In Europe, mental illness is the default explanation for jihad activity. Authorities don’t want to admit that such a thing as jihad exists, so they have to classify jihadis as something else. Ahmad Jihad Bojeh looks as if he has been intent on killing people at random for quite some time. Where did he get this idea? Might it have something to do with the repeated calls from ISIS and al-Qaeda to murder random Americans and Europeans? Authorities are virtually certain not to investigate that possibility.
An update on this story. “Florida madman stalked tourists near Disney before allegedly killing them in random attack: family,” by Sarah Rumpf-Whitten, Fox News, January 20, 2026:
Three men who were waiting for assistance after car trouble were stalked from a distance before they were allegedly gunned down by a “frequent flyer” with the criminal justice system in Florida, the victims’ families said.
According to a joint statement from their families shared with Fox News Digital, the men had traveled to Central Florida to attend the Mecum Car Show, the world’s largest collector car auction, and were staying at an Airbnb. The families said that the suspect eyed the victims at a distance before they were shot and killed.
“There were no known interactions between the men and this individual prior to the event; they were then approached and senselessly murdered,” the family said. “This was a random, tragic act.”
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at 12:14 p.m. Saturday in the Indian Point subdivision. When deputies arrived, they discovered three men dead in front of the residence, all suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
The victims were identified as Robert Luis Kraft, 70, of Holland, Michigan; his brother Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, of Columbus, Ohio; and James John Puchan, 69, also of Columbus.
The men, according to the family statement, were preparing to travel home on Saturday but were forced to extend their stay due to rental car trouble. The “random” shooting happened as they were standing outside the residence waiting for a replacement rental car to arrive.
The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, who lived next door to the rental property.
According to the sheriff’s department, authorities observed Bojeh flee to his residence shortly after the shooting, where he was later detained and found with two firearms. He has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
Bojeh had multiple prior encounters with the criminal justice system before Saturday’s deadly shooting, including a 2021 case in which he was charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm and aggravated battery after allegedly shooting at a person and random vehicles in a Kissimmee gas station parking lot.
Court records obtained by Fox News Digital show Bojeh was later found not guilty by reason of insanity in that case.
Additional records show Bojeh had prior arrests for felony drug possession and misdemeanor resisting an officer without violence, reflecting years of repeated contact with law enforcement.

The LE officer said that this goon was a ‘threat to the community’ due to his prior criminal actions.
Since the jury found him not guilty by reason of insanity, he should have been locked away until such time (and it would have never arrived) as he could be found sane.
Three men lost their lives because some jury fell for the *insanity* defense and some unnamed authority allowed this scum to go free.
and….he showed that he knows right from wrong by ambushing and then fleeing. A truly insane person cannot distinguish wrong actions from correct ones and will not run from punishment.
I do wish that Florida would expel all muzzies.

somehistory,
To your point, in a prior case, this muslim was found “not guilty by reason of insanity”. I assume that this was diagnosed by multiple psychiatrists and that he received some sort of inpatient care.
Questions:
What criteria did the psychiatric medical staff use as a “test of cure / control” before his release from the psychiatric hospital?:
1. What medications / psychotherapy was he prescribed?
2. What would be the follow-up care regimen?
3. Most importantly, if it was determined by the psychiatric medical staff that the islamic religious ideology exacerbated his underlying mental illness, would they recommend leaving the religion? If not, why not?
And who is going to be held accountable after he was found “cured” and committed another act of terror?
somehistory says
Thank you, James. I wondered the same things. Someone needs to be held accountable. He should not have been walking around free.
Medical insanity and legal insanity are not the same thing;;;;but people think they are.
I saw another news article ( Florida)….where a goon had been arrested and put in jail for an assault. He was freed, went to a school bus stop and began assaulting a child with a switchblade. He managed to cut the boy before the child escaped.
A bystander tried getting between the goon and the student, and was said to have used his toolbox as a defense.
The police found the goon on the ground with a head injury and he’s being evaluated for mental issues.
At one time, it was harder to win a defense based on the claim of insanity because the bar was set high enough to keep out pretenders. Now people are so unhinged, the jury sees them as crazy.

somehistory,
Thanks for your reply and added information.

Thank you, James.

It would perhaps not be so bad if these “mentally ill” Muslims were just institutionalized for life–but so often after a few months they are found to now be sane are just released–often to victimize or even murder more victims.

A different objection I have to classifying what are clearly crimes as “mental illness” is that it hijacks resources from people who do genuinely suffer from actual mental illnesses
Ralph says
All good points, James. I worked in psych hospitals (inpatient medical clerk) for over 20 years and my position in such cases is that the murderer IS guilty and that the sentencing can be adjusted to assign guilt if proven and not to “whitewash” this clear guilt by blaming the murder on a mental illness.
The appropriate punishment would have been to house the murderer in a locked psychiatric facility until/unless the murderer is certified as no longer being a danger to society and then assigned to a mental health halfway house under observation by licensed psychiatric clinicians, Being afflicted with a mental illness should never be a “Get out of Jail Free” card, providing that incarceration can be in a mental hospital.
Wellington says
Well, in a limited way I can support this mentally ill argument (excuse?), i.e., if one is an adult and really believes all the rot which the worst religion of all time has spewed forth to mankind since the 7th century AD, then there is something mentally going on which is, if I may so, not kosher.
I am skeptical of all religions because all religions very much tend to put forth dogma as fact. Having said this, I still think religion in general is necessary for society as a whole because so many religions, including all major religions minus Islam, have established ethical norms which are conducive to society functioning better rather than worse. Besides, I could be wrong about the theological veracity of a religion like Christianity or Hinduism. I don’t think I am but not to consider error on my part would not be kosher, now would it?
nicholas william tesdorf says
Anyone who has read the Qur’an, and the Haddith knows that it is quite true that Islam is a form of mental illness. However, this is not all there is to the story, as only a few people are researching the cure for the illness in Christianity.
Paul S Bunting says
What “illness in Christianity” are you referring to? “White guilt?”
somehistory says
I believe he’s saying the “cure” is in Christianity. But, I could be wrong.

Florida: Muslim who murdered three men at random shot at people at random before, was found to be ‘mentally ill’
…………………………………………
If homicidal mental illness is so common among Muslims, perhaps we should stop importing so many of them?
Walter Sieruk says
This is a further example, of which if that Muslim man really is “mentally ill” it’s because his religion drove him crazy..
To this in another way, he is dangerously and criminally insane of Islam.
Holger Kruger says
Dead penalty had bean the best.
Her is 2 reason for that.
1.
No more killing.
2.
If he realy was psycarity ill. Why he have to go free?
He had to stay in psyciatry hospital for the rest of his live. He killing 3 men. That is the same as 3 live sentence in jail. Now he so not can stay in the jail because illness. So the scrink hospital caling.
Captain Quirk says
1. There are many, many people in Western Europe who are of the opinion that the one doesn’t exclude the other, i.e. one can be mentally ill and commit heinous crimes, expressly in the name of allah.
2. One must be whacky to begin with if one bows for the devil.

Stop it! Why can’t any of you use the real term for this so called mental illness……EVIL !

What has happened in Florida show up the power of the Muslims in USA.
“Always mental ill criminal is against any non-Muslims we never found mental ill murder against Muslim.”
