There are more people dead in 1 month of fighting in El-Fasher, a city in Sudan, than the fake Hamas casualty figures in Gaza.
So what’s different in the coverage?
1. The media reports on it, but doesn’t make it the lead, doesn’t push the story constantly and treats it as something happening ‘over there’ the way it does most foreign wars. This is very different than the coverage of Israel where even the most minor confrontation, like clashes between Jewish farmers and Muslim/leftist activists in which no one is hurt, somehow become major stories.
2. The reporting doesn’t directly clarify the players in a way that’s easily understandable. That’s opposed to the media’s constant denunciations of Israel. Who is the RSF? Most people don’t know or care. Tell them that the RSF is really an Arab Islamic militia known as the ‘Janjaweed’ and that it’s backed by Muslim countries and they might have more clarity. Which is why the media tends to bury that part. Especially the Muslim racism.
3. Leftist activist groups haven’t taken up the cause, so there are no protests, little in the way of social media posts, little conversation. Whatever conversation there isn’t amplified by the media in the same vicious cycle that saw Gaza take over everything in 2024.
Neither Muslims nor the Left are especially interested in discussing the topic. Some genuine human rights activists care, but they’re not going to get any traction.
And that’s why real Islamic genocides get ignored, whether in Sudan or Nigeria, while any self-defense against Islam, such as by Israel, America or India, are falsely labeled as genocide by the actual Muslim genociders.
We know why this happens. And we can see it happening again. It’s not about the genocide, it’s about the propaganda.

I think that since Sudan is one of the signatories of the Abraham Accords and have, so far at least, done nothing to upset that arrangement, I think the Trump Administration may have chosen to be quiet
Another aspect: muslim on muslim violence is something we infidels should just stay clear off, and not bring John Dunne into it

I support Christians, many of whom migrated to the Nuba mountains in Sudan seeking safety. I send money to Persecution Project, there are others reaching out to evangelize, feed, and provide shelter with tarps and Bibles. I fear for their safety and security, how long can they go on, without being discovered? May God help them 🙏🏼.

This war is in Darfur, and both combatants are muslims. Also, being Christian alone isn’t adequate: South Sudan, which was separated from Sudan, is a failed state b’cos they just devolved into another civil war – neither combatant side muslim – after they got independence

Do you know if these atrocities in Sudan were committed against a certain religious group, say, against Christians? What was their “claimed” reason for the killing? Was it supposedly against apostate Muslims? Your article didn’t say. Thanks in advance.

How many people know anything about this? I’ve run into otherwise well educated people who assume that Gaza is the worst crisis in the world (and of course ignore Hamas).

“No Jews, No News” is true, but I think it is the specific of a more general dynamic.
The most powerful propaganda culture in the world is the U.S. and Western Left. If you want the U.S. and Western Left on your side your narrative has to match their worldview:
Oppressor Vs. Oppressed, colonizer Vs. colonized, Brown/Black Vs. White etc.
The anti-western academics have been laying this groundwork since the 1960’s.
Delete some facts and add some lies about the Jews and Israel and they can be
forced to fit into this erroneous oppressor narrative mold.
If you have Black on Black oppression it doesn’t supply the Anti-Westerners with the ingredient they most require.
Black on black, high-body-count violence, doesn’t contain the Anti-Western venom that the Anti-West Left craves. The Left uses that venom to cleanse themselves of the “sins” of the White, Colonial, Capitalist Oppressors.
This is the element that must be in the narrative. It’s “saves” them. It sets them apart from the other bad people. They will even join with the horrors of Hamas to get their fix.
Islam finds these idiots, and their flight from self-imposed, self-hating guilt, quite useful.
