Many years ago, when I was first living in Oslo, I would sometimes board a local bus in the middle of the afternoon, and the spectacle that greeted my eyes as I walked up the aisle to find a seat was one that, in any other part of the world, would have been inconceivable, and that it took me a while to get used to: many of the passengers would be perky, peppy blonde girls on their way home at the end of a day of high school, and every one of them would be, by ordinary international standards, just plain beautiful. If you were a stranger to Scandinavia, you might have thought that the highest-charging models from all of the top modeling agencies were being bussed to a location shoot for a spread in Vogue.

Those images from Oslo came to mind as I was reading one of the early chapters in Robert Spencer’s characteristically brilliant and learned new book, Holy Hell: Islam’s Abuse of Women and the Infidels Who Enable It. In it, Spencer recounts a story told by Arabic scholars: once, when Muhammed was trying to work up his men’s enthusiasm for a plan to attack the Romans – religion of peace, remember? – he pointed out that the Roman women were blondes. Muhammed and his fellow denizens of the desert, you see, were big on blondes. And this Arabic taste for flaxen-haired females persisted into the succeeding centuries, when caliphs collected Byzantine slave girls because, in the words of one source, they were possessed of “blond hair, blue or green eyes, a pure and healthy visage, lovely breasts, a delicate waist, and a body that is like camphor or a flood of dazzling light.” Ah, those poetic Arabs! Spencer puts it a bit more prosaically: “Jihadists love blondes.”

Which brings me back to my memories of those bus rides in Oslo. For in addition to those blonde girls on the bus, there were, naturally, also blond boys. While the blonde girls were, as noted, almost uniformly vivacious, the blond boys tended to be more low-key – as boys of that age, I guess, usually are in such circumstances. And there were other boys and girls as well: Muslim girls, many of them in hijab, and virtually all of them quite sedate, even somber. And the Muslim boys? They were animated, often boisterously so. And some of them were plainly cozy with blonde girls.

Indeed, as my period of residence in Oslo stretched into years, and my social life brought me into contact with more and more young (and not so young) Norwegian women, I discovered that the Arab male’s fondness for the blonde female was, not infrequently, reciprocated – at least when the blonde female is a Norwegian of the present day. Why? Part of the reason, I came to understand, was that, over the past half century or so, Scandinavian society has become highly feminized. No men on earth are more respectful of women, more polite, more deferential, than Scandinavian men. Certainly not all Scandinavian men, but many of them, have been raised to be beta males. It’s Sweden, after all, that boasts of having “the world’s first feminist government.” And it’s Norway that claims to be the world’s “peace nation,” teaching its children that making peace is always preferable to making war. It’s a tried-and-true formula for creating docile men.

The problem, alas, is that once Scandinavian women had succeeded in taming their Vikings, they realized they didn’t want gentle men – or, for that matter, gentlemen. So it is that when you walk these days through the streets of Oslo, or any other Scandinavian city, you’ll see a lot of blondes strolling arm in arm with macho Muslim men. They’re probably not married: on the contrary, most of the men likely have wives at home – Muslim wives – tending the kitchen and taking care of the children. The wives probably know about the girlfriends, but dare not breathe a word of criticism, because they know their husbands have the sacred right to smack them upside the head if they get out of line; and the blondes may or may not know about the wives, but what they almost certainly don’t know is that their exotic lovers, who they may think of as being deeply in love with them, view them, in fact, as infidel whores whom they’re permitted to ravage precisely because they’re of no intrinsic human worth whatsoever.

In my years in Scandinavia, I’ve encountered more than a few of these women. I’ve witnessed many a blonde’s starry-eyed adoration for her gruff, loutish barbarian. And I’ve witnessed the anguish when the barbarian moves on to a new blonde. What I’ve never witnessed is a sign that any of these women has ever learned a larger lesson from her experience. Bottom line: today’s Scandinavia is overrun with naive blonde females who are drawn to dark, exotic, potentially violent alpha males – which in this part of the world means, almost exclusively, Muslims – but who are clueless about what it means to have a relationship with an authentic adherent of the Religion of Peace.

What those women don’t know – and what they desperately need to know – is what you’ll find in Spencer’s new book. Just for starters, they don’t know that in Islam, forced sex with a wife doesn’t count as rape. Neither does forced sex with an infidel. Why? Simple: men are higher up in the hierarchy than women, and Muslims are higher up in the hierarchy than infidels. And in Islam, sex plays a major role in – well, in everything. Indeed, the more you learn about the religion, the more it seems to have been designed by horny young men as a framework within which they can have as much sex as they want, with very little obligation in return and with an extraordinary range of partners, while women, under the same framework, are expected to shut up and obey. And just as sex, under Islam, encodes the dominance of the male over the female, it also plays a key role in the articulation of Islamic power over the infidel. As Spencer puts it, “rape of infidel women is…useful as a means to humiliate the defeated infidel force, as well as a means of social control and to aid in the redrawing of ethnic boundaries. On top of all that is the divine sanction given to it all. Rape of infidel women in a jihad war is not just something the commanders permit, as a means to humiliate the infidels. It is a holy act.”

