Zohran Mamdani will become mayor of New York City in just a few weeks now, and he is planning to hit the ground running with an ambitious socialist program that promises to bankrupt the Big Apple while making it a good deal more dirty and dangerous than it already is. Really, how could anyone not love that? And now that he is safely mayor-elect, Mamdani is unveiling details of his program that ought to be causing an epidemic of buyer’s remorse among voters all over the city, but what can they do about that now? Maybe by 2029, if there is anything left of New York City by then, they can try to right the ship, but more likely Mamdani will coast to re-election. Socialists, after all, have ways of ensuring that.

TDS caused the vote to go to Mamdani, people are so stupid thinking this Muslim would do everything he ran on.
So to all New Yorkers that voted for him and those that chose not to vote: REAP WHAT YOU SOW, the total destruction of your city and the quick way Mamdani brings in sharia law upon all of you. Moral Panic Syndrome — a societal freakout where exaggerated fears of Trump-induced apocalypse justify censorship, surveillance, and the suspension of norms.
So Yes, It’s a Mental Illness It’s real. It’s pervasive. And worst of all, it’s socially rewarded. Victims of TDS aren’t shamed into treatment — they’re applauded, hired by MSNBC, offered book deals, and invited to academic panels. Their affliction is reinforced, institutionalized, and even monetized. But at its core, it remains what it is: a psychological breakdown masquerading as moral clarity.
So, let’s say it clearly: Trump Derangement Syndrome is not a joke. It’s not satire anymore. It’s a legitimate mental illness that has wrecked minds, families, journalism, institutions, and civic discourse. It has all the hallmarks of pathology — obsession, projection, emotional instability, rage displacement, and identity fusion. It destroys quality of life, ruptures empathy, and locks the sufferer in a closed-loop fantasy where every contradiction is rationalized to preserve the narrative. It’s not a disagreement. My hope for NYC lies in the differences of the two political systems, of the two countries, that contain NYC and London.
Great Britain went Socialist immediately after WW2 and does not have a written Constitution. It’s much easier to silence opposition to tyranny when you don’t have the First and Second Amendments.
It also makes a difference who is President of the U S and how much support American citizens, resisting Socialist Tyranny, would receive from the Federal and Judicial branches of the U S government.
The current wave to stop immigration from anti-American sources is another major difference.
I’m not saying it won’t be a battle – but there will be a fight, with institutional bulwarks London does not have. Currently the Executive branch is occupied by a President more likely to use those powerful weapons.
Perhaps the battle might inspire all of Europe to remember and reclaim their valuable and beautiful history and culture.

I don’t believe the “buyer’s remorse” excuse. The voters knew what Mamdani stood for and stands for from the very beginning of his campaign and yet still voted him to be next Mayor of NYC. Elections have consequences so the only thing I’m hoping at this point is after Mamdani turns NYC into just another socialist moslem third-world shithole they don’t come begging for a bailout at U.S. taxpayer expense. They get what the elected and what they elected will end up a horrendous mess in the end.

the muzzie promises to send social workers to disputes, arguments, domestic violence, etc. In a hospital this week across the country, a “social worker” was stabbed and then died in the hospital.
NYC residents can look at that terror, that violence, and cringe.

New York City is the perfect example of the diminishing returns of expansion and dependency.
As size grows the efficiency of all services declines as more people move to the city for the higher wages and wealth that can be obtained for the same effort. This has been described as a, “Bite Of The “Big Apple”. Add the “New Deal” welfare in the mid 1960s and the city dependents grow, the unions employ featherbedding, corruption creeps into city contracts, and the city government workforce grows exponentially. NYC has 72 agencies and 4% of the population works for the city. About 1.1 Million (14%) receive federal assistance, about 721,000 receive City welfare, and over 60% receive Medicaid health coverage.
This is a city hovering around bankruptcy without the funds to repair a declining infrastructure. The high city taxes are already a shortfall due to the non-productive citizens, corruption, and the rate of infrastructure deterioration.
And to this NYC will add a Marxist-socialist Mayor? There will be a new, “Escape From New York”, for capital and productive citizens. All of Mandani’s plans require more money from those leaving. If we think crime is high in NYC, we haven’t seen anything like what will happen when the big-box stores pull out.
NYC will learn about Maxism for certain, but will it ever recover?

NYC depends on the Stock market ,bond market trading ,insurance companies and other big financial institutions pay the lions share of the tax bill. That with the high end employees working at these companies and all the other spin off from them .Who pays the rent and fills those high-rises from down town to midtown? If they pull out taking the high end employees ,rent, taxes and spin off industry with them(who dines at high end restaurants, spend good money on over priced goods ,hires cooks, maids and bottle cleaners ,doormen ,ect) ,f you will have no tax base. You can set up computer line in any major city with a better work environment ,less taxes ,less regulation ,less crime ,lower housing cost .not run by a communist mayor who demonizes your way of life. Do you think these companies do not see there bottom line profit shrinking and their over head going thru the roof they will not run to greener pastures? Maybe thats the plan crash NYC and overseas people from places like Qatar can buy it up pennies on the dollar and make it a giant Moslem city ?

One thing Mamdani will do is give the media and talk shows something to talk about for years. I also see the islamic countries funneling a lot of money into New York City to build fabulous mosques and goat farms. I can also see the population on NY losing weight as Islam restricts the sale of bacon and pork products. Followed by the decrease in the cost of rent do to the exodus of pork lovers.
