Perhaps, like Donald Trump, you are expecting good things from Zohran Mamdani when he assumes the office of New York City mayor in January. Perhaps he will put aside, you hope, his anti-Israel animus and keep his promise to ensure that “antisemitism has no place in New York City.” But all the signs are that he is surrounding himself with people who are just as full of hostility to the Jewish state, and to Jews, as he is. More on his recent appointments to his transition committee can be found here: “Who are the anti-Israel activists on key committees of Mamdani’s transition team? – explainer,” by Mathilda Heller, Jerusalem Post, November 26, 2025:
Among the 400 people appointed to help New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani transition to his administration are some figures renowned for their anti-Israel stance and activism, heightening existing concerns about the potential hostility of the future Mamdani administration.
The list, which was introduced on Tuesday, includes prominent members of the Democratic Socialists of America, lawyers, retired police officers, and activists.
Waleed Shahid, committee on community organizing
Waleed Shahid describes himself as a democratic political strategist. He has a track record of mocking Jewish outlets and making anti-Israel comments on social media.
On October 7, 2023, the day of Hamas’ massacre, Shahid tweeted, “Similar to violent militias in Ireland, South Africa, and many places around the world, Hamas is also a byproduct of Israel’s violent policies of occupation and the second-class status of Palestinians.”
Israel was not “occupying” Gaza on October 7, 2023. Israel had pulled out completely from Gaza in 2005. The Arabs in Israel are not “second-class” citizens; they are fully equal to Israeli Jews in their civil and religious rights. The only difference in their treatment is that Israeli Jews must, while Israeli Arabs may, serve in the military.
Responding to his appointment, the current mayor Adams administration said, “Waleed Shahid’s role in Mamdani’s transition team isn’t a surprise – it’s confirmation. Shahid’s track record of mocking Jewish outlets aligns perfectly with Mamdani’s own silence on antisemitism.”
“Mamdani didn’t just hire Shahid – he built a pipeline for activists who treat Jew-hatred as a punchline. Meanwhile, Orthodox Jews in Brooklyn can’t walk safely, and Mamdani’s response is more committees stacked with the same extremists who cheer BDS.”
Jenna Hamed, committee on arts and culture
Jenna Hamed is a Palestinian-American curator and bookmaker.
She is extensively involved in pro-Palestinian advocacy and activities relating to Palestinian heritage.
On October 13, 2023, she tweeted: “I will commend, support, reaffirm my people for all measures taken toward LIFE and LIBERATION. If you believe in a FREE PALESTINE, you believe in a free Gaza. When you say FREE PALESTINE, it means you support the obliteration of all borders.”
Not long later, on October 28, 2023, she tweeted, “Israel’s military aggression is not self-defense. What we are witnessing is a continuation and acceleration of the 75-year land grab project. They are exploiting the grief of the October 7th events to justify their murdering and destruction in Gaza, the same way they exploited holocaust grief to justify the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land in 1948.”…
She forgets that Israel was not the aggressor in the Gaza War. Israel did not want, and did not expect, a war with Hamas. But once Hamas had committed its atrocities — the torture, rape, mutilation, and murder of 1,200 Israelis, on October 7, 2023 — Israel had no choice. It had to take the war to the enemy, to ensure that such a Hamas attack could never happen again. Furthermore, there was no mass “expulsion of Palestinians… in 1948.” Overwhelmingly, the Arabs who left Mandatory Palestine and then, after May 14, 1948, the state of Israel, did so because Arab broadcasts urged them to leave in order to get out of the way of the invading Arab armies, and assured those Arabs that they would soon be able to return, accompanying those presumably triumphant Arab troops. Some Israelis, such as Shabtai Levy, the mayor of Haifa, urged the Arabs to stay. Only in a handful of places did the Israelis pressure the local Arabs to leave villages that were of military value.
Sherif Ahmed is the executive director of the Muslim American Society NY. MAS has been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, and is sometimes considered its American branch, so much so that the UAE has banned MAS and declared it a terrorist organization….
Does Mamdani want to keep on his transition committee someone who directs a group — MAS — that has been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, that just now the Trump administration has banned some chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization?
Lumumba Bandele, committee on community organizing
Lumumba Bandele is the organizer of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, an organization of Afrikans in America whose mission is to “defend the human rights of our people and promote self-determination in our community.” It believes that the collective institutions of “white-supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism have been at the root of our people’s oppression.”
On the day of October 7, 2023, Bandele posted “solidarity from Brooklyn to Palestine.”
He has been a member of the BDS movement since at least 2012.
In 2012, he tweeted, “We firmly assert the right of the Palestinian people to resist their ongoing occupation and colonization by the Israeli government and the international forces of Zionism. We also firmly support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and statehood, and the unequivocal and irrevocable right to return.”
So the Jews of Israel are “colonizing” the very land that the Jewish people have inhabited for 3500 years? Isn’t it the Arabs, who came to the Land of Israel from Arabia, who have proved to be the most successful colonizers in the history of the world? They came out of Arabia in the seventh century and conquered lands from the Atlantic to Sassanian Persia, subjugating their peoples, spreading Islam, and over time convincing many of those conquered peoples that they, too, were Arabs, or even descendants of the Quraysh, the tribe of Muhammad, which is why so many people in Pakistan today have adopted the honorific “Sayyid” that signifies that descent. Ultimately, other Muslims continued the Islamic conquest all the way to India, where the Muslim rulers — the Mughal emperors — managed to murder 70-80 million Hindus.
This squalid crew of anti-Israel haters, each more idiotically hostile than the next, are people Zohran Mamdani has selected to be on his transition committee. Those who were hoping for even a modicum of decency toward Israel from Mamdani once he was elected should by now be disabused. Fasten your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Instead of debating how justified Israel is – which we all know, it’s better to focus on the very relevance of the qualifications of those anti-Jewish activists that are in his circle. If he puts somebody in charge of the MTA or the police there, the question that should be asked is – how has _____ proven himself/herself/itself/zimself/zerself…. in managing smooth transportation anywhere? Just hating Jews and rooting for a “Palestine” hardly makes it qualified for that role
It’s like Biden, where qualifications for any job were thrown overboard for a virtue signal to LGBTQIA2SMAP+ “people”, so that we had thieves like Sam Brinton in government in charge of nuclear waste disposal. Don’t be too surprised when the staff around Mamdani don’t have a clue on how to deal w/ the city’s myriad issues