Now, your typical high-school tootsie in Oslo – let’s call her Ingrid – might protest as follows: “But Ahmed has never raped me!” Well, that’s because you’ve always put out. Try resisting. (Good luck with that.) And try taking a step or two back to see what role your relationship with Ahmed is playing in the currently unfolding history of your civilization. What you think of, Ingrid, as a private affair – an enchanting intercultural romance between a daughter of Western power and privilege and a son of Third World poverty and pestilence – is, from the perspective of Ahmed and all his brothers in the faith who now find themselves in the land of the infidel, just one front in a broad, long-term (but not really all that long-term) transfer of power from infidel parliaments to Muslim caliphates. By diddling you, in short, Ahmed is doing his own part to defeat, to humiliate, to express control. To put it a bit differently, there are other ways of committing jihad than by flying planes into skyscrapers, shooting up dance clubs, or setting off bombs at concert arenas.

Then again, it’s unfair to blame poor Ingrid for not knowing any of this stuff. After all, ISIS, when it was running its caliphate in Iraq and Syria a decade ago, seized Yazidi and Christian girls and pressed them into sex slavery – and Western authorities who commented on this development, from Barack Obama to David Cameron, made sure to deny that such atrocities had anything whatsoever to do with Islam. Lies, of course. As Spencer documents exhaustively, the endorsement of such conduct by Islamic authorities goes back to the time of Muhammed. A thousand years ago, in Muslim-controlled Spain, “Muslims could buy non-Muslim girls even when the girls were no more than eleven years old, and force them into sex slavery.” (So much for the legend of glamorous, romantic Andalus.)

And in our own time, in one country after another, Muslims who have raped infidel children have cited Islam’s holy books in their defense. One 12-year-old victim testified that her rapist had told her “that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God” (and hence, I might add, putting a distinctly unsavory Islamic twist onto the title of the old hymn “Nearer, My God, to Thee”). In cities across Britain, so-called “grooming gangs” of Pakistani men have for decades been systematically raping working-class white girls without a trace of guilt – thanks, Muhammed! – and, in most cases, with absolute impunity, their offenses having been ignored by public officials who were scared of being called racists or of disrupting “social harmony between communities.” (As if a country where men from one “community” rape thousands upon thousands of children from another “community” can be described as enjoying “social harmony”!) In most cases, this fear of stepping on the toes of your daughter’s rapists is at the center of the refusal of Western adults – adults who, in reality, know better – to take responsibility in these matters.

Spencer’s book is, then, in large part, a hair-curling catalogue of horror stories about the Islamic rape of infidels in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and Australia – stories that could wisen up (and perhaps even save the life of) any halfway intelligent Western woman with a lust for Muslim manhood, if only she were willing to listen. It’s also a compendium of cowardice, chockablock with outrageous accounts of police officers and social workers who, when presented with overwhelming evidence of Islamic sex crimes against children, chose to stay silent, as well as of high-level political officials, including Keith Ellison and Marco Rubio, who have heatedly denied any connection between Islam itself and the patently Islamic precepts that permit the sexual abuse of infidels.

The contents of Holy Hell are so sensational that the book can be very hard to put down; but even for a reader who’s steeped in this sort of thing, they can also be so disgusting, so repellent, so vile – and, not least, so utterly maddening – that you may find yourself driven to a seemingly impotent rage. But, as Spencer underscores, none of us is impotent in the face of this civilizational crisis. What it will take to resist the Islamic assault on our most cherished values is the wisdom to recognize just how much is at stake, the courage to speak up about it to everyone possible, and the willingness to gather in numbers to compel one’s leaders to do what’s necessary – however radical – to save the West from its most ancient of enemies.

I am of German and Italian decent,, American now but my mother a blue eyed blonde.. and both of my sons are blonde hair and green eyes are NOT BETA MALES.. in fact ALPHA,, boxing, fishing and great shots.. etc. and then some. I don’t know what is going on in Sweden. I also for sure DO NOT LIKE THE LOOKS NOR ATTITUDES of the SURLY, HAIRY.. looking Muslims.. nor do I like their “B.S. SHARIA law… and my mother, German was extremely brilliant.. spoke five languages. (Lutheran) would not tolerate that nonsense for a second. so MAYBE.. go do some more research on that one

  2. This seems to be stereotyping of White, blonde, blue/green-eyed women.

    Some women….certainly not **all** women…may like males who are not “gentlemen.”

