Husam Badran, a member of the political bureau of the Hamas terrorist organization, addressed the ongoing ceasefire negotiations on Tuesday, claiming that Israel’s demand for Hamas to disarm is an attempt to obstruct the implementation of the agreement’s second phase.
According to Badran, the second phase is intended to include a complete withdrawal of IDF forces from the Gaza Strip, the start of infrastructure reconstruction, the delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid, and efforts to secure Gaza’s political and administrative future.
Badran argued that what he described as the “right to resistance” is protected under international law, and he claimed that Hamas’ weapons are used for “self-defense against the occupation.” He insisted that this is an internal Palestinian issue that should not be dictated by external powers.
He further stated that Hamas has complied with all terms of the agreement’s first phase, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he alleged, has “reneged on his commitments,” particularly regarding the reopening of the Rafah crossing and the withdrawal from combat zones where IDF forces remain deployed….

The “reason” that Hamas refuses to disarm is because at that Hamas official, Husan Badran said those weapons are needed “ ‘defense against occupation,’” .Badran’s statement exposed his ignorance and deluded way of thinking and also the other Muslim members of that murderous jihad terrorist entity. In which the remaining living hostages ,and all but one of the dead hostages, were returned home. Now that one dead hostage has also been returned.
We could just end the play here, as getting the hostages, living and dead, back to their families, was quite a noble accomplishment.

Now we are all to pretend we believe there will be an Act II.
An Act II where Hamas lays down their arms and disbands.
After all, they agreed to.
But since we all know this is not possible for a Sunni Islamist Jihadi to do, let’s see what really happens. Didn’t they see what happened to Hizbollah, Lebanon, Syria and Iran? Yes, but those were Shias.
In Act II, the “Palestinians”, played by various Sunni Islamists, carry on with their portrayal of aggrieved freedom fighters. (They are good at it. They have been playing the role since the script was written for them by Egyptian Yasser Arafat in 1964. Liberation Movement is much more dramatic than mere Arab Islamists and it plays well with the Western Left.

1.). The utter defeat of Hamas
and
2.) No “Palestinian” State.
If the Sunnis can’t get Hamas to comply now, then they clearly would not be able to in the future. The Sunnis forfeit their claim for a rocket launch pad on Israel’s border.
