Chicago Islamic scholar claims the only Muslims Trump wants in U.S. ‘are the ones who only give up their religion’

Khalid Nijmeh even claims that Trump said this, which is an obvious lie in light of the fact that second-term Trump has never shown any signs of noticing that there is any problem with Islam at all. According to a hadith, Muhammad said, “War is deceit.” (Bukhari 4.52.268).

Chicago imam and activist Khalid Nijmeh said at a December 26, 2025 session of the Islamic Oasis Winter Conference, held in Chicago, that President Trump only wants one kind of Muslims in the United States – those who “bow down and give up their religion.” He said that Islam is like a machine that will “grind every other idea existing,” that the “wheel of Islam is running,” and that Islam will eventually prevail.

Khalid Nijmeh: “Lately, we heard that President Trump was talking about Muslims here in the States, and he wanted one certain type of Islam – the ones who only give up their religion.

“This is what is allowed to be living in this country. The ones who bow down and give up their religion. Those are the Muslims who are welcome and are allowed to be living here. But the ones who stand for their religion, for Islam, and for what they believe are not welcome.

“Islam is like a machine that will grind every other idea existing and will continue turning, and this is the point. The wheel of Islam is running. With you or without you, it is running. It’s all about you, if you turn with this wheel or you don’t. Islam is running, Allah makes it running, this machine is running and grinding every other ideal in the world.   2. Count me in respecting the only Muslims that I want in America are the ones who cease being Muslim.

    No way in Hell the Islamic world could have established America. It took a combination of the best of the Judeo-Christian tradition, the classical world of Greece and Rome and what England spawned respecting liberty from the Middle Ages onwards to create the single greatest polity of all time.

    Islam had NOTHING to do with the establishment of America, lies to the contrary by people like Obama and the doofus Biden notwithstanding. Indeed, to the extent that Islam would have been involved in the founding and development of America it would have, to that very extent, been a polity replete with an absence of freedom, true equality under the law and the utter incapacity to apologize for past wrongdoings like slavery and the oppression of women, respecting both of which the Islamic world at least de facto if not de jure still engages in.

    Oh yeah, no doubt, the best Muslims are ex-Muslims. Just like the best Leftists (a foolish ally of Islam in our era) are ex-Leftists.

    • Precisely. I recall that in my immigration application in 1992 when I first came here, one of the questions was whether I was a communist. There needs to be a similar question on the form, asking if someone is a muslim. Then have branched question if the answer is yes, such as:

      ⮞ Do you support shariah/islamic law becoming the law of the land in the US?
      ⮞ Do you consider “islamophobia” a real thing?
      ⮞ Do you support islamic concepts, such as an endless war against infidels?
      ⮞ Do you agree to obey laws against polygamy, female genital mutilation, and that in the event of a conflict of laws b/w the US constitution and islamic law, that US law prevails?
      ⮞ Do you agree to violate qur’anic injunctions to the contrary, and look at all your fellow citizens as equals?

      The wrong answer to any of the above questions would result in a denial. Also, as Robert pointed out, it’s not that muslims are expected to answer all questions honestly, but if they are found out later to violate something they agreed to in the application questionnaire, that would automatically render their visa null & void, and subject them to instant deportation under Article 2 (not Article 3) courts

      • Polygamy should be against the law in America punishable by deportation or life imprisonment. We are a Christian country and polygamy is antithetical to Christianity and women’s rights. Muslims are using wombs to conquer Europe and making major inroads into America. They are not shy about their plans! Osama bin Laden was the 57th child! We cannot sit here and let the Muslim population explode geometrically.

        Trump has banned immigration from Afghanistan, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Burkina Faso, Laos, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone, and South Sudan among others. A great start!

        Do you believe someone who leaves the Islamic faith should be killed?
        Do you believe that anyone who insults the prophet Muhammad or the Islamic religion should be killed?
        Do you believe it is OK to beat your wife if she disagrees with you?
        Do you believe that your wife is your property, and your daughters are your property?
        Do you believe that your daughter can be married at the age of nine to someone which you choose or who pays money to you whether she likes it or not?

    The first and obvious question here is, what does Fateh mean by “white supremacist.” But before we get to that, let’s be clear, if somebody wants to don full Nazi regalia and walk up and down the sidewalk in Little Mogadishu, Minnesota while doing the John Cleese funny Hitler walk, they can.
    On Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis, pro-Trump counter protesters were physically assaulted as they tried to make their voices heard. One man was threatened with violence if he didn’t take off his American flag sweatshirt, in frigid temperatures.

    In America.

    This is abject madness, bordering on total chaos, and what is Fateh’s response? To pour fuel on the fire by promising similar treatment to any pro-ICE person who dare enter his Somali-run no-go zone.

    • The latest Nick Shirley Minnesota video shows a muslim shrieking that Shirley cannot report their fraud because it leads Americans to oppose the presence of islam in the US. Well, yes it does. I approve.

