Leftists and Muslims generally know nothing about Christian teaching regarding Jesus Christ and care even less, but around this time of year, they often find it useful to invoke him, particularly as a prop to support their latest pet causes and buttress their propaganda. And so we have now been treated to the spectacle of a massive Times Square billboard from the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), informing us that “Jesus is a Palestinian.”

It simply won’t do, you see, for leftists or their Islamic allies to acknowledge Jesus as what he really was, a Jew, for if they did, their increasingly undeniable antisemitism would render him useless as a stick with which to beat Christians and patriots. If Jew-haters say Jesus was a Jew, they can hardly turn around and try to invoke his moral authority to justify their perspectives and proclivities. And so Jesus must become a Palestinian, one of the left’s favorite victim classes, and one leftists have loved with a special ardor ever since the Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023.

A billboard that popped up in Times Square proclaiming “Jesus is Palestinian” was slammed by onlookers as an inflammatory and divisive prop that does nothing more than “stir the pot” at Christmas.

The digital ad – funded by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) in an attempt to spark debate and protest during the bustling festive rush – drew swift backlash from holiday tourists after it appeared in the heart of Midtown last week.

“It’s quite a divisive message, if you’re pro-Palestinian, you’d find it OK,” Sam Kept, who is visiting the Big Apple from England, told The Post Wednesday night.

A disturbing billboard that popped up in Times Square proclaiming “Jesus is Palestinian” was slammed by onlooks as an inflammatory and divisive prop that does nothing more than “stir the pot” at Christmas.

“It’s probably not a good time in the world to have that up. It’s inflammatory.”

His wife chimed in, noting that the billboard – bearing the message “JESUS IS PALESTINIAN” in bold black lettering on a bright green background, with “MERRY CHRISTMAS” on the other side – could be considered “offensive” by some.

“It’s trying to stir the pot, isn’t it?” she said….

  1. No news here…Golda Meir also claimed to be a Palestinian…until 1948. Every Jew that lived in Eretz Israel until May1948 was a “Palestinian” as well.

    • Bexarkat, modern Israelis had indeed called themselves Palestinians before local Muslims appropriated the term in the mid-1960s.

      But the region was renamed Syria Palestina by the Romans in around 135 CE, in an effort to suppress Jews in Judea. But this was almost a century after Jesus’ earthly death–he never considered himself Palestinian, and neither did anyone else.

What is not stated here, but which I read on the news feed, is a part of the sign is used to publish words from the book of demon filth….supposedly about the birth of Jesus …The Son of God, which the billboard does not say… and since it’s from the book of satan’s filthy lies, what is written there is far from the Truth.

    Jesus was a Jew, not a pretend palestinian….His mother, Mary was also a Jew.

    Moreover, muzzies lie about Jesus, what happened to Him and what He will do upon His return

    This sign was put up, not to ‘fuel debate’ about Jesus, but to put the focus back on Gaza….and the muzzie said that.

    If they could somehow convince Christians that Jesus was not a Jew but a muzzie, they could hope to get Christians to see everything their way.

    Jesus was a Jew and His birth, ministry, and death were all prophesied in the Bible. And no group of demon worshippers can change any of those things. No matter the size of the billboard.

    • Tim, I believe the percentage is much higher. Based on things I have read, non-hamas…if there are such things in Gaza, held the hostages captive, made slaves, raped, starved and tortured them. Besides the ones who went into Israel on that day of muzzies mass-murdering, mass-raping and taking hostages, along with thousands of hamas terrorists.
      None stepped forward to help the victims, none.

    • Somehistory and James, I just thought an accurate statement which would go the loving and gentle Jesus is the complete opposite of the evil Palestinians. Merry Christmas to you James and somehistory. I went to one of my sister’s places. It was a good day not too hot. By the way, James, do you know anyone who writes songs. A while back, too late for 2025 I found out about songwriting competitions. There are lots of them. I am putting 11 songs in next year’s Australian songwriters association contest. Someone might a song they like and record. I think they get 1000s of entries. There is another international competition here in Australia called the vandaand young contest or vandayoung. Vanda and young were a songwriting team out here. First prize $50,000. They get 3500 songs entered from over 50 countries. So if you know anyone who wants to try and get songs out it might be worth a shot.

        • On the songwriting competitions, somehistory, the biggest one is an American one, international songwriting contest, is. On the vanda and young global contest, you can listen to last year’s winning song it is there on YouTube. Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo give you love. Jessica Mauboy is an Australian singer. The winning songwriter was Shannon busch as Australian. I don’t think it is extraordinary. The one I’m going has a lot of categories and gives a lot of prizes. I am only interested in getting my songs heard by people in music who might record a song or two. There seem to be so many people writing song. My musician friend says every second person is writing songs.

