Police are investigating the report of a drive-by shooting with an estimated 20 rounds fired that was aimed at a Redlands home decorated for Hanukkah, followed by an obscenity shouted from a car.
The resident posted an account of what happened the evening of Friday Dec. 12 on social media, along with a surveillance video. Police later said the weapon used was likely an airsoft gun, as officers found no shell casings around the house….
“While we are relieved that no injuries occurred, it is important to reaffirm our support of our community members, no matter their faith,” Mayor Mario Saucedo said in a statement. “Violence and hatred have no place in Redlands.”
The episode occurred on the 1300 block of Magnolia Avenue, police said.
Jonpaul Sione Yohanan Cohen wrote on Instagram, “My family and (I) were attacked by an antisemitic shooter tonight …” “The group … accosted me publicly 3 minutes before the shooting by screaming “free Palestine *n-word*.”
A few moments later, he wrote, “Our security camera caught sight of the shooter discharging at least 20 rounds from a yet unidentified projectile weapon at my family’s house and Chanukah decorations.”
An obsenity was then shouted from the car as it drove off, he said….

If there is a muslim who has no intention of doing any damage and just wants to be a law abiding citizen/immigrant here, he’d say so in any conversation. If there is a muslim who has every intention of doing damage, waging jihad and other subversive activities, he’d say exactly what the previous guy said. So how does one distinguish b/w the 2?

If the video had sound, it would be easy to tell whether it was air soft or lead. In addition, air-soft guns are specially marked, so if anyone could see the barrel, it would be easy to tell. The people in the car could also have been shooting blanks.