      I don’t think DT said what this muslim claims, but if he did, he’s farther along in the study of islam than I had thought, which makes me happy.

      I also saw the aggression in that church and I heard Omar’s egregious comments, as well.

        If Trump said it perhaps others in the admin with either agree or ask him ‘why’ he opposes them and learn something. If he didn’t say it maybe he should.

  7. It’s rather interesting that this Muslim who is a scholar on ,when he spoke about other ideas in the world that are not in accord with Islam , he ended his speech by declaring that “Eventually Islam will prevail.”

    His statement was a claim and nothing more. The fact is that anybody can make a claim about anything or anyone, but proving that claim to be valid and true is entirely a different thing.

  8. When that Muslim scholar said the “Islam is like a machine.” In a very real sense Islam is very much like a “machine,” but not exactly as he meant in his stated that assertion . For Islam is a death cult machine ,. in other words , a death machine, or a death inflecting machine .

    This above statement is upheld in the Qur ‘an, As for example, Surah 2:1214:89. 5:33. 9;5,23 . 47:4.

  10. I know I’ve not been in the mood of being defensive of the president. However, in this case, I will be fair to him. In mid January, the government announced a suspension of immigrant visa processing from some 75 countries. Now the reason for that is to pressurize those countries to improve security cooperation, but I’m glad that a number of muslim countries do fall into it, including countries I have long called for banning

    I’m marking in bold all the muslim/islamic countries out of the 75. The entire list is below:

    I marked Iran in italics, given that the population there really is anti-islamic, but they’re trapped by an islamic regime, who Trump can’t bring himself to bomb. Of the others, some surprised me, like Thailand and Uruguay, but I think those countries might do a better job that gets them off the list. I noticed some of the -stans, which was interesting in that Turkmenistan, the most isolated of those countries, was not on the list. Most of the others are either under communist regimes (like Nepal, Colombia,….) or muslim/islamic regimes

    I am glad that Pakistan and Bangladesh are finally both on the list. The former did a good job conning us during the 00s, and the one smart thing Barack Obama did was authorize the Osama raid w/o telling Islamabad. I do wish some of the Gulf countries were there, particularly Qatar, Kuwait, as well as Turkey. But yeah, I’m pretty happy w/ this recent move, so I won’t fully endorse Robert’s view above that Trump isn’t doing much here. I disagree w/ Trump’s stances on Turkey, Qatar and Iran, but I’m happy to be nuanced about it, and give him credit when credit is due

  11. While our secular, man-made constitution, as amended, guarantees the right to BELIEVE whatever religious hooha one wants–or not–it does not greenlight religious PRACTICES that violate criminal law.

    To prevent the incorporation of the *divine* laws of one group or another into that document, support and defend it like your life depends on it.

  13. The only non muslims that are allowed to live according to Islam are the Jews and the Christians who submit themselves to muslims in humiliating way AND pay the jizyah. (9:29)

    If you think muslims do not want to implement the verse, a muslim once said in an internet forum that the muslims in Indonesia had made a great sacrifice by allowing non muslim live in Indonesia and the non muslims should be grateful because they were allowed to live.

  14. That is true…that “machine” is a killing machine to spread Islam. Conservatives are so stupid when they make a distinction between Muslims vs. Islamists or Islam vs. Islamism. Leaving Islam (apostasy) would be best for any Muslims in the U.S. but you never can really know for sure unless they stop with the Sharia Law and stop going to the Mosque. “Islamism” should be considered as true Islam…both authoritarian political and authoritarian theocratic…a complete supremacist cutural way of life not much different from Nazism, KKK, Communism.

  15. Well, if Trump didn’t say it, he should have. All Muslims need to be sent back to their roots. They cannot assimilate as Americans unless they deny Islam and change their Arabic names to English. But even.if they do that and say they no l9nger follow that moon god, you can’t trust them. Bearing false witness is a part of their upbringing/heritage. It’s sad to say but necessary to do, deport ALL Muslims from America. They are ouR #1 ENEMY!

  16. I hope this “scholar” keeps talking about such issues. I hope he keeps reminding people of what Islam teaches. It makes it much easier to point out that Islam is a form of Government that wishes to rule over believers and nonbeliever alike.

    Like Communism, Islam is a totalitarian form of Rule. Neither one cares if you believe in its ideas. Both will use raw power to bring you in line – up to and including, killing you.

    They both want to make you an offer you can’t refuse.

    Ban Islam from our Western countries, like we ban Communism.

    Islam is another incompatible, totalitarian, competing form of Government.
    The Quran, Hadith and Sunna all contain Governing Ideas that can be activated by those wishing to implement the Rule of Islam whenever they choose.
    While some Muslims ignore the Government parts of Islam,
    like Mr. Nijmeh says the Rule of Islam is there. . . waiting. Waiting for those who will take it seriously.
    The machine is always running.
    That machine of Islam cannot be managed by law enforcement – it can only be stopped at our borders.