        What type of music do you write, i.e., what genre of music (e.g., pop, rock, blues, country, folk) as some of these genres have their own “internal” contests.

        I have actually written songs myself in the folk / country / country rock / southern blues categories. I’m also currently exploring writing some Christian music.

        • Good on you, James. The contest that I am entering my songs in is run by the Australian songwriters association and has ten categories. I write pretty quiet, gently songs, I would say pop, maybe a bit country. For the contest, I have 8 ballads, 2 gospel songs and one in the open category which doesn’t fit the categories. I am glad to give it a go although they get so many songs that judging seem to last from end of May til December. I like lots of different styles of music and songs. Hope you are going well.

    Palestine was never really be country or even a province. It was only a place holder for a British Mandate.

    Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew; Christians only came to be after Jesus was exterminated.

    In the eyes of the Christian world, the Jews committed an unforgivablevsin: They betrayed Jesus (A Jew) to the Romans (Not Jews). As such, they have paid for this for nearly 2000 years.

    Jesus was executed in 33 A. D. For heresy. Past that, the rest is conjecture.

    Live with it.

      • JS–with all respect–AD does not mean “after death”. It means “Anno Domini”, or year of our lord in Latin, and dates (roughly) from the birth of Jesus.

      • A.D. means Anno Domino–year of our Lord (Jesus Christ). The numbering came from one Dionysius Exiguus, who decided it would be better to number the years after the birth of Christ rather than from the founding of Rome. He miscalculated, by the way.

  10. Christians are under attack in every Muslim country and non country. Palestinian areas are not underrepresented in waging a war on Christians. Bethlehem, always a predominantly Christian city for centuries became a minority Christian city once Arafat and his thugs gained control due to the Oslo Accords which turned over many areas to Palestinian control. Now Bethlehem is about 12% Christian instead of the 80% Christian it was under Israeli control.

    Muslims used fake deeds and titles to many plots of land and Oslo allowed Palestinian Authority courts who had better title, the long time Christian owner or the fake deeded Muslim. Usually the Muslim won and the Christians were thrown off their land they held for hundreds of years.

    Also many Christian families had to flee their long held homes due to a campaign of Muslims threatening force unless the Christian family allowed their daughter to marry a Muslim man who often would march on the family’s home with a gang and demand the father turn over his daughter. Christian girls were favored over Muslim girls by Muslim men who would them force the girl to convert. In one story I read the father shot the Muslim demanding his daughter and then the entire family had to flee Gaza for either a European country or America.

    Muslims allow Christian observance of Christmas for the propaganda effect in International media especially Western media – “See how respectful Hamas and others are to Christians who wish to celebrate their religious holidays”. All a lie.

    Everything Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups as well as the PA under Abbas say about how evil Israel is, or the made up story of a “Palestine” or how “benevolent” they are to Christians, is a big lie.

  15. Roman emperors corrected the Holy Scriptures, and therefore the question is what was written in the original. Given that Iraq, Syria, and Palestine were invented by colonialists like presidents and ministers France and Britain. Israel could be there or it could be here, given the fact that the map has been changed this way and that over the past millennia. Jesus could have been born here or there, because Bethlehem is the name of several towns and villages. What is Palestine? An invention of the British and French? Without a doubt, the Roman emperor and his scholars could have written the entire holy book themselves. Who invented Islam and where did Shiism and Sunnism come from? The question of where this came from, because I think it’s all a bunch of nonsense put into books to continue to dumb down and enslave people.

    • The canon (what is scripture) was determined authoritatively in the early Church by the Pope and Catholic bishops in Church councils. That is a matter of historical fact. Early Catholics knew where Jesus was born in Bethlehem and where Bethlehem was and is.

      And there were only two cities named Bethlehem, and they were well known to the Jews. Otherwise, Joseph, Mary and all of the others of the family line of David would not have known to which city they should go to register for the census.

      Furthermore, for one example which shows that the Romans did not write the Bible. the Book of Daniel has been verified for its age….long before Rome… and even Alexandar the Great, who read Daniel’s words, responded with appreciation for the prophecy about himself.

