Einat Wilf is, or rather was, a left-wing Israeli and peace activist who once thought the Palestinian Authority could be a “partner for peace,” that the Palestinians eventually would surely give up their dream of destroying the Jewish state, and that ultimately, compromise would be possible and assorted lions would lie down with lambs, in an Edward Hicks vision of what “Palestine” could become. Now she has awakened, like Abou Ben Adhem, from her “deep dream of peace,” mugged by the reality of the Hamas atrocities and the delight that so many Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims worldwide, have expressed at the spectacle of all those rapes, those tortures, those mutilations, those murders of 1,200 Israelis.
Having had her left-wing ideological blinkers removed, she has decided to enter the political fray to spread her indispensable message about the implacable hatred of the Palestinians for the Jews, and their hope to eventually destroy Israel and to replace it with a 23rd Arab state. She wants to destroy the Palestinian belief that someday they will be able to exercise the so-called “right of return” and flood Israel with millions of Palestinians, distant descendants of the real refugees, who now cannot number more than 20,000.
More on Einat Wilf can be found here: “Dr. Einat Wilf: ‘We lied to ourselves about the Palestinians,'” by Sherry Makover-Balikov, Jerusalem Post, December 13, 2025:
Dr. Einat Wilf, a former Labor MK who says she underwent a political awakening, explains in a recent interview with Maariv why she views Mahmoud Abbas as an adversary and why she is forming a new party, Oz, to advance a program that ties peace to Arab and Palestinian acceptance of Zionism.
Wilf says her focus is to confront the “right of return” and UNRWA’s role in perpetuating conflict, arguing that state services should prioritize those who serve the state.
Wilf frames her platform around three points: peace based on Arab and Palestinian acceptance of Zionism, state services for those who serve the state, and a shift from a diasporic mindset to sovereign governance.
Though Wilf has come a long way from her left-labor peacenik days, she still believes that eventually the Palestinians and Arabs will accept Israel’s existence. They never will. That doesn’t mean eternal war, because if Israel remains militarily much stronger than its enemies, deterrence — the same strategy that kept the peace during the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union — will keep the peace. What Einat Wilf leaves out of her calculations is Islam itself. Indeed, she doesn’t mention Islam at all.
‘After October 7, these issues are at the core’
About a year ago, Wilf was invited to a filmed interview about Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinians. The former Labor MK and left-wing figure, who experienced a political awakening, tried to explain why she sees Mahmoud Abbas as an enemy.
“I spoke about his commitment to the Palestinian ethos that believes in the right of return and fights against the existence of a Jewish state for the Jewish people,” she recalls. “It was a long interview, and when I finished, studio staff, from the lighting tech to the director, came up to me and said, this is what we want to vote for. Why is there no one in Israeli politics who represents your ideas?”
The Americans, alas, continue to trust Mahmoud Abbas, believing he is indeed a “moderate” with whom they, and the Israelis, can do business. Like Hamas, Abbas wants to see Israel destroyed, but differs with the terror group on tactics and timing. Hamas wants to use terrorism and to crush Israel quickly; Abbas wants to abjure terrorism — though he supports his Pay-For-Slay program that rewards past, and incentivizes future, terrorist acts — and instead to use diplomacy to force Israel back within the 1949 armistice lines, with a nine-mile-wide waist from Qalqilya to the sea, after which the Arabs may be able make another multi-front assault on the much-reduced Jewish state.
Were you surprised?
“No. After October 7, everywhere I went, I saw that the issues I have worked on for 20 years are now at the center. So I decided to bring them to the forefront, and at this stage, the only way to express them clearly, without diluting them with political considerations, is to establish a party and lead it.”
That is quite an ambition.
“For years, people asked me, who in Israel even shares your ideas? I always said, either it is five people who are my best friends, or it is 70% of the Israeli public. There is an old joke about a shoe company that wanted to know whether there is a market in Africa…”
What is your story?
“To advance peace based on Arab and Palestinian acceptance of Zionism, to ensure that state services reach those who serve the state, and to move from a diasporic mindset to sovereign conduct.”
Again, I wish Einat Wilf were focused more on Islam, for if she were, she might conclude that the Palestinians can never genuinely accept the Jewish state. No need, however, to despair: Israel will be able to keep the peace through strength.

She’s learned some things but still has not learned nearly enough. And what she has most not learned is that Islam is the root of the “problem.”

Unfortunately, there is a far left mentality still with many in Israel. Many US operatives work together on the goal of “peace” that will never be achieved with those whose long term goal is your destruction.
The west, including the US and Trump want a temporary goal of ceasefire that has so far allowed Hamas to grow and recruit and rearm.
Delusions promoted by Qatar and Saudi and all Islam. Stall and deceive.
Bondi Beach is coming to all of slow awakening western countries.

Just read a *headline*….that is misleading. “Columbia professor Mahmood Mamdani, father of NYC mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, criticizes university over antisemitism and protests”
I thought, for a brief nano-second that I would be shocked. But, then, the first paragraphs.
“Mahmood Mamdani, a longtime Columbia University professor and father of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, sharply criticized the school’s leadership and its creation of a task force to address allegations of antisemitism in a recent interview with progressive writer Peter Beinart
Students who hold pro-Palestinian views are “terrified” and “terrorized,” Mamdani said in a Zoom call for Beinart’s Substack on Friday. “The smallest move they make, they are targeted, they are expelled, they are suspended and they are warned. Which means we have less and less of an idea of what they think and how they might respond to their situation.” Beinart is editor-at-large of Jewish Currents, which co-hosted the webinar.”
Oh, yes, of course….those yelling and rioting and speaking for hamas are “terrified and terrorized.”
That is out of the backward dictionary muzzles use to get what they want. If anyone makes a move to stop the terrorism, rape, murder and takeover, that one is a terrorist and a bigot, racist, hater, phobic of the worst kind. Boo hoo.

Dear Dr Wilf
You lied to yourselves about the Palestinians, and now, you’re lying to yourselves about islam
When will you stop lying? Just b’cos you’re lying to yourselves doesn’t make it a virtue

Supposedly she has awakened and if so that is good because she never stood a chance against the muslims. It doesn’t matter what she was thinking because thinking requires thinking and she may not be there yet.

Islam and its teachings of hate and violence are the problem. Young boys and men are brainwashed into this hate and violence in the MOSQUE’s around the world. A mosque in your community is nothing more than a center for teaching hate and terrorism against all non-islamic followers. Islam has been and is a religion of hate and violence for over 1400 years, it’s not changing because it crossed borders.

Ms. Wilf, Congratulations on your journey. If you ever have any residual difficulty staying on track with Islam may I suggest you substitute the word “Nazi” for “Muslim”.
I am not being sarcastic or flippant.
The Nazis had a book titled “Mein Kampf” along with a 25 Point Program. One main goal of the Nazis was the extermination of the Jews.
Like the Nazis, Islam has a book, laws and programs and also has a goal of exterminating the Jews, along with the rest of us unbelievers.
Unlike the Nazis, Islam is much more forthcoming about its goals and its “holy” books contain much more detailed instructions. Islam wants to display what the Nazis wanted to hide.
Keep this reality at the front of your mind, horrifying as it is, because acknowledging reality is the only thing that will save Israel.
Israel cannot afford to be mistaken about this and neither can the Western world.
I wish you, and Israel, all the best. May Western Civilization join with Israel, Poland and Hungary in coming to grips with Islam’s 1400 year old, declared war on The West.
