In a Q&A published on its French website, Five Guys specifies that “the beef served in the restaurants listed below comes from certified halal suppliers.” These establishments are located in Lyon Part-Dieu, Paris Place de Clichy, Rosny 2, Créteil Soleil, Marseille Vieux-Port, and Lille Rue de Béthune.
Another notable change: these six locations do not sell alcohol, as Five Guys indicates in its new “Halal Information” section.
As if to preempt potential criticism, the brand explains that it wants to “offer [its] Five Guys burgers and fries to as many people as possible.”

I once enjoyed their food as some of the best. And it’s ironic that yesterday on some web page was a report about fast-food places and it claimed that due to rising prices, some are not worth the money. Five Guys was on that list.
Claiming that it’s to ‘serve more people’ is a sham. You can “offer” your food to more people, but will more people eat it?
There are still….for awhile…more infidels than muzzies living and eating there, so turning away customers who don’t want “food sacrificed to idols,” and those who wish a brew with their meals, is not ‘serving more.’

Good points Spmehistory, It could prove to be a massive mistake by five guys switching to halal and banning alcohol, and I certainly hope it is. A lot of French will feel the same way as we do, especially about halal. Many wouldn’t want to eat the meat of an animal that had been slaughtered inhumanely, and a prayer to satan recited during the ritual. They’ll find it just grotesque.

So – the pork bacon is cooked separately, but the six restaurants are not “halal certified”, but the beef they buy comes from “halal certified suppliers” !
They still serve halal certified beef.

I myself don’t have beef for religious reasons, so restaurants that offer only beef, but no pork/chicken/lamb/…. are completely out of the question for me