Trump is a fool for Islam he obviously doesn’t understand the consequences for this ridiculous display. While he claim to clean up the bad policies of Left…he continues down the same path of corruption. Mandami is only qualified for policies of rad left and their besties Islam.

Might as well add that the Muslim conquest continued from India into Indonesia and beyond. There is a Muslim presence, if not majority, from huge tracts of the continent of Africa all the way to the Philippines. Muslims (and their enablers) who are honest with themselves will have noticed that in this vast geographical sea of Islam, Israel is notable mostly for the fact that it’s a tiny sliver of land barely visible on the world map. But of course they are honest neither with themselves nor anyone else. They are a disease, and mayhem is the main symptom.

No, the islamization of Indonesia happened courtesy the Arabs of Yemen. Their traders got to Sumantra, and after an Indonesian ruler embraced islam, he converted his subjects as well, and that’s how it happened. It had nothing to do w/ Indian mohammedans. That’s also why in the subcontinent, the madhab that muslims go by is Hanafi, whereas in Indonesia, it’s Shafi’i

Sorry if I was unclear, never meant to imply that India was responsible for the spread of Islam to Indonesia, just that the spread continued east until it reached the Pacific.

All muzzies, all the time. Nothing good will come of this …electing a snake, who then selects other snakes for his pit of vipers, will only lead to a lot of poison for the people who pay these snakes to rule over them.
I’m not “expecting good things” from this lying scum and I do not “hope” that he will change because I know for a certainty that he will do even worse than he has indicated.
The whole of NYC will be a no-go-zone unless one is just another damn stooge for islime.

“It’s Starting Already: As Mob Beat Multiple NYC Citizens, 911 Operators Told Residents to Call ‘Quality of Life Team'”
On Sunday, New York City Republican Councilwoman Vickie Paladino posted to social media platform X showing a mob taking over a neighborhood in the Malba section of Queens, New York. According to WNYW, the mob did donuts in their cars and allegedly set fire to a vehicle.
The New York Post reports the car belongs to a man who owns a security company, Larry Rusch.
He described the scene as “a complete melee.” Rusch parked his carry in the middle of the intersection to try to put an end to it. “As soon as I did that, everyone started leaving,” he said.
“Then two individuals go up to the car. Somehow they threw some kind of firework or something and lit the car up. Then melee started again.”
Paladino’s post included the remedy law-abiding residents were given when the mob descended on their neighborhood.
“Response to this incident was less than ideal. Residents reporting the incident to 911 were told that ‘quality of life team’ and 311 should handle the situation. Unacceptable. In fact, these violent street takeovers should be met with maximum force by the police department.”
“Unless the ‘quality of life team” is a SWAT team, they won’t be able to do much to stop these thugs. New York City needs police to enforce the law but 2026 probably won’t bring them.
This is Mamdani’s New York par excellence.
The mayor-elect has several notable anti-police figures on his team. His transition team focusing on public safety includes Brooklyn College Professor Alex Vitale, a man the New York Post reports wrote a book actually titled, “The End of Policing.””

Mamdani, the migration invasion of America took a big and I’m sure expensive step forward to get him elected to run New York City.
