Iran’s strong condemnation of America (aka the “Great Satan,” as it is known in the Islamic Republic of Iran), is to be expected. The regime is terrified and has every reason to be, given the current domestic upheaval which threatens to topple it, and its partnership with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro that has come to an abrupt end.
Recall that in 2022, during the major uprising in Iran over the regime’s murder of young Mahsa Amini for wearing her hijab wrong, the Islamic regime eyed Venezuela as a sanctuary for its fallen leaders. Upon whom will it rely now if the new uprising results in the end of the regime?
As stated in Jihad Watch previously under the headline “Iran increases military presence In Venezuela with drone factory”:
In August 2022, Venezuela provided Iran with 1,000,000 hectares of “farmland for cultivation.” Cultivation of what? It should have been obvious that the intention was malign and detrimental to Western interests. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro also visited Tehran that year, signing a 20-year partnership agreement “on cooperation with Iran in various fields.” In 2020, then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned an antiterrorism conference in Colombia about the Iranian proxy Hizballah’s presence in Venezuela, and an exiled former mayor, Antonio Ledezma, stated that Hizballah would participate in overseeing Venezuelan regional elections. Ledezma called Venezuela “a den for terrorist groups.”
Iran has lost a partner it depended on, so it will continue to double down on America, as it holds on by a thread amid yet another public revolt. Its fear is already being noted in Israel:

And while Iran is “paying close attention,” it should remember Hizballah’s exploding pagers, too.

Iran has strongly condemned the US attack on Venezuela, describing it as a “blatant violation” of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“The US military attack on Venezuela constitutes a clear violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and the basic rules of international law, particularly Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the Charter, which prohibits the use of force,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
It “condemned the United States’ military aggression against Venezuela and the blatant violation of the country’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” it went on.
The attack is “a textbook example of an act of aggression that must be explicitly condemned immediately by the United Nations and by all states concerned with upholding the rule of law, peace, and international security,” the statement added.
The ministry also reaffirmed Venezuela’s “inherent right to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and right to self-determination.”
It emphasized the legal and moral responsibility of all states and international organizations, particularly the UN Security Council, to act immediately to halt what it described as “illegal US aggression” and to ensure accountability for those responsible for planning and carrying out the attacks.
US President Donald Trump has confirmed that his forces conducted a “large scale strike against Venezuela,” claiming President Nicolas Maduro has been captured and flown from the country….

On the Venezuelan operation itself, I wonder how the America-only part of MAGA feels about it? They’re opposed to regime change wars, but this is exactly what it is: We are making decisions on what’s next for Venezuela, so it’s not like Venezuela’s VP Delcy Rodriguez will simply be allowed to take over. So far, on the good side, it looks like the overthrow of Manuel Noriega in 1989. Just hope that we won’t be involved in nationbuilding there, and I’m not sure whether “taking their oil” would cover it in case we do
Most Latin American countries seem to be on our side, although Mexico, Nicaragua, Cuba and Brazil have opposed it. Brazil is another country that needs a leadership change

Iran/Hezbollah is firmly entrenched in the drug trade in Venezuela. Cuba has trained and indoctrinated all levels of the police and military there and all this to the benefit of Russia and China.
The geopolitical balance will be shifted rightfully to the Western Hemisphere and to the Venezuelan people.
