Thanksgiving is upon us once again, and the left is doing its usual thing. Search around the nation’s foremost leftist publications, and you’ll find the holiday ignored altogether, referred to in passing as the day that Trump’s presidency will finally crash and burn, or radically revised so that it’s really all about the coming victory of the oppressed and marginalized. You will likely search in vain for any leftist anywhere actually doing what the holiday invites us to do: give thanks. There is a very simple reason for this glaring omission: an attitude of gratitude runs contrary to what leftism in all its forms is all about. In fact, being grateful is the very condition that the left wants most to eradicate from the earth altogether.

I saw a photo of people carrying signs …none saying give thanks. All were implying that having a day to give thanks is an evil thing.
In that ancient book, the Bible, the Jews were given six days to work, a seventh day to rest and to *give thanks* for all of the blessings they had received and for the benefits of serving a Loving God.
To Whom, or whom, do people give thanks? If one does not feel grateful or appreciative, or if one feels that he personally is responsible for all of the good things in his life, then he has no one to thank.
I give thanks every day for “every good and perfect gift.” And I say thank you whenever some human does something for me, whether or not they also get paid to do it.
For those who find saying/giving thanks too much bother, or even complain that others have a *day* for thanksgiving, I believe they must have a very self-centered and lonely existence.

Life is a wonderful gift, and this is a historically great time to live it. Whether a believer in a particular religion, an athiest, or perhaps a believer that consciousness is but a puddle in the fabric of the universe – appreciation and gratitude to others, and for the creator of all in the universe we experience, is the measure of humanity.
What we do with our life in a free society is up to us. We can make a party out of complaining that someone, usually government, must do the real work or we can do something personally to benefit another person.
Times are coming which even government cannot control and it will be our decision to help each other and survive, or not. So far, we have allowed ourselves to become more dependent on the consolidation of businesses, vulnerable technology, and government handouts that have given a thinly-veneered expectation of safe continuance.
The Founding Fathers spoke of the pursuit of happiness, thinking we would have the wisdom to know it can’t be bought, yet, never aware of our absolute glut of modern products which falsely claim to be the creator of happiness.
As the song, Sunrise Sunset, expresses, life mingled closely with others is, “laden with happiness and tears”, yet another describes of the tears, “we simply chose to forget”. It’s the laughter we will remember.

I actually think some people love being oppressed and marginalized it seems to give them purpose in life.
There is no country that everyone is equal, some always have a little more while some seem to have it all. thats life. Personally I’m thankful for what I worked to have and for a wonderful family that I spent my Thanksgiving day with. Trust me life can always be harder, so celebrate and be thankful you’re alive.