    • Jesus mother (Mary )was from the Jewish house of David family. He was as he was growing up and preaching to other Jews call him rabbi. His mother was going back to the area of her own birth for a census count called by the ruling government not an immigrate legal or illegal. The reason there was no “room in the inn” was not that they where not welcome there it was simple because the city was very over crowded by the governing census law of everyone returning to the place of their birth. These Moslems might as well claim Jesus was a space alien with the tinfoil hat wearing logic they bring to the table. Islam was created cook up over 800 years after the start of Christianity over thousands of years after the start of Judaism .       • Indeed when they travelled from Judaea to Egypt they simply moved from one part of the Roman Empire to another!! And people totally forget that at the time of Jesus’ birth there was a HUGE and very ancient and established Jewish diaspora community in Alexandria in Egypt (this was the same community that had created the Septuagint, the Greek translation/ paraphrase of large portions of the Hebrew scriptures). Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus – Yosef, Miriam and Yehoshuah – would have vanished into the community (which numbered many hundreds of thousands) like three little straws vanishing into a haystack.. among people of the same ethnicity and identical religion.

  20. Palestinians are ethnically, and proudly, Arab. Some of them take pride in being able to trace their ancestry all the way back to the Muslim “liberation”, as Muslims call it, of the region. (That is, the conquest and occupation of the region by Muslim armies in 637 A.D.)

    Jesus was a Jew. He lived in the country of the Jews 600 years before the “liberation” (as we will call it for comic effect) of 637 A.D. The region was not called Palestine until the Romans put down the Bar Kochba uprising in 136 A.D. and while there would have been some Arabs there in Jesus’ time, they were a small minority, and the country was that of the Jews. That’s why the Romans called it “Judea” then.

    I hope this is clear enough, but it probably isn’t.

    • Just one correction: no Arab was ever described as “Palestinian” before the 1960s. The term “Palestinian” b/w 1920 to 1948 referred exclusively to Jews: not even to Arabs who lived in the area. Historically, there never was a “Palestine” during muslim rule, either Arab or Turkish. During Arab rule, that area was a part of Syria, and always governed from Damascus

      The people we know as “Palestinians” could just as easily be Jordanians or Syrians. Or on the Gaza side, even Egyptians

  23. Judaism: Founded by Abraham in the 6th Century B.C., so 2,626 years old,
    600 years before Christianity and 1,210 years before Islam

    Christianity: Founded in the 1st Century A.D. by a Jew called Jesus, so 2,026 years old.
    580 years before Islam.

    Islam: Founded in the 610 A.D. by Mohammed, so 1,416 year old.

    The origin stories of both the Jews and Christians are much older and have much deeper histories than Islam. Islam clearly borrowed its stories from both of its predecessors, right down to the Angel Gabriel!

    In 1964 Yasser Arafat even borrowed the term for a Jew from Palestine, a “Palestinian”, to use for the people in his fake “liberation front”. “Liberation” was used since that’s what was fashionable with the Western Left at that time. It’s not “terrorism” it’s “liberation”!

    The Left and Islam both love manipulating history because as George Orwell warned in his novel
    “1984”, “Who controls the Past controls the Future: Who controls the Present controls the Past.”

    With this NYC billboard Islam is trying to control the Past because they want to control the Future.
    We must not let them get ahold of the Present. The only way I can see to do that is to keep Islam
    out at our Borders by the following justification:

    Islam preaches, and uses Force, toward Muslims and nonMuslims alike. Islam’s goal is to Govern.
    Therefore, Islam is a Government. Governments are defined by the use of Force.

    Religions are not conferred the use of Force by the U.S. Constitution or Bill of Rights.

    Only U.S. Citizens and the U.S. military and paramilitary have the use of Force, by U.S. Law.

    Keep the Government, that is Islam, with its use of Force, out of Western countries, at their Borders.

    If a Muslim applies for entry, of any kind, into the U.S. the price of entry would be for him to leave his Islam back in the country he came from. How would we know he was telling the truth?
    Because we wouldn’t rely on his telling the truth. We would rely on the Government, that is Islam, being banned in the U.S. Therefore, no mosques, Islamic Centers, Islamic Schools, Islamic Cities, etc. No place to go to join the Government of Islam ,with its use of Force, and its Worldwide Caliphate dreams of Domination by Force.

  24. A few quick thoughts:

    1) even if Jews had actually tried and crucified Jesus Christ (which they didn’t), wasn’t his execution preordained by God, resulting in his resurrection and stature as the savior of humankind? There should never be any need to keep pointing out that his execution was not committed by Jews, since even the Romans who did it were acting in accord with God’s plan.

    2) it’s *never* been just Hamas. Palestinians were murdering swine LONG before the ascent of Hamas, who are only one of many groups of murderers supported by the majority (if not all) Palestinians.

    • Yes, all of what Jesus did and what He taught and what happened to Him, was prophesied to happen.
      Not that God wanted His Son to suffer and die, but Knew it would happen and foretold it, allowed it to happen to save the lives of millions who put faith in Him.
