Pope Leo Covers Up Muslim Genocide of Christians in Nigeria

If only they had been illegal aliens in Mexico.

Pope Leo has no problem speaking forthrightly when it’s an issue that he really cares about, like global warming or illegal aliens.

“We must pray for the conversion of many people, inside and outside of the church, who still do not recognize the urgency of caring for our common home,” Pope Leo XIV said.

Lamenting the natural disasters around the world that “are in part caused by the excesses of human beings, with their lifestyle,” the pope urged the intimate gathering in his homily “to ask ourselves if we ourselves are living this conversion or not: how greatly it is needed!”

“We need to move from collecting data to caring; from environmentalist discourses to an ecological conversion that transforms personal and community lifestyles.”

 

Compare that to Pope Leo’s mushy remarks about the mass murder of Christians by Muslims in Nigeria.

“I think in Nigeria, in certain areas, there is certainly a danger for Christians, but for all people. Christians and Muslims have been slaughtered,” he said, addressing a question from EWTN News about the safety of Nigerian Christians on Nov. 18.

“There’s a question of terrorism. There’s a question that has to do a lot with economics, if you will, and control of the lands that they have,” the pope continued. “Unfortunately, many Christians have died, and I think it’s very, it’s important to seek a way for the government, with all peoples, to promote authentic religious freedom.”

Things are happening. Christians and Muslims are being killed. Who’s doing it? Economics. Also a question of terrorism.

I documented this same behavior by Pope Francis who avoided and evaded dealing with the mass murder of Christians, but was more than happy to mourn the deaths of Muslims.

On Feb 14, 2025, Muslim terrorists kidnapped 70 Christians in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, took them to a church, tied them up and beheaded them. Their bodies were left there to rot by the Muslim killers who did it to show the supremacy of Islam over Christianity.

Pope Francis made no mention of this bloody massacre of Christians in a church, instead in a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, he spoke about “the serious humanitarian emergency in Gaza.”

Pope Francis had accused Israel of genocide, but had asserted that, “I want to say clearly that I do not like it when people speak of a ‘genocide of Christians,’ for example in the Middle East”.

Pope Leo is determined to continue the same policy. Like a lot of Democrats, he has a great deal of passion when it comes to illegal aliens and global warming, not when it comes to the mass murder of Christians.

Beginning with the Obama administration, Muslims murdered over 125,000 Christians in Nigeria. This revelation in the latest report from the International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law documents a Christian genocide that has been taking place in Africa as over 1,000 Christian communities were shattered and 19,000 churches destroyed.

If only they had been illegal aliens in Mexico.

  1. I just wonder – what percentage of the African Christians being murdered are Catholics?

    • According to what I read, about 75% of the Christians in Nigeria are Protestant,
      and 25% Catholic.

      • How about other countries, such as the 2 Congos, Cameroon, Sudan, Uganda, Mozambique,….?

        • Catholics are 52% of the Christian population in South Sudan. (Only 8% Muslim in South Sudan.)

          In Cameroon 55% of Christians are Catholic.
          Cameroon is 30% Muslim.

          In Uganda 37.4 of the Christian population is Catholic, and 13% of Cameroon is Muslim.

          But on a very real level it should not matter–the pope should be defending *all* Christians against genocide, whatever their denomination.

      The seat of the Papacy IS the Biblical antichrist. ‘The man of sin’, ‘The son of perdition.

      From 1203 to 1805, millions upon millions of Bible believing Christians were slaughtered aqt the hands of Rome, because they believed in Christ alone for salvation.
      Tradition is NOT equal to Scripture as Rome clains & we do not need to confess sins to any man, indeed the Bible tells us (James 5:16) confess your faults to one another.

      The utter blasphemy of the Catholic commioan rites, body into bread & wine into blood is satanic to the fullest.

      In the UK the reformation has been undone over many years & now the once incredible true Church of Christ has been laid waste & power snatched back by Rome.
      Rome uses islam to further the ancient evil aims.

      Of course we shall hear nothing of substance from the ancient enemy of all Bible believers regarding the persecuted Church in Nigeria.
      He is NOT Christian. The false Christ indeed as you say, sat enthroned on that seat where many false Christs have sat before him.

      Salvation is by,
      Grace alone.
      Through Faith alone.
      On the Word alone.
      In Christ alone.
      To the Glory of God alone.

      • This is not really the place to air your animus towards the tenets of the Catholic Church. (and I am not Catholic myself). At issue here is the current pope enabling Jihad genocide against Christians.

          It was more of agreeing & adding my susbstance to what @SH had wisely stated.
          Plus i was VERY upset with the ongoing slaughter of the faithful in Nigeria & the pope’s lack of genuine care or action.

      It’s possible – although I am not completely sure – that Pope Leo may be even worse than Pope Francis.

      • I’m already quite tired of this man, James. He is indicative of what has happened to the Catholic Church over the past sixty years.

        The old Catholic Church is no more. It had a good run, almost two thousand years (still less than a thousand years or so compared to the ancient Egyptian religion), and now it’s gone and has been replaced with the pseudo-Catholic Church, a pale imitation of the old one.

  4. This confirms what I first posted when the man who came Officially known a Pope Leo X!V, first stated his rule as the head of the Roman Catholic Church.

    Therefore, that message needs to be repeated . which is that many people were very hopefully naive that Pope Leo would be much better than Pope Francis. Yet their hope must have been based on feelings and emotions and not history . For the history of the papacy many of the pope appeared to be very good men at first, later they proved themselves to be a terrible men , to the disappointment of many people.

    Let’s face it. Pope Leo XIV is a man .So, it’s best not to naive trust him too much. That’s just opening the door to to being disappointed . As the Bible instructs :”it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118: 8. [N.K.J.V.]

    The claim that the now all-Muslim government of Nigeria wants religious freedom is grotesque. It does not even oppose genocide of Christians.

  7. He must know about Muslims in Africa slaughtering Christians so it is inexcusable dereliction of duty for the pope not to try to defend the Christians. He should tell the truth about islam which is that it is evil in endless ways.

  10. Why doesn’t the pro migrant pope bring these Nigerian catholics to the Vatican? He wants America to open its borders to Islamic migrants he surely should be willing to open the Vatican to Christians. As the saying goes but your money where your mouth is.

    • If the pope took the muzzies in Africa into the vatican, perhaps the Christians in Africa would be free of the slaughters.
      But we know he’s not going to do any *right* thing to help those who have faith in Christ. A faith he does not have.
