However else history will judge him, President Donald Trump is easily the funniest president in U.S. history, and that is another thing about him that drives the angry, humorless left crazy. The scolds and harridans, the enraged and offended, the victims of all the various phobias that leftists have invented to guilt-trip people into thinking that there’s something wrong with them if they aren’t leftists, are proud above all things. They love their pride and celebrate it, devoting whole months on end to it, and as Thomas More once observed, “The devil is a proud spirit. He cannot endure to be mocked.” Trump mocks the left, and indeed, as the merry saint of King Henry VIII’s England observed, they cannot endure it.

Is “tariff” his fifth favorite word, or has it gone up? Actually, I don’t mind it being his favorite, even above things like “God” or “family” or “country”. He needn’t include them while listing his favorite words
