After all the saber-rattling, all the threats and boasting and screams of “Death to America,” as the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier nears the Islamic Republic of Iran, now suddenly the mullahs want to talk. Well, will wonders never cease.
Fox News reported Monday that, according to President Donald Trump, Iran “appears to be looking to negotiate with the U.S. amid a growing military buildup in the Middle East.” Trump said, “They want to make a deal. I know so. They called on numerous occasions. They want to talk.”
Talking, however, is one thing, and actually coming to an agreement is quite another. Trump doesn’t appear inclined to offer the mullahs an Obamaesque sweetheart deal, or send them billions, as did Old Joe Biden’s handlers. Instead, “any potential agreement would need Tehran to remove all enriched uranium, cap its long-range missile stockpile, a change in support for regional proxy forces, and cease independent uranium enrichment, terms Iranian leaders have not agreed to.” Nor are they likely to do so.
However, their backs are against the wall, and that can make the impossible suddenly seem readily attainable. Trump observed that the situation was “in flux,” and noted that there was now “a big armada next to Iran. Bigger than Venezuela.” Was Trump suggesting that Iran’s supreme leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, could go the way of Nicolás Maduro? Stranger things have happened. And so, eyeing that aircraft carrier, the mullahs are contacting Trump and wanting to talk.
Is it worth doing so? Unlikely. For there to be the possibility of any lasting peace in the region, the Islamic Republic will have to fall. Otherwise, its rulers are going to continue to scream “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” and in light of that, any cap on their long-range missile stockpile is just a detail; it’s not going to stop them from working toward that goal in all manner of ways.
In a nationally televised address in November 2023, Khamenei explained, “The situation between America and Iran is this: When you chant ‘Death to America!’ it is not just a slogan – it is a policy. I have stated the reasons previously. For many years, from the 1940s to the 1970s – that is 30 years – the Americans did everything they could do against the Iranian nation. They hit Iran in any way they could – financially, economically, politically, scientifically, and morally.” And now the Islamic Republic is determined to hit us back, one way or another, in any way that the opportunity arises to do so.
If Khamenei and his minions make a deal with Trump, it also must be remembered that it won’t be worth the paper it’s printed on. As The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran explains, the Islamic concept of taqiyya, lying to deceive one’s enemies, is a particularly Shi’ite concept, and the Islamic Republic of Iran is a Shi’ite nation.

That “Let’s make a deal” junk shows that Islamic tyranny is about to collapse . Hitler attempted the same thing with America when he understood that has regime was about the fall.
After so many promises by President Trump to help the iranian people, likesie after so many of them were murdered in their righteous and just quest to free themselves from that wicked tyrannical Islamic regime it would be treacherous of Trump to let the people of Iran down now , because of that insincere lying “Let’s make deal” ploy.

Watching Armin Navami, he said that the “deal” is just terms of surrender. Currently, the regime has something from 1-20% support, but if they agree to the terms in question, their own people will turn on them. Which is why accepting this surrender is not an option
This thing has dragged on over a month. Can’t wait for this ordeal of the Iranian people to be over

If the 20% supporters turn on Khamenei what would they do with him? He nothing more than a human-appointed first-level spokesman for a “god” who has never spoken to him or any other currently-living person.
If overthrown, does he get exile to France with a pallet of Obama cash, something in the line of Mussolini, or just fade into obscurity?
Considering the IRGC is the real muscle and weapon holder, would its leaders just prop another Ayatollah on the “throne” to keep their privileges and control? After 46 years of control and perks they seem to have a hybrid system has that worked so well for themselves – they might try it again.

Khamenei’s supporters will only turn on him if he starts making compromises w/ either of the satans – US or Israel. They are stupid enough to believe the official propaganda, so it’s a no-win situation for the regime. If they provoke either a US or an Israeli attack, their defenses will be dismantled and they will collapse. If they decide to agree to what Trump is demanding, then that 20% or whatever number of their core, fanatical followers will turn on them. Therefore, it seems that they’ve decided to not outrage those core followers, but oppose the US & Israel to the end
As for Khamenei, he’s a larger than life figure in Iran. He was president of Iran during Khomenei’s rule, and after the latter’s death in 1989, he succeeded him, and has been in that role since. If he dies, there is no one for the regime to really rally around, although his son Mostafa Khamenei is said to be one of his successors. Today, on that Navabi-Ghamari show, they were showing pictures of Khamenei’s mansion in Tehran, and speculating that an internal IRGC person must have leaked it, since normal Iranians aren’t allowed anywhere near it. That looks like a good target to bomb, if we ultimately decide to do it

After that brutal cruel savagely murderously evil Islamic regime is overthrone. as it should be, and a legitimate government is established ,which respects basic human rights and natural freedoms , it’s very appropriate that a type of Tehran trials , similar to the Nuremberg trials after World War II. Those cruel oppressive death -inflicting desposts along with their thugs called the Revolutionary Guards and the “morality police” all need to stand in judgement in such a trial.
For it’s just too late for any type of “diplomatic settlement’.” The reason why this is so is because the massive human carnage is so horrendous that those murderous despots of Iran must be brought to justice. Likewise, their tyrannical Islamic regime need to be destroyed.

One thing I disagree w/ Robert above – and outside this site, w/ both Armin Navabi and Goldie Ghamari – is the assertion that shi’ite islam is worse than sunnite islam. Since RS has written a qur’an, he knows the difference b/w the shi’a and sunni doctrines, and it’s not taqiyya. It’s good that most Iranians are throwing off islam in its entirety and it’s funny to watch them abusing Muhammad, Fatima, Hossein,…. but that’s not something a sunni theocracy would tolerate any more than a shi’a one has. Iranians should just throw off islam as a whole, and not make distinctions b/w shi’a and sunni in this regard. Hopefully, the non-Farsis of Iran – particularly the Kurds and Balochis – will join the Farsis, Azeris and even Khuzestani Arabs in throwing off islam

Therefore it should be made known that if the founder of the current Islamic tyranny ,Ayatollah Khomeini would still be alive today ,he would spit on those Westerners who say that “Islam is a non-violent religion.”
If Ayatollah Khomeini had clearly announced that “Those who know nothing about Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war….There are hundreds psalms and hadiths urging of Muslims to value war and to fight. …I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” [1] So if he was alive today who would spit on those Westerners who say that “Islam is a non-violent religion.” [1]
There are also many places in the Qu ‘ran that instruct in violence and killing for the cause of Islam.