    Perhaps too many women in those lands may believe their romantic thoughts and desires can be satisfied by muzzie males.
    However, just as women cannot truly know and understand the minds of men, the same is true in the opposite…. men cannot truly know and understand women.

    Just because muzzie males “prefer” blondes, the opposite for many of us is so far from the Truth as to be almost laughable. It’s like saying islime is peaceful and muzzies never lie.

    I have met and gotten to know all kinds of men. In fact, I was raised in a household of eight men; so I was accustomed to being treated by gentlemen and on the outside, some gentlemen and some not.

    From my standpoint, women who “prefer” the non-gentlemen, have an identify of self problem. Wanting to be wanted by a muzzie male, is a mental illness issue.

    • Both those I know who, when younger, got involved with muslim men had lost a parent as teenagers and told me that the entanglements were a “self-hating thing to do.” One was neither blonde nor attractive but the muslim was her husband’s business partner and it made me suspect that it was a dominance move on his part. She attempted to commit suicide when he dumped her and thanked her husband for his caretaking by having another affair, so mental health issues for certain. That’s my general opinion; Dubai PortaPotty females clearly have serious issues.

        In a lot of old movies….mainly written by men, or taken from books written by men…the woman in the script will show disdain for the “gentleman” and fall for the rough, gruff, stubborn, arrogant male. Even Gone With the Wind was like that.

        One of those John Wayne movies with Maureen O’Hara comes to mind. It had a scene where she was running from him in her underwear and the whole town…men and women…were laughing and egging him on. That scene, for me. ruined a half-way decent movie.
        The mentally healthy woman does not want to be *dominated.* The healthy woman wants someone who is willing to protect her from danger, from other men, but she doesn’t want him browbeating and manipulating her.

        God told Eve that women would need a husband, but that being imperfect, the man would dominate her. He did not say that the woman would ‘like’ being dominated.

        Men can’t really understand the female mind, but they write scripts which show they think they know what makes women happy, some women seem to fall for the male’s idea.

        • Thank you, HP. There were some times of real stress in my childhood, but overall, the brothers older than I, showed respect to their wives…so as a young girl, I could see that it wasn’t just toward me as their sister.
          Uncles and male cousins were also around a lot. None were perfect, but compared to muzzie treatment of females, it was like the difference between Arctic snow and Death Valley heat

        British women are raped all day, not one British man went to avenge his daughter. So…. Yes women are converting to safety, the future leadership of the UK.

        When it comes to a war of control, do you really expect her British father to fight for his country if he won’t fight for his daughter? Hell no he won’t. He will pay the jizya.

        Women can feel it in the air , who’s in charge, who’s not touchable by police. It’s about safety and pro creation.

    • I think that rather than claiming that a majority of blondes prefer jihadists, Bruce Bawer is suggesting that a majority of jihadists prefer blondes. Who, among other things, are completely infidel to start w/, and so a great conquest for islam if they can have them

      Yeah, disgusting, no doubt, but on par for this bunch. As for the blondes, I would distinguish b/w 3 subsets of them:

      ⮞ Those who are unattracted to muslims but are targeted by them, and often molested against their will. They may or may not be ignorant of islam
      ⮞ Those who are ignorant of islam and attracted to them
      ⮞ Those who are not ignorant of islam and willingly convert, and then go on to marry jihadists. This includes women who may otherwise, in a Western setting, be feminist and not be willing to let Western men have the latitude that they give muslim men

      • He is saying that about muzzies ‘preferring blondes.’
        But, he seems to also be saying that women….esp where he lives….prefer the thugs… muzzies…. who will mistreat them. They don’t want men who are ‘gentlemen’ and would treat them with respect.
        Supposedly, the women chased out the Vikings, but modern women miss the mistreatment of being enslaved and so are clinging to the scummy muzzies.

        He’s not a woman, so he can’t know the thinking of women and what he ‘observes’ is not necessarily true (and is not true) of all women.

        If the only attention I could get was from the scummy thugs, I prefer no attention at all.

    • I believe most women go through a period of being attracted to a ‘bad boy’. A person who does NOT have the deferential and respectful attitude towards them. Or perhaps a swarthy looking dark, handsome brute who needs ‘taming’.

      Middle Eastern men have beards at a very young age (even their sperms have beards!), and so appear dark and swarthy and seem very much more developed and mature.

