Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s proclamation designating the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a Foreign Terror Organization has now been covered on 12 broadcasts. But a very important part of this story is not what Abbott said — it is what he didn’t say.
Abbott did not mention CAIR’s real source of power in the United States: its constant presence on local television, on which it uses the news to attack private citizens, pressure employers, smear local officials, and frame events before facts catch up. This isn’t speculation — it is documented on video, hundreds of times, across seven years.
And of course, local TV stations have ignored this pattern of helping CAIR attack the public. On their broadcasts about CAIR’s Foreign Terror Organization designation, they didn’t even talk about the governor’s proclamation. Instead, they focused on CAIR’s outrage, CAIR’s denials, and CAIR’s feelings. What they did not show viewers was CAIR’s long, documented pattern of using the media as a weapon.
CAIR on TV: Hundreds of Broadcasts, Zero Context
CAIR appears on local news every night somewhere in America.
- 2023: 666 broadcasts
- 2024: 560 broadcasts
- 2025 (so far): 500+ broadcasts
Since October 7, 2023, CAIR is on TV more than ever before.
Yet across these hundreds of appearances, stations almost never mention:
- CAIR’s origins inside the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee;
- CAIR’s listing in the Holy Land Foundation trial as a “working organization” of that Committee;
- CAIR cofounder and longtime Executive Director Nihad Awad’s participation in the FBI‑recorded 1993 Philadelphia Meeting;
- The FBI’s subsequent decision to distance itself from CAIR;
- CAIR’s refusal to condemn Hamas after October 7.
Local TV hides all of this, even if a governor brings it up — and CAIR knows it.
The Governor Could Have Gone Further
For seven years, CAIR has used local TV to punish ordinary people. This year alone:
- Middle School Teacher — CAIR compared her remark (“I don’t negotiate with terrorists”) to a racial slur, and pushed her out of her job.
- Florida Fire Chief — CAIR inserted itself into a case that had nothing to do with it and hinted that the chief should be fired.
- Uncommon Church — CAIR claimed that vandalizing a church for flying an Israeli flag was “free speech.”
- Former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant — CAIR demanded he be silenced and even arrested.
- Northwestern University — CAIR sued to stop anti‑antisemitism teaching; the lawsuit was dismissed immediately.
- Lara Loomer — CAIR blamed her, without evidence, for a man’s visa issues.
- Dan Dow — CAIR demanded an investigation into Dow, a district attorney, for mourning 9/11.
These are not anomalies. There are 200+ documented examples of CAIR using local TV to attack private citizens.
And this is while CAIR carries unresolved connections not only to Hamas, but also to Islamic State (ISIS) brides, “Lady al‑Qaeda,” and Jamaat‑e‑Islami (via ICNA).
Abbott Finally Gave CAIR What It Gives Others
Most people CAIR targets cannot fight back. Teachers, restaurants, the mentally ill, local officials, small churches — none of them can call a press conference or command media attention.
A governor can.
Abbott put CAIR under the same spotlight CAIR uses on others — and CAIR has no real response. Its only defense has been the familiar script:
- “We are victims.”
- “This hurts all Muslims.”
- “If he can do this to us, he can do it to anyone.”
These arguments are hollow. Abbott didn’t target Muslims; he targeted CAIR’s documented history.
And he can keep this fight entirely in public, where CAIR has always thrived — until now.
If Abbott continues, CAIR will be forced to live under the same media pressure it has used against others for years.
Local TV Still Won’t Tell the Full Story
In all 12 broadcasts, stations focused on CAIR’s emotions and legal threats. They ignored the evidence — again.
Local TV protects CAIR by pretending this history doesn’t exist.
Conclusion: Abbott Didn’t Just Target CAIR — He Exposed the Media
Abbott didn’t reveal anything new about CAIR. Federal courts, FBI recordings, and trial exhibits did that years ago.
What he exposed was the media system that has shielded CAIR from scrutiny while giving it nightly access to the public.
If newsrooms had been honest about CAIR, none of Abbott’s statements would surprise anyone.
It would be best for all if TV stations stopped helping CAIR attack people on television.

I think his moves would set the standards at a federal level as well: everyone knows that the president doesn’t like being outdone by any governor when it comes to being pro-America. If Abbott has branded CAIR a foreign terrorist organization, there is no way Trump can take CAIR’s side

The attempt to create a “Muslim-only” city in Texas, originally named EPIC City and now changing the name to be different than the Epic Mosque. The controversey centers around the federal Fair Housing Act which it would violate as a Muslim-only city. The new city will be, “The Meadow”.
Apparently, the original EPIC City plans required a fee similar to HOA fees that, in majority, would go to the EPIC Mosque which would be free to dispense it for uses including immigration and likely, some would find its way to foreign militant groups.
Now that the Feds are involved, to comply with the FHA, non-Muslims would be allowed in, but, as we might expect, would find conditions more favorable to moving out.

All of which makes me convinced again that completely grasping how malevolent Islam is, how parasitic it is, how destructive of liberty it is, is still in the process of being fully digested. Put another way, you can’t go too far in scorn for Islam or in attempts to defeat its many warped goals. Prevailing over Islam remains a work in progress and I fervently hope it is a work that reaches full fruition. Better or else.
