Sudan plunged into a civil war in April 2023 after a vicious power struggle broke out between the Sudanese government military and a militia group, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Amid the humanitarian crisis, which has “killed at least 150,000 people, forced more than 12 million to flee their homes and left nearly 25 million facing acute hunger,” the Islamic State (IS) has now entered the scene, in an attempt to exploit the Sudanese civil war. It has issued an open call to jihad in Sudan, including an exhortation for the migration of foreign fighters to Sudan. Its goal is to continue its rapid expansion in Africa. “Islamic State redoubles call for jihad in Sudan, urges foreign fighters to migrate,” by Caleb Weiss, Long War Journal, October 31, 2025:
As news of more mass atrocities committed by the United Arab Emirates-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) circulates, the Islamic State has again called for jihad in Sudan. In this week’s Al Naba newsletter, the global jihadist organization made its second call to arms for Sudan this year, while also encouraging foreign fighters to migrate to the country.
“Among the remnants of nationalism produced by contemporary ignorance is the denial, neglect, and disavowal of the wounds of Muslims, as long as they do not affect the original homeland in which that ‘nationalist’ being was raised,” the Islamic State’s editorial began. The group claimed that nationalism is the reason that Sudanese Muslims suffer within the current conflict.
“Nationalism compels the people of each region or country to attend to their own problems and issues […] while attending to the issues of another country is considered interference in its affairs and a violation of its sovereignty,” the piece stated. Therefore, the Islamic State argued, “The tragedy of Sudan does not obligate the Muslims of the world to act because it is an internal Sudanese matter!”
The Islamic State’s editorial board also chastised various world governments for their inaction due to “their political interests,” arguing that this causes inaction from their citizenry as nationalistic interests align with those of the state…
The jihadist group’s editorial argued that Muslims should disavow nationalism, turn inward towards Islam, and lean on the Ummah [worldwide Islamic community]…..
Some background on the UAE’s involvement in the war: The Guardian reported that “smoking gun evidence” recovered from battlefields during Sudan field investigations led to a 41-page document being sent to the UN Security Council. The document contained evidence which proved the UAE’s involvement in materially supporting the genocidal Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
The reasons for the UAE’s interest in the RSF are widely believed to be economic and political. The UAE wants Sudan’s gold. The Emirates are “a top destination for gold smuggled from Sudan,” and “official records show that the UAE imported $2.29 billion worth of Sudanese gold in 2022.” The actual numbers are said to be much higher. The UAE also has political motives. Its President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is hostile to Saudi Arabia’s presence in Sudan’s army, to which the RSF is also opposed. So as the UAE carves out its own regional influence, distinct from that of the Saudis, it is deemed complicit in Sudan’s genocide.
Islam’s doctrine of jihad historically influenced the Sudanese military and government, particularly in recent times for three decades under former President Omar al-Bashir, who seized power in a 1989 coup that the Muslim Brotherhood-rooted National Islamic Front backed. The latter established deep roots within the government and the military, and this is the influence that the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces militia is fighting.
Meanwhile, “Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, and the Arab League joined the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Muslim World League in calling for restraint and a ceasefire amid reports of mass killings and civilian suffering in the besieged North Darfur,” but they’re largely just paying lip service to the imperative for peace, without doing anything concrete to end the conflict.
As the Islamic State emphasized the “suffering of Sudanese Muslims,” as usual, Christians are suffering the worst, as both sides of the conflict single them out and target them for persecution. They’re also being systematically starved. As an NGO reported, Christians and other minorities are told in food distribution lines: “Unless you leave your Christianity, no food for you.’
With the Islamic State calling for greater involvement of jihadis in the war, Christian suffering will likely increase.

Wherever there is Islam there is unhappiness and loads of people get killed. That about sums it up.

Yet all we hear about are fake “starving Gazans”.

And no muslims make a fuss about it even though many of the victims are muslims , because the genocide is done by muslims.
Muslims actually do not care other muslims unless they get some benefit for “caring”.
OLD GUY says
You never hear muslims caring about the murder and starvation of any other people around the world. Where is Qatar, Saudi Arabia? They could speak out against this violence in Sudan, but they won’t.
Islam is violence against others and they support that.

muzzies lust to murder for their false god and fake prophet. They find glee and satisfaction is murdering, shedding blood, raping and looting and burning.
Wherever there are muzzies, this satanic slaughter will be. The greater the number, of muzzies, the greater the number of victims of islime.
