Sankrant Sanu is right. Bernie Sanders is invoking the Muslim hero, as many are doing, in order to refute the idea that this is a problem with Islam itself. Yet Islam teaches what it teaches. Ahmed al-Ahmed’s actions doesn’t change those teachings. Naveed Akram was acting in accord with Islamic theology and law, and with how jihad has been understood throughout history.

Bernie and Sharpton both seem to profit by showing up after high-profile crimes for a photo-op then recede back to waiting for a speaking opportunity.

    Apparently, in a long profitable career, Bernie has originated three laws, mostly involving the renaming of Vermont post offices. Even his “stand together” was borrowed from Ben Franklin’s, “We must all hang together or we will all hang separately…”, however, Franklin didn’t advocate for a British State.

  11. Many other citizens besides Ahmed intervened because the police were too late and afraid. There’s a video of another man restraining the perpetrator, and several eyewitnesses have reported that several people heroically helped others. This isn’t highlighted in the man’s video; it’s all about Ahmed being used as evidence to show how “peaceful” Islam is. And you can shove the word Islamophobia up your ass; people are rightly afraid of this hateful and violent religion of Satan. So done with this left-wing rhetoric to downplay the danger of Islam. Incidentally, Bernie forgets to mention the hatred against Christians; 380 million are being persecuted worldwide.
