The Italian journalist Giulio Meotti offers his thoughts on the Bondi Beach massacre, and the role of the Australian government in making such things possible, here: “The West surrendered to barbarians and now war is in the streets,” by Giulio Meotti, Israel National News, December 16, 2025:
Bondi Beach. Sand. Blue sky. Happy bodies. An indifferent sea. Jews lighting candles.
Not “occupied” territory.
Not IDF soldiers.
Not “settlers”.
Jews. A celebration. The blood on the sand is the same color as in Tel Aviv.
Distance no longer exists. The war has left the desert. It descends onto beaches, into schools, into the quiet streets of the West.
As The Spectator put it, it was “the night Australia died”.
One of the survivors of the attack said that four police officers remained “immobilized” during the incident.
Twenty minutes of gunfire: “For 20 minutes. They were shooting, shooting. They changed magazines. And kept shooting. For 20 minutes there were four police officers there. No one returned fire. Nothing. As if they were frozen.”
What a display, of heroism by civilians, and cowardice by the police. The four policemen who remained immobile for twenty minutes while the shooting continued, fearful of being killed, while three civilians tried to stop the killers — an elderly Jewish couple, Boris and Sofia Gurman, who wrested a gun away from one of the attackers before being shot dead by him, using another gun, and a Muslim originally from Syria, Ahmed al-Ahmed, who managed to wrest another gun away from another of the attackers. The police need to investigate themselves: why did the four officers on duty that day do nothing during twenty minutes of gunfire?
A country paralyzed by political correctness and fear.
The Mossad had warned Australia in recent days. But nothing.
Because, as Ayaan Hirsi Ali writes in The Free Press, when you allow hundreds of thousands of people to march shouting “Intifada” and “gas the Jews,” this is the result.
We opened the doors to those who despise us; we pay their welfare, give them housing, schools, healthcare, and in return we receive-at best-prayers that curse Israel-the only true ally we have in that sea of terrifying theocracies-and we infidels.
In Sydney city center there have been massive muslim prayers.
This is not devotion; it is an appropriation of public space that turns the Western square into a waqf, a theocratic enclave on common-law soil. It is muscular geopolitics, an echo of imported intifada. While the faithful prostrate themselves, traffic stops, tourists take selfies and native Australians mutter among themselves. It is creeping Islamization.
This madness is only the appetizer before the entree of a suburban caliphate and Sydney will become Sidnei al-Islam.
Why do they tolerate it? Reuters writes it-without my emphasis: the Labor government relies on immigrant votes….
It’s not just the increasing numbers of Muslim voters that explain Labor’s pusillanimity. Leftists in Australia as everywhere else have accepted a narrative in which Israel has been depicted as a colonial-settler apartheid genocidal state, while Hamas, instead of being denounced as a group of terrorist murderers, for too many people in the West represents the justifiable “resistance” to such a state.
The West will be saved when it decides that certain Islamic peoples who, beyond a certain threshold-say 70 percent-want sharia in the West, do not have the right to enter our countries to bring chaos, misery, fanaticism, and terrorism (from countries like Afghanistan, Somalia, “Palestine”, Malesya, Pakistan, Syria…).
The two Bondi Beach terrorists, originally from Pakistan, would never have been able to kill all those innocents were this the rule. Would injustices be committed? Certainly-but the alternative is the end of the West.
After all, they come from a country that, as the actor playing CIA chief on “Homeland” put it, “is not even a country, it’s a f*** acronym.” And the West has the right to say that its residents do not deserve our tolerance.
Otherwise, the West itself will end up becoming an acronym.
Meotti is arguing for banning migrants from a long list of Muslim countries. This is what all sensible people in the West should want. But will the political and media elites that have brought our countries to such a pretty pass, by their dreamy belief that Islam is a “religion of peace” — see the late Pope Francis, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama — now recognize what they have done, in allowing so many Muslims to enter our countries, out of ignorance or out of fear of being labelled “racists” and “Islamophobes”? And will they now gird their loins and do what must be done, if the West is to survive: halt all immigration from Muslim lands, deport illegal Muslim migrants and those who, though legal, have been convicted of crimes, and provide access to welfare benefits only to those migrants who have lived in the country for at least five years, been gainfully employed, and have not heretofore claimed any of those benefits?

I hope a lot of people read your comment; we have many evil people in our government,. yes it is the government behaving insanely. It seems to get worse and worse, they have even said to get use to it., so they must want us killed, what their reasoning is I cannot figure out. My theory is the Nazi’s never died out and it is revenge time for them and our government is going along with their evil plans. First they wanted the Jews killed, now they want the old people to die plus their best friends are Muslims who just loves to kill..

I blame the left for, it would seem, paralyzing western police officers (and I might add, George Floyd) who now hesitate when the need for lethal force should be used. True, cowardice might be involved here but I’m not sure.

A huge amount of the worlds violence comes from Islam and Islamic leaders. It appears that if you funnel enough money to our politicians you can buy anything. It makes absolutely no sense for non muslim/’ islamic countries to open their borders to Islam and the terrorism that comes with it.
