Islamic State is celebrating the beheading of five Christians in the Lubero District of North Kivu, north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
In a social media post, the terrorists declared “praise be to God” for the killings in the village of Musenge on January 24.
Local media sources report that the five were among at least 25 civilians murdered by fighters from Islamic State Central Africa Province (ISCAP).
The fighters also burned down a church building, a health center, and 63 homes – almost the entire village.
Many villagers have now fled the area, adding to the growing total of people in Christian-majority north-eastern DRC displaced by ISCAP and other armed groups such as the M23 movement.
“How can we understand that fighters have been operating freely for over two weeks in the same area, attacking village after village, without any effective response from the security forces?” asked a community leader in Musenge….
ISCAP (formerly known as the Allied Democratic Forces, or ADF) has claimed the killing of more than 800 Christians in north-eastern DRC since its violence against Christian communities escalated in December 2024.
On January 16, the terrorists claimed the beheading of five “infidels” in the village of Bukia, also in Lubero District. Three days later seven more Christians were killed in Mafwi, Lubero.
Six other believers were beheaded in separate attacks in the neighboring province of Ituri on January 23, one near Mambelenga and the other in Ofaye Otto Maber.

Does the UN know – or care about such barbarism? I realize many examples in jihadwatch are cherry-picked – but if reality in these global venues they add up to atrocities perpetuated by one large group (cult, religion).

I guess I must be Old Testament, because if a Muslim from Pakistan raped my daughter or granddaughter and the authorites did their usual, cowardlt\y nothing, I would track down the rapist and kill them.

Until Christians realize the danger they are in and step-up and start defending themselves and the Faith the violence will never end. For every Christian murdered, two moslems must meet the same fate. For every Christian church defiled and burned, two mosques. Until Christians make it clear to the moslems that there will be consequences, serious consequences, for their actions this kind of violence will never end.
Christianity isn’t some kind of pacifistic death cult like some would claim and if the violence doesn’t end Christianity will be greatly reduced by the end of this decade and will be extinct by the next.

Well said, William. Christians have got to realize that Muslims are waging war, that Christians are entitled to defend themselves and their churches, and must fight back. The notion of ‘gentle Jesus meek and mild’ is drivel. He advised that people should sell clothing in order to buy a sword for self-defence. The threat threat and conquest of Islam is what brought about the crusades to defend Christianity. Britains should be organizing vigilantes and after a girl is raped by some piece of Pakistani vermin and the authorities do nothing, go out, find the Muslim and carry out justice.

Jesus Christ warned His disciples that this persecution to the death would come and increase just before He returns to bring relief and judgment. He told them to “count the cost” and if one ‘puts his hand to the plow,’ not to look back.
He promised a resurrection to those who die faithful and said that some seeing these things ‘would never die at all.’
Jesus said when Christians are persecuted, they should “flee to the next city.” He said that before all of the cities were involved, He would return.
Africa probably has few cities left where this is not happening. His return is imminent.
