Washington Wants Israel to Let 200 Hamas Members Now Trapped in Tunnels to Go Free

The Americans are pressuring Israel to let the approximately 200 Hamas members now trapped in tunnels under Rafah, on the east side of the Yellow Line, to go free, as long as they surrender their weapons. This is madness. Those Hamas combatants had plenty of time to move to the part of Gaza where Hamas rules, but chose not to, for one reason: they were planning to hide in those tunnels and then emerge to fire on unsuspecting IDF soldiers. Instead, the IDF managed to destroy more of those tunnels, and many of the numerous shafts into and out of them, so that Hamas terrorists found themselves trapped underground. If left alone, the IDF could systematically locate and destroy them by blowing up the tunnels where they are hiding. But now the Trump administration has made clear it wants those “terrorists in the tunnels” to be allowed to safely cross the Yellow Line into the part of Gaza still held by Hamas, having only to surrender their weapons to the IDF. As soon as they enter that dimidiated Hamastan, of course, Hamas will then at once replace the weapons they gave up. The US administration has made it clear to Israel that it wishes to quickly resolve the crisis concerning the 100 to 200 terrorists located in the tunnels in Rafah, a US official told The Jerusalem Post.

“We believe they should be allowed to leave with immunity following the return of the body of the kidnapped soldier, Lt. Hadar Goldin,” the official said.

On Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US President Donald Trump’s envoy, Jared Kushner.

According to a report by the Saudi news channel Al Hadath, Kushner told the prime minister that the US would like Hamas terrorists to leave for areas under Hamas control or depart to another country in order to prevent a crisis.

What Kushner considers a “crisis” is in fact an opportunity for the IDF to entirely wipe out the remaining Hamas presence on the east side of the Yellow Line.

“Finding a solution to this issue will serve as a pilot for the disarmament of Hamas,” Kushner reportedly told Netanyahu.

No, it won’t be a “pilot” for the disarmament of Hamas. Right now, those 200 Hamas members are trapped in a tunnel underground; the IDF can systematically blow up those tunnels. Some Hamas men will be destroyed in those tunnels. Others will emerge from those tunnels, where IDF troops will be waiting to kill them. None need be left alive, nor should be. The 20,000-25,000 Hamas men in the part of Gaza beyond the Yellow Line will survive, free from the threat of destruction by Israel, as long as they agree to surrender all of their arms, and their leaders go into exile.

Why does the Trump administration want to rescue these 200 Hamas fighters from annihilation? Wouldn’t it make more sense to let Israel deal with them as they deserve? Such an outcome would make clear to Hamas that it has well and truly lost, and instead of continuing to boast about refusing to disarm it will, having seen what happened to its 200 last fighters behind the Yellow Line, decide to surrender its weapons in order to avoid a similar fate.

Along with wanting Israel to spare the lives of the Hamas men in the tunnels under Rafah, the Trump administration seems determined to put its trust in Ahmed al-Sharaa’s supposed conversion from Al-Qaeda member to a moderate Western-oriented leader, exchanging his combat fatigues for a suit and tie, who claims he wants “peace” with all of his neighbors, including Israel. Of course, that “peace” can only happen, al-Sharaa wants the world to understand, once Israel withdraws from the defensive outposts it has established just inside the Syrian border. Unlike the Americans, the Israelis are skeptical of al-Sharaa’s supposed change of heart, and are disinclined to pull back from those outposts as long as Syrian soldiers continue to threaten the Alawites, the Kurds and especially, the Druze, whom Israel intends to protect.

  2. Well their *belief* is misplaced. How long did the hostages…kidnap victims, tortured, starved, assaulted in every way possible while kept in the dark tunnels…suffer at the filthy hands of hamas?

    A day for every day is fair. At least no one is torturing them and saying they must convert to Judaism. Nor are their families….about which they give no hoots, beans or figs….being threatened.

    • They should be given the minimum of food & water to survive and stay in there for 2 years. Let them experience what the hostages endured.

  3. The US should stay out of this one. They have absolutely no right to dictate to the Israelis what they should do with the 200 holed up Hamas terrorists. Let them starve and rot in those tunnels because that was their choice to hide there like a pack of rats. They have to experience and feel what they did to the hostages. That tunnel should be totally sealed off so that they are deprived of air, water and food.

    To some I may sound cruel but I don’t give a rat’s hairy arse what anyone think because they don’t have a family member who was killed on October 7th. I lost a family member on that day…. my cousin’s 20 year old son Tomer Barak was killed by those Hamas terrorists on that day. So I have no sympathy at all

      Terrorists who did what those ghouls did, have forfeited any right to life. If each one took just one life, that one forfeited his further right to live. And they took so many lives.
      They didn’t just murder, they tortured, tormented and murdered in the most horrific ways.

      I have no sympathy for any of them.

      Ah, if only those in the West still realized what the West did until a half century ago or so, i.e., that Islam is utterly inimical to the Judeo-Christian value system and to Western Civilization in general. Alas, those days are no more.

      • I disagree. Not every ‘Westerner’ has turned antisemitic, in the sense traditionally attributed to the word, i.e. anti Jews. Yes, antisemitism has grown, but support for Jews and Israel has grown as well. But I also do believe that a lot of Westerners have become antisemitic in the sense of ‘anti Arabs’ (Arabs too are semitic). Where I come from, they are totally despised, virtually spat on.

    • Probably from the start they have been the same, only change appearance. Before became US president for the first time, Trump praised a corrupted Indonesian legislative as a “very fine person”, the “very fine person” not long after that was jailed.

If those Hamas mole rats are allowed to go free from their tunnels that they created, for murderous jihad violence, those Muslim terrorists will not be grateful but further confine in the violent and death -inflecting Islamic terrorist way to committed genocide against the Jewish people and jihadist attempts to destroy the State of Israel.

    For those malicious and vicious Muslim terrorists of Hamas have very dangerously active in their underground tunnels. They are very comparable to mole rats.

  9. A compromise – gas the tunnels and drag them out into prison. They can be hostages for Israel’s benefit. Feed them little until they resemble the Israeli hostages from 10/7 and then use them for future prisoner swaps, unable to fight until months, years, or never recovering. Isn’t equal treatment fair or does the world think only Israelis and Jews should suffer?

    Obviously, the world’s Jew-hatred flows like a giant sewer, particularly from the OIC and the feminized part of the West.

      IDF is dealing with tunnels in Gaza now and may they complete the job for once despite US nonsense.

  18. I am outraged that Israel is being pressured to provide 200 Hamas terrorists safe passage out of the tunnels that were built to attack and destroy Israel!!! It is an obscenity––and if Jared Kushner actually believes that “Finding a solution to this issue will serve as a pilot for the disarmament of Hamas” then Kushner is either consummately ignorant or consummately corrupt. Hamas will NEVER disarm––not ever! Hamas must be disarmed––and Israel must be allowed to end this war. Kushner ought to read the Koran. Kushner ought to read the Muslim Brotherhood Memorandum. Islam is a supremacist, binary, socio-political replacement ideology that doctrinally insists the world will have peace when all the world is MUSLIM!
