The Economist has published a story entitled “Why Iran is making surprising overtures to America,” but Iran’s supreme leader has vehemently denied such a claim. Instead, the Ayatollah Khamenei has declared America “unworthy,” which aligns with the regime’s character.
Islamic supremacist zealots who are hell-bent on destroying the State of Israel, and dream of “death to America,” rule the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ayatollah Khamenei’s talk about America not being worthy of Iran’s overtures is a show of bravado.
The oppressive regime’s hatred for America and its freedoms is a perpetual provocation; the Iranian regime is obsessed with “martyrdom” and death in the cause of Allah. Any reports about Iran making overtures to America should have been taken with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile, according to an Iran International report, a former Mossad official has warned that Iran is rebuilding its nuclear program, and dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency “has been interrupted.” The former Mossad official also stated that “strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities during the twelve-day war in June caused ‘serious damage’ but did not destroy Iran’s nuclear material, adding that Tehran is strengthening defenses around key sites.”
Unless the Islamic regime is brought to ruin or overthrown, it will never make honest overtures or negotiate in good faith with America or any Western country.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Thursday, November 27, that the Trump administration was “not worthy” of contact or cooperation with the Islamic republic. “Such a government (the United States) is not worthy of being approached or cooperated with by a government like the Islamic Republic,” Khamenei said in a televised speech, rejecting rumors that Iran had sent messages to Washington as a “pure lie.”
His remarks came on the occasion of a state-designated day celebrating the Basij forces, a paramilitary force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Khamenei said the United States and Israel had failed “to achieve any objectives” during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran in June.
That month, Israel launched an unprecedented bombing campaign against Iran, triggering a war that the United States briefly joined with strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities. Israel’s attack prompted an Iranian response of missile and drone strikes and derailed nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington that had begun in April. A ceasefire between Iran and Israel has been in place since June 24.
