The Évry public prosecutor’s office was notified after a report from the Fustel-de-Coulanges high school in Massy (Essonne) concerning the sharing of a video game deemed problematic on a student WhatsApp group. A 16-year-old high school student of Egyptian origin was arrested and then brought before the court for glorification of terrorism.
On November 13, 2025, the 10th anniversary of the Bataclan attacks, the teenager shared a link to an online game on a school messaging group. The objective: to click on a plane flying over New York to avoid two towers. If the plane “crashes,” it explodes and a male voice shouts “Allah akbar.” In the message accompanying the link, the young man claims that he himself created the game.
Alerted, the school administration forwarded a report to the Evry judicial court. Initial investigations, however, revealed that the game had already existed on the internet for one to two years: it was not created by the high school student, but rather content that he had shared. Police and other intelligence services found no prior record against him.
The Evry public prosecutor’s office refers the case to the juvenile court.
The student, 16 years old and born in Kalyobia, Egypt, was arrested on November 20 and taken into police custody. During his questioning, he explained that he had only been in France for three years, that he was unaware of the November 13, 2015 attacks, and that he did not know what the game might symbolize. He claims to have simply clicked on a link received the day before from another student, before sharing it himself.An examination of his phone confirmed that he had indeed received the link beforehand and that he did not appear to be the originator. A search of his home yielded no evidence for the investigators. Despite these explanations, the public prosecutor’s office decided to proceed with the case. The minor was brought before the court on November 21, 2025, for a hearing before the juvenile court on charges of “glorification of terrorism.”

Why isn’t the CIA on top of such things, if foreign game designers are putting together such games? Find out where it is, and then have the government put pressure on the country in question to extradite them to the US

What a mixed up world. A muslim/islamic follower is totally distressed by a slice of bacon, but yet the same person is ok with beheadings, raping of young girls, murder of non-islamic people and the burning of Jewish and Christian places of worship. Put in that context the bacon is so minor that the judge ought to laugh these charges right out of the courtroom. Bacon forever!
