In a major counter-terror breakthrough, police have arrested a white-collar Islamic terror module operating from Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, and have arrested multiple doctors and other professionals working for the Pakistan-based organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The arrests have unearthed an alarming nexus of educated individuals supplying explosives, weapons, and recruits to the banned terror group. The operation, spanning multiple states, has led to the seizure of high-grade explosives, assault rifles, pistols, and other incriminating material.
The investigation began in October after posters supporting Jaish-e-Mohammed surfaced in parts of Srinagar. CCTV footage led police to Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather, a medical professional from Qazigund who had been working at the Government Medical College, Anantnag. He was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur while attempting to evade the police. Interrogation of Dr. Rather revealed a wider terror network with links stretching from Jammu and Kashmir to Haryana and beyond. Acting on the leads, the police conducted a series of raids in Faridabad, where another doctor, identified as Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie of Pulwama, was arrested from his rented accommodation.
Raids on the premises associated with Dr Ganaie led to one of the largest seizures of explosives in recent memory. Officials recovered 2,900kg of bomb-making material, including 350 kg of ammonium nitrate, along with detonators, timers, and electronic circuits used in improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Officials also found assault rifles, pistols, live ammunition, walkie-talkies, and other equipment suggesting the group was preparing for coordinated, large-scale attacks in the Delhi-NCR region and northern India. Police sources said the flat in Faridabad had been converted into a makeshift bomb-making facility.
A third accused, a woman doctor employed at Al-Falah hospital, has also been detained for questioning after a rifle was recovered from her car in Faridabad. Several others, identified as Yasir-ul-Ashraf, Arif Nisar Dar, and Maqsood Ahmad Dar from Srinagar, Zameer Ahmad Ahanger from Ganderbal, and Molvi Irfan Ahmad from Shopian, have been detained across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, taking the total number of arrests in the case to more than half a dozen. The suspects are believed to have been working under direct instructions from JeM handlers across the border, using encrypted communication platforms to coordinate the movement of materials and finances.
The module is a disturbing example of educated Muslim professionals and students turning to them jihad ideology. Despite possessing knowledge and academic qualifications that could have ensured them a prosperous and civilized life, these educated Muslims chose instead to tread the path of terror and violence.
They were not merely sympathizers of Islamist jihadis, but active participants who leveraged their social standing and professional mobility to conceal their activities. They are also accused of recruiting other Muslim youth into terror groups. This model of infiltration makes detection far more difficult, as the accused blended seamlessly into the fabric of civil society.
The twin cases reported recently from India highlight how terror outfits are exploiting professional networks to fulfill their jihadist ambitions. Doctors and engineers have been seen as trusted faces, which gives them cover to carry out illegal operations undetected and unsuspected. These professionals are operated by handlers based in Pakistan and other countries, and are involved in every aspect of terrorist activities. The case serves as a grim reminder of how Islamic jihad terrorism has evolved beyond traditional battlefields, infiltrating educated circles and professional institutions.
Officials are also coordinating with central intelligence agencies to trace the funding routes and identify possible overseas handlers. Police are also interrogating the arrested individuals to map the full extent of the network, identify other recruits, and determine the timeline of their activities. While it was initially believed that the dismantling of this module had disrupted a potential terror plot, it might be just the tip of the iceberg, as a major blast near the iconic Red Fort sent tremors throughout the national capital and beyond on Monday, November 10.
A car exploded near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, killing at least eight people and injuring several others. The blast triggered massive fires that engulfed nearby vehicles and shattered the windows of buildings in the vicinity, creating panic among commuters and residents. Delhi, along with neighboring states like Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, has been placed on high alert around sensitive areas and crowded zones. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation, with police treating it as a potentially serious attack, given the location and scale of the blast.

I agree with you here, Infidel. But why do you think Trump and India did this? For tariff leverage? Out of general ignorance? Appeasement purposes? For whatever reason? Is there any possible good reason or reasons?
I still have a question about Trump where Islam is concerned. Does he still believe what he said back in March of 2016, to wit, “I think Islam hates us?” Has he been snookered? Or does he think, in pure Machiavellian mode, he can divide the enemy?
Frankly, where Islam is concerned, I have to wonder what Trump PRESENTLY knows about Islam. I hope it’s a lot. I fear it’s not much though I suspect his instincts, which tend to be excellent, have led him to conclude that Islam, to put it mildly, is inferior to both Judaism and Christianity (ditto for Hinduism and Buddhism—yes if all Muslims woke up tomorrow devout Jews, Christians, Hindus or Buddhists mankind would be infinitely better off).

I think Trump was on a craze to achieve peace at all costs b/w any 2 warring nations – regardless of whether or not their conflict was provoked or justified. In some cases, he did well – like Thailand-Cambodia or Rwanda-Congo (Zaire). But the others that he’s tried to force are horrible, be it India-Pak or Israel-Hamas. Or even Armenia-Azerbaijan: I’m still trying to figure out what has Armenia gotten out of it. If he’s such a man of peace, why doesn’t he sit down at a table w/ Nicholas Maduro, where he’s bombing jetskies carrying fentanyl? However, IMO, the blame for this lies w/ India: they should have shown him the 🖕 when he demanded that they stop bombing Pakistan. How does tariffs make up for 12 tourists murdered in Kashmir, after being asked their faith? They should have told him that it’s one thing for him to mix trade talks w/ other Indian policies that the US may not like, but once they start doing this, it should have been India’s turn to walk away (referring to his “Art of the Deal” tactic). In fact, much as I loathe Vladimir Putin for his unending war w/ Ukraine, a part of me did chuckle at him ultimately refusing to play Trump’s game, and denying Trump the bragging rights of solving Russia-Ukraine. I have never bought the argument that Trump is a master player in 3D chess, even if he may be a very stable genius. I do think that everything is broken into a transaction, and if a transaction goes bad – like apparently USMCA seems to have for him – he can totally reverse course overnight, playing havoc w/ his rivals. However, in the process, he has given Canada another Liberal regime, sabotaging Poilievre, and almost seems to have quietly abandoned Taiwan

Thanks for your reply, Infidel. I never understood Trump unnecessarily needling Canada about becoming the 51st state and which helped Poilievre to lose. As for India, I defer to what you think should have been done. After all, a nation must protect its own interests above all others, something neither Obama nor Biden (and especially Biden) did not do. I of course still back Trump overall, easy call here, but I do wonder at times if he’s clever but not necessarily right. Take care.
