Keir Starmer No Longer ‘Delighted’ That Abd El-Fattah Is Back in the UK

Prime Minister Keir Starmer initially said he was “delighted” when Alaa Abd el-Fattah returned to the UK from Egypt, where he had been in jail for more than a decade. But it appears that Starmer had not performed due diligence on Abd el-Fattah, and now that he says that he has discovered that in the past Abd el-Fattah posted on social media a call for all Zionists, white people, and the police to be killed, he is no longer “delighted.” But unlike the Conservatives, Starmer has refused to call for Abd el-Fattah to be stripped of his British citizenship and then deported to a Muslim country — surely not Egypt, but what about Iran, or Afghanistan? — willing to take him in.

More on Starmer, the Conservatives, and Abd el-Fattah can be found here. Even the Conservatives now say that they were unaware at that time of Abd el-Fattah’s murderous posts on social media. Robert Jenrick himself had been part of the previous Conservative government that had campaigned for Abd el-Fattah’s release, and at the time he raised no objection to that campaign. He, like Starmer, was insufficiently informed about Abd el-Fattah’s views, including his call for the killing of Zionists, whites, and the police. But unlike Starmer, he wants Abd el-Fattah stripped of his British citizenship and deported. Jenrick urged the government to start proceedings to revoke Alaa Abd el-Fattah’s British citizenship.

Abd el-Fattah himself now claims that his statements such as “I’m a violent person who advocated the killing of all Zionists, including civilians” have been “taken out of context.” What “context” would justify Abd el-Fatah’s calling for the murder of all Zionists? And why should his making that remark in a “private conversation” matter? In any case, he called for those murders, as well as those of white people and of the police, on social media posts — hardly a “private conversation.”

Here are a few of el-Fattah’s remarks on social media that have aroused such fury:

About Zionists he wrote that “we need to kill more of them.” In 2011, he wrote that the police “don’t have rights, we should just kill them all.” He also once described white people in the UK as “dogs and monkeys.”

In 2011, as riots raged in London riots, he wrote: “Go burn the city or downing street or hunt police u fools.” The following year, he wrote: “By the way I’m a racist, I don’t like white people so piss off.”

Need any more evidence of his hideousness be adduced?

Now that Abd el-Fattah’s posts on social media that call for killing Zionists, white people, and the police have been made known to all, and those who campaigned for his release from an Egyptian prison and his return to the UK stand abashed, surely this is the time to revoke his citizenship. He’s both an antisemite and an anti-white racist. In addition, he has called for the mass killing of the police, without explaining how he thinks, without the police, law and order could be maintained.

Starmer’s expression of “delight” at Abd el-Fattah’s return to the UK has made him even more unpopular than he had been; he is the least popular prime minister on record, less than 18 months after being elected. He could redeem himself, a bit, if he were now to issue a mea maxima culpa for having welcomed Abd el-Fattah back to Britain and, like the Conservative Robert Jenrick, to call for stripping him of his citizenship that had been granted only in 2021, and for deporting him to whatever Muslim country is willing to have him.

But Starmer won’t go that route. The Labour Party has just said that while it is appalled by Abd el-Fattah’s posts, it will not try to strip him of his citizenship. That decision, I am pleased to predict, could cost Starmer his job, and could even pave the way for the victory, in the next election, of Nigel Farage and his Reform Party.

  2. Rform UK are already on course to win the next election. Both the Conservatives (in name only now, they are woke liberals) and Labour (their religion is human rights and atheism)

    There is a fightback here against, marxism, atheism and Islamism. That is why Starmer is unpopular. He is an atheist human rights lawyer, that is his religion.

    Christianity is actualy on the rise, not the Church of England, which is seen as too woke, and is weak, but the Orthgodox versions.

    Nigel Farage is on course to be the next British PM.

    • Farage and Reform will not fight back against Islam while it has Muhhamed Zia Yusuf in a senior post and pipped to succeed Farage. Nor while it has Laila Cunningham nor leftie Labour and wet Tor defectors
      Nor while Reform has Muslim sponsors
      Nor while Farage says if we oppose Political Islam we will lose.
      Nor while Farage is “not concerned ” about demograpic change
      Nor while Farage flip flops on mass deportations and goes just for the easy give away nothings like illegals and foreign criminals.

      And while Reform are laughing at Starmer’s jokes about Christmas in Parliament. ” And when three wise men arrive from the East bearing gifts Reform will deport them” And that Goon Tice enters into the general laughter and derision while the muslim MP s behind him smirk.

      Yeah

      Reform will save Britain sure.

  3. One might think they wouldn’t need to *be aware* of his posts or his every statement before realizing he’s ‘no good, he’s no good, he’s no good, baby he’s no good’. Because: he is a devout muzzie.

    Why did they work to get him out of jail? Now, he’s free to go through with his hateful statements and see his enemies dead.

  4. Of course the case being made now is that Abd el-Fattah, as a British citizen, has a right to an opinion and a right to express that opinion, regardless of how unpalatable it may be.

    Which (I presume) raises the question of whether or not there is a boundary beyond which an opinion, particularly when expressed publicly, is afoul of the law. Calling for sectors of the populace to be killed kind of looks to me like it would qualify for that, but, I’m not a lawyer. I’m just a dinosaur who believes in common decency.

    • Good grief no, he’s *completely* the wrong color and religion to be prosecuted for hate speech, a privilege reserved exclusively for native Britons.

    • Actually, preaching murder is *not* protected speech, nor should it be.

      But as Michael notes, this does not necessarily mean that he will be called on it.

  5. Don’t get excited.
    Starmer and Labour cannot be embarrassed by anything.
    They are a bunch of bad faith actors in the guise of clowns.

    There is no limit to the depths they can sink to in their pursuit of destroying the native people of Britain.
    Labour have no shame. They are fully complicit in the downfall of the UK.

    And as to this “paving the way for Farage and Reform” Mr Fitzgerald?
    Well since Labour is despised and Conservatives hated unless a coalition of all the leftist and Islamist parties rise against them, Reform will win in the next election.
    Will that save us?
    No.
    Reform is the same old stuff – continuance of the Uni party that got Britain into the mess it is now in.
    Composed of renegade Tory and Labour dregs, some dim newcomers and Muslim deceivers.
    And led by the biggest deceiver of the lot. Farage – or “Mirage”. What you think you see is an illusion.