      Fortunately for society, most of these women grow out of this phase, building their own self esteem and use more intelligence in their selection of male partners.

      • I have met and know many women. I have yet to meet those “most” women you write of wanting to be with some ‘bad boy.’ some “swarthy” pirate type.
        Any female who gets pleasure from being kicked about….mentally, emotionally, physically and see it as *romantic* are to some extent mentally ill.

        Men should not try to get inside the head of ‘most’ women and decide what, whom and why of the person they may find attractive. Just as women cannot get inside the heads of ‘most’ men and make decisions about their thinking, choice of partner, etc.

On one side it is men beating women in to submission and on the other side it is women beating men in to submission. In that scenario, eventually, the muslim men beat the leftist females in to submission. Who will win is not a serious question to be considered. That is not even a question at all.

  6. I am not a leftist beta male and the women that have been in my life have always had the freedom to think or do what they want, to a point. Here is an example. Years ago I was doing upgrades from Windows XP to Windows 7 for T-mobile outlets throughout all southern California counties. I would set it up with the local manager beforehand and I had a list of stops to make on a particular day. I would plug in a USB and get it started and then go sit in my car for about and hour while the installation ran. One time I brought my girlfriend along with me and we went through the list but I underestimated the time it would take to complete it (bandwidth in locations varied and some locations were real slow while others were fast). When we got to my final location it was well after dark. I looked around and said to her, I dont like the look of this area we are going home. She said, no go ahead and finish up, I’ll be OK out here. I said, nope, not happening, I will come back tomorrow alone. And that is what I did. And we both lived happily ever after.

    The city of Aleppo witnessed a bloody escalation, mirroring the crimes and violations committed by the Syrian Interim Government forces in the coastal region and Suwaida. This occurred amidst continued ambiguity and a media blackout surrounding numerous crimes in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented shocking violations, summary executions, and the mutilation of bodies, resulting in the deaths of 23 people—acts described as full-fledged war crimes.

    These bloody events reveal a security breakdown and a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, all under a deafening silence. Aleppo’s neighborhoods are being transformed into scenes of executions and collective revenge, while demands escalate for accountability for those responsible for these horrific crimes and for them not to escape punishment.

    According to documentation:

    15 members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), including 4 women, were deliberately burned alive in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

    – A female Asayish member was killed during clashes, and her body was then thrown from the top of a building in a shocking scene.

    – 4 Asayish members were killed during the ongoing confrontations in the neighborhood.

    – An unidentified person was summarily executed and his body mutilated after being arrested by the Syrian Transitional Government forces.

    – Two men were summarily executed in the Ashrafieh neighborhood.

    The total number of martyrs and those killed since the first day of the escalation in Aleppo neighborhoods has reached 105, including:

    45 civilians, among them 8 women and 5 children, broken down as follows:

    – 32 in Sheikh Maqsoud, including 6 women and 4 children.

    – 4 in al-Midan, including 2 women and a child.

    – 2 staff members of the Othman Hospital in the Ashrafieh neighborhood were summarily executed.

    – 7 men were summarily executed in the Ashrafieh neighborhood.

    59 military personnel:

    – 38 from the Ministry of Defense.

    – 15 members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), including 4 women, whose bodies were burned in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

    – 1 female member of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) was killed during clashes in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, and her body was thrown from the top of a building.

    – 5 members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) were killed during clashes in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

    An unidentified person:

    Summarily executed and his body mutilated after his arrest by the Syrian Transitional Government forces.

    A large number of people remain missing, and their fate is still unknown.

  9. Bruce Bawer was very clear . however , I would also like to know what HE , a known homosexual , thinks about muslim men .

    • From what I have read from him in past decades, he seems to have a pretty dim view of islam and muslims in general. One thing different about him is that his attacks on islam are from an Atheist POV

Actually, islam is the perfect strawman that Atheists could use to bash organized religion, which is one more reason that I have often, if not always, maintained that islam is not a religion

        • the true atheist does not accept religions . the “progressives” , – call them what you will – are not true “atheists” : their religion is marxism , which in many respects is indeed a religion (a currently weak religion : it would take too long to demonstrate here , but the proof exists) .
          true islàm is necessarily religion and politics , like two sides of the same coin .
          true islàm is currently much stronger than marxism , and will probably annihilate it .

  10. Islam does not belong in the West. I am puzzled that Marco Rubio would take up the side of the deniers. He has been suggested to be a running mate with J.D.Vance. Maybe Desantis is the better choice for running mate or President.

    • Yeah, I’d prefer either DeSantis or Tulsi Gabbard as Vance’s running mate. Either can complement him in terms of their knowledge of jihad, if not islam
