A No-Go Zone in Minneapolis?

Omar Fateh is a Somali migrant, a former candidate for mayor of Minneapolis, and a prominent member of the Somali community, second only to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. In a chilling series of social media posts on Saturday night, Minnesota state senator and former Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh pledged to make the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of his city a “no-go zone for white supremacists.”

“No-go zone” is a term popularized in Europe that refers to Muslim-majority neighborhoods where it is not safe for White people to go.

The X posts began with Fateh and two other men standing before the iconic Cedar Riverside towers with the message, “Cedar Strong. White Supremacists aren’t welcome here. We protect our own.”

A bit shocked by the sentiment, I quote-posted the senator to remind him Americans can enter any neighborhood they want to, writing, “You don’t decide who is and isn’t welcome anywhere. We don’t allow ‘no-go zones.’”

To this, Fateh doubled down, responding, “This is a No-Go zone for white supremacists,” adding an angry emoji for emphasis.

The first and obvious question here is, what does Fateh mean by “white supremacist.” But before we get to that, let’s be clear, if somebody wants to don full Nazi regalia and walk up and down the sidewalk in Little Mogadishu, Minnesota, while doing the John Cleese funny Hitler walk, they can.

This is a free country and one of our most cherished freedoms is expression. It is long established not just legally, but socially in America, that as abhorrent as Nazis are, they still have rights.

But let’s not be naive. Omar Fateh is not talking about the Ku Klux Klan or even the Proud Boys here. He is almost certainly talking about anyone who supports President Donald Trump and the operations of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the Twin Cities….

This is just further evidence that leadership of the Somali community in Minnesota has no interest in assimilation. They want a semi-autonomous area that they control. Not only is that not how America works, it also harms the futures of those they represent.

But why should these Somali Muslims want to assimilate? As Muslims, they know from the Qur’an that they are the “best of peoples” (3:110) while the non-Muslims with whom they are expected to integrate are the “most vile of created beings” (98:6). Such assimilation makes no sense.

So far, these “No-Go neighborhoods” where non-Muslims are made distinctly unwelcome, and have even been the subjects of assaults, are found only in Europe, in such places as Seine St.-Denis in Paris, and Sparkhill in Birmingham, where even firemen and policemen hesitate to enter without security guards. But if Omar Fateh has his way, the Minneapolis neighborhood of Cedar Riverside will be the very first No-Go neighborhood in the United States. Does anyone in Washington care?

  1. If there are enough patriots left in Minn. to protest this Islamic trap, the program will fail. If enough object to this on the national level, Congress will be forced to care.

  3. From the stock photo it should be a no cousins marry zone he is obviously a product of many generations of inbreeding. Is he proclaiming the city a separate state or nation from the rest of America does he think “I am the captain now”?

  4. Muslim no go zones have formed in other nations. Muslim no go zones must never be allowed to form in the United States of America. This is because Muslim no go zones is an Islamic Jihad method of slowly but surely taking over and conquering a nation piece by piece as Muslim no go zones expand and multiply to eventual point that a nation is conquered by Islam and is governed by Muslims using Islamic Sharia Law.

    It is if Omar Fateh gets his way. I wonder what his definition of “white supremacist” is?

    Oh, and by the way–no joke–he’s been investigated for election fraud. What a surprise!

    In 2022, Fateh returned $11,000 in campaign donations linked to the nonprofit Feeding Our Future, which was federally investigated for a $250 million fraud scheme. Fateh had previously defended the organization, accusing state agencies of targeting immigrant-owned businesses, then reversed his stance after federal raids began. He later expressed frustration that “providers were lying” to him. Fateh was later criticized for having supported Feeding Our Future in 2021, before FBI raids uncovered their fraud.

    Also in 2022, Fateh faced a State Senate ethics investigation for failing to disclose $1,000 his campaign paid for advertisements to Somali TV Minnesota, a YouTube channel. A second complaint was related to the perjury conviction of Muse Mohamed, Fateh’s brother-in-law and a volunteer on his 2020 campaign; a federal jury convicted Muse in May of lying to a federal grand jury about his handling of three absentee ballots for Fateh’s campaign. Fateh was also ordered to attend campaign finance training.

    • His definition of “White Supremacist” is probably all people – regardless of color – who refuse to support pro-Somalian politicians

      • I would rather he believe I’m a ‘White (I am that) supremacist’ than be what he would approve.
        I do believe that being a law-abiding Christian is a *superior* way of living than that of being a law-breaking adherent of the slime of islam. A ‘superior’ way of treating others; a ‘superior’ view of Life and Freedom.

  11. A would just LOVE to see the Hell,s Angels Motorcycle Club ride through that neighborhood, even stop off in the middle of street and hang out for a while and then ride on after and hour sitting drinking and smoking.
    Do this at least every Friday for a while just to let these Somali morons know that they are in America and cant tell Americans what to do or where they can go whenever they wish.
    If these outsiders dont get a response then they will assume they have won and that American men are weak and afraid.

  12. I used to live in that neighborhood, on the 31st floor of one of the towers. I just never dreamed that such a thing could happen. No one did. There were foreign blacks living there, but they were all foreign students from West Africa attending the nearby University of Minnesota, and most of them went home after getting their degrees. It was generally a pleasant place to live with a movie theater close by and lots of restaurants, too. The only reason I moved out was because it was a little too expensive. Thankfully, I moved out of the entire state of Minnesota and have no intention of moving back, or even going back for a visit.

    Re: white supremacists. I recently learned that when a Somali was chosen as a housing official in the mayor’s office, an American black lamented that he would do nothing for them, but would only help Somalis. Heh. So maybe there will be blacks who count as white supremacists, too.

  13. There should never be a no go zone anywhere in America. An Islamic/muslim no go zone is the same as declaring a new nation within America. Our state and federal governments should arrest and prosecute anyone or group that is involved in this attempt at treason.

  14. The moselms want a “no go” zone? Give ’em what they want. Nothing in, nothing out. No power, no water, no food, No cops, no ambulances, no fire trucks.
    Any who wish to surrender can be shipped to somalia.
