His account was corroborated by the leadership of the Akurmi Development Association (AKURDA) in a statement signed by its National President, Mr. Yakubu Maigamo.
The association stated: “The Akurmi Development Association (AKURDA) woke up to the disheartening news of bandits/kidnappers ravaging one of our communities, Gidan Waya in Yarkasuwa, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The attackers struck on the night of 11th November, 2025, killing four (4) people and abducting twelve (12) people – men, women, and children.”
It identified those killed as Promise Korau, 18; Hycent Timothy, 19; Mato Shagori, 40; and an elderly individual identified as Markus Ishaya.
It also listed those kidnapped as follows: Habibu Yahaya, 42; Love Markus, 38; Mummy Markus, 49; Catherine Shitu, 40; Ibrahim Bagobari, 46; John Ibrahim, 15; Rev. Istifanus Dungu, 58; Christiana Dungu, 14; Prince Dungu, 13; Miss Dauda; Mrs. Rev. Danbala Inuwa, 38; and one other villager yet to be identified.
The association strongly condemned the brutal attack and the kidnapping of their people while they were asleep.
It appealed for immediate action from the security forces to secure the community and bring the perpetrators to justice….

I never got what that Trump threat achieved? If he does nothing, as seems inevitable, then he looks like he issued an empty threat. If he does anything tangible, it would have to involve sending troops there, but for a country that has almost turned on Israel b’cos of the perception that it needs to send troops, are they going to be more open to sending American troops to Nigeria? Even if the reason for that would be protecting Christians?

Like you say, I doubt the American People have the national will for Airborne Assaults and Infantry in Nigeria, though maybe with the large number of Christians in Congress, there would be support for a time-limited action.
The biggest mistake most CINCs and weak Generals make is not using overwhelming violent force to achieve the campaign objective in a timely manner. War fatigue is real for the American People. Henry Kissinger used to say that time limit is 3.5 years, before the People and their Representatives begin losing support.
As General William T. Sherman used to say: “War is cruelty. There’s no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will all be over.”
As General Curtis LeMay, America’s longest serving 4-Star, and credited with more enemy kills than any other US Servicemen at over 350,000, famously said: “I’ll tell you what war is all about. It’s about killing people. If you kill enough of them, they stop fighting. There are no innocent civilians. It is their government and you are fighting a people, you are not trying to fight an armed force anymore. So it doesn’t bother me so much to be killing the so-called innocent bystanders.”
If I were CINC, or advising the CINC, I’d personally cruise a Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs) off the Nigerian Coast.
I’d locate large formations of mujahideen (I consider all Muslims mujahideen) and mujahideen villages/towns without any Christians.
Then I’d sanitize the ingress egress air routes by eliminating any air defenses with Wild Weasel and/or B2 airstrikes.
Then I’d run full scale Strike Packages for Strategic Area Bombing operations with Strike B-1s, B-52s, some B-2s, and supporting Strike Package aircraft sorties launched from Rota NS, Spain; Sigonella NS, Sicily; and the CSG.
I’d continue this campaign around the clock until we broke the enemy’s “Will to Fight,” which is the Objective and definition of victory in ANY war. I’d break the Will to Fight of the Insurgent Hit Squad mujahideen primarily, but also of the Nigerian National Military, if they interfered, in which case I would also demand the Head of State surrender Islam altogether throughout the State, through national policy and Nigerian blood & treasure to counter the Insurgency. If the Head of State rejected such demands, I’d target and annihilate the regime itself and military command structure (but not rank & file yet), along with all mujahideen insurgency. I’d continue this air assault until it’s safe for Airborne Ranger Forces and/or USMC Forces from the CSG to land and secure the Capital and install a regime of our choosing.
But that’s just me…

Least of all in this space, where people are exasperated w/ his support of rogue regimes like Qatar, Turkey and Pakistan, and while we sympathize w/ Nigerian Christians, we don’t expect our government to do anything. I’m a combat veteran of OEF/OIF, but one need not carry a rifle, fly combat missions, or wear a uniform at all to be a patriot who defends America and fights the counterjihad.
Robert Spencer knows more about Islam than any other Kafir in history. He has done more to prepare our nation to fight the zero-sum global Islamic War than any other American ever. Robert Spencer is to the counterjihad movement as Ulysses S. Grant was to the American Civil War, and his loss from the public sphere would be just as damaging to America as Grant’s loss would have been.
He has written 32 books, nearly all of which are about Islam and its existential threat. I’ve always trusted his opinions, having personally learned from this website and the other fine authors over the past 11 years, through near-daily interactions. I’ve never seen anything other than accurate reporting and sound judgment from Robert & crew. He walks a careful tightrope with his language and the words he chooses because he is under constant threat of deplatforming from a legion of critics and opponents. I hope, for Western Civilization’s sake, that Robert keeps working for all of us. He’s nearly indispensable. His loss would be profound.
I voted for Trump in all three elections. I’m still a big supporter of our President, but other than his “Midnight Hammer” limited airstrike on Ford, Natanz, and Isfahan, his Dunning-Kruger effort about Islam and the Islamic War as our CINC have been disappointing, at best, and at worst are negligent, and more evidence has been recently reported that he has profited financially from US foreign policy beneficial to the Ummah and harmful to America and by extension the global Kufara.
Robert Spencer is a wise man with clear eyes unobscured by Cognitive Dissonance. He wears no Rose-Colored-Glasses about Trump. Neither should the rest of us.

Reason that was said was that it’s an empty threat. Currently, there is a major opposition on the Right to foreign intervention anywhere in the world, when we have our own myriad domestic problems to take care of. Heck, even support to Israel has been strongly opposed. Given all that, what makes anyone think that POTUS would have any support if he really sends troops or does a bombing raid on Nigeria? And if he doesn’t, then it’s an empty threat, just like Robert Spencer described it

Don’t expect the UN to do squat. The last time the UN had peacekeeping forces in Africa – Rwanda in the 90s – their troops (mainly the Russian ones) were involved in rape activities against the locals. Also, there are some 50 muslim countries that are members: is the UN going to consciously, systematically exclude all of them from such a force?
