Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Climate Hoax) is enraged at President Donald Trump and his administration, but not for the usual Orange-Man-Bad-is-a-fascist-who-is-taking-away-Our-Democracy reasons. No, Whitehouse deserves credit for originality: he has found an entirely new reason to hate Trump, blazing trails for his fellow leftists. The man is that rarest of things among politicians, particularly leftist ones: an innovator.
Fox News reported Friday that the selfless public servant Whitehouse “spoke at a press conference on the House side of the Capitol Thursday with the blessing of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.” The indignant solon “publicly complained the Trump administration would not fund or support his junket to the COP30 climate change conference in Belém, Brazil this week.”
Never fear, however: despite the White House’s refusal to foot the bill for his junket, Whitehouse found a way to make the taxpayers pay for it anyway. Whitehouse “said that without support from Secretary Marco Rubio’s State Department, he relied on a House of Representatives ‘energy and environment coalition’ to facilitate his travel.”
Still, the shame of it all stung Whitehouse, and he wanted the world to know just how painful it was. The aggrieved statesman “held up his COP30 badge and lamented that it did not label him a representative of the ‘United States of America’ but instead ‘Global Legislators Organization for a Balanced Environment: GLOBE.’”
Warming (like the globe itself in his fantasies, heating up at the hands of venal human beings operating internal combustion engines) to his theme, Whitehouse lamented the “failure of the United States to be present.” He cried: “For the first time in history that I’m aware of, the State Department refused to support or facilitate my travel or my credentialing. My credentials don’t say United States of America.”
Explaining “that it is typically State Department or executive branch protocol to support ‘CODELs’ or congressional delegations,” Whitehouse sobbed that “the State Department refused to support this — that’s how bad the Trump administration has become.”
Oh horror! Oh shame! As is so often the case these days, however, the Trump White House declined to be demonized. White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said: “Sadly, Senator Whitehouse has fallen victim to the biggest scam of the century: the Green New Scam. The senator can foolishly spend time and money attending this radical ‘climate’ conference, but the Trump administration refuses to waste taxpayer dollars.”
That jab would have been a bit more effective if the House hadn’t ended up funding Whitehouse’s junket, but it was still a small victory that the senator was unable to present himself as an official representative of the United States of America at his confab of fantasists, Marxists, and opportunists.

The climate hoax is being spearheaded by California and New York. New York State passed a law camouflaged in the budget bill, requiring most new buildings (under 7 stories) to be all-electric. This means no natural gas, propane, heating oil, or kerosene systems for space heating, water heating, cooking, or clothes drying in new construction.
The first Phase-In Period is January 1, 2026 and applies to new buildings & residences up to 7 stories. And on January 1, 2029, it applies to all new buildings, regardless of size. Never mind that the utilities cannot generate enough electricity to sustain projected electric use, the dent made by New Yorkers in global CO2 emissions by going all-electric is farting against thunder. And wait until New York is hit with an Arctic cold snap. There will be a state full of people freezing in their new homes because the heat pumps cannot keep the living/working spaces at a comfortable temperature. Brownouts and blackouts will be commonplace due to the added strain on the utilities, meaning no heat for its customers. Democrats sure know how to destroy a state and its economy. If you go through the numbers with a fine-tooth-comb, as the heat pumps age, their efficiency plummets. This scheme will not reduce New York’s carbon dioxide emissions. The average efficiency of New York State power plants is about 38%. So, the use of heat pumps, merely shifts Carbon dioxide production away from the individual homes to a centralized power plant. And, electric clothes dryers with resistance heat actually markedly increase Carbon dioxide emissions Per load of clothes. The same is true with resistive hot water heaters.
It’s time to move out of New York to a saner state!

Spot on! Think of how much more expensive it will be in “rent controlled NYC” to heat and power buildings.
I have heard that NYC is forcing large legacy buildings to convert from natural gas water heaters and boilers to electric – costing them a bundle and driving the per month costs way up. Actually puts out MORE Carbon doing this. Stupid.

Exactly! They are just shifting the carbon dioxide production to the location of the power houses. The NYC law that mandated meeting carbon dioxide emission milestones is Local Law 97. It has nothing to do with the desirability of lowering carbon dioxide emissions, but rather its purpose seems to be fining buildings over 25000 square feet, a few hundred thousand dollars ever 5 years for their failure to rip out their gas and oil boilers and replace them with heat pumps. These fines are just New York City‘s way of generating income due to a shrinking tax base, and without formally raising taxes.

Just goes to show how stupidly selfish some are….and greedy for attention, fame and more power over the people who are forced to pay for their luxury and fun.
People were not allowed to work because they wouldn’t be paid; flights were cancelled, leaving people wondering when they could get going after using their **own** money to pay for tickets, and the dems were whining about their lack of snap benefits (how many like whitehouse get their food paid for with snap?), pointing their fingers at the president and having judges tell him that he *must* fund snap when that isn’t his job.
Senators and Reps get paid….by “The People,” so they are supposed to work “for The People.” And yet, when they want to fly here and there and eat exotic foods, the same “People” must pay for those things too.
What do these leeches pay for? They should all be required to have a side hustle….actual work….and use that money for their personal wants.

Hey don’t knock him he got an all expenses paid vacation, from us tax payers. It’s about time one of these politicians did something even if it was for himself. Which they are perky good at. It is amazing how hard these political’s will fight for something irrelevant and can do nothing to help the American people.
