Candace Owens Is Now Fit for the Laughing Academy

Candace Owens admits she has become “obsessed with Jews.” She started out her public life exhibiting an anti-Israel animus that over time has exploded into a full-blown case of virulent antisemitism. Her social media posts are not different from what used to appear in Der Stürmer. Moreover, Kirk’s producer and a recently published letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from Kirk both contradict Owens’ claims and reveal the murdered activist was a strong supporter of the Jewish state right up to his death….

Kirk’s letter to Netanyahu was full of sympathy for the mistreatment of Israel in the media and again, a declaration of his unwavering support for the Jewish state. This letter directly contradicts Candace Owens’ claim that Kirk was turning away from Israel and that is why the Israelis killed him.

In June, she suggested that New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani was an Israeli plant, that Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel was lying about being in the Holocaust, and that Israel is the “master of the universe” that plants characters into stories so that it can control them.

Owens does not explain why she thinks that the virulently anti-Israel Zohran Mamdani, who has been engaged in anti-Israel activities since he was a college student at Bowdoin, founding that school’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, who refuses to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, and who will not condemn the homicidal chant to “globalize the Intifada,” could possibly be an “Israeli plant.” Her outrageous remarks on her podcast are, however, clickbait, and contribute to her income. Unhinged antisemitism, and wild conspiracy theories attract audiences, alas, on social media.

In January, Owens attacked the Babylon Bee — a conservative Christian satire organization — for making a joke about her fixation on Jews.

“It’s just very obvious they are worshipping Israel,” Owens said. “That they base their jokes on people who don’t worship Israel and ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu.” She also referred to the Babylon Bee as the “Zionist Bee” and the “Babylonian Talmudic Bee.”

Along with everything else that is wrong with her — that is to say, everything — Candace Owens has no sense of humor. She can’t take a joke made at her expense by the Babylon Bee, or by anyone else.

Last July, Owens claimed that the Star of David originated from an evil, child-sacrificing, pagan deity and has only become associated with Judaism within the past few hundred years.

Again, this wild story about the Star of David originating from “an evil, child-sacrificing, pagan deity” has no basis in fact. The hexagram began to appear as an ornament on Jewish artifacts in the 3rd-4th centuries, and not, as Owens, claims, “a few centuries ago.” She makes up one wild claim after another, happy to create a furor that then enlarges her online audience, and her income.

In a June episode, Owens argued that “it seems like our country [the US] is being held hostage by Israel.” She lamented, “I’m going to get in so much trouble for that. I don’t care.”

If Israel, and its Jewish supporters in the U.S., are so all-powerful, as Owens claims, why has she been allowed not just to survive, but to thrive, with a net worth above $5 million? Why haven’t “the Jews and the Zionists” been able to have her removed from the Internet? Why is the brave Candace Owens not been silenced?

In the same episode, Owens claimed US Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) was “wading into some dangerous waters” when, during an interview with host Tucker Carlson, he spoke about how effective the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is at lobbying members of Congress and suggested the group should have to register as a foreign agent that is acting on behalf of Israel.

AIPAC does not take orders from Israel. It does not support every act of the Israeli government. It does try to support political figures who are broadly supportive of Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, and to educate political figures about threats to that existence.

The reason it was dangerous, Owens said, was because “we know there was once a president that wanted to make AIPAC register, and he ended up shot … so Thomas Massie better be careful.”

Owens was referencing the fact that former US President John F. Kennedy wanted the American Zionist Council [which Owens confuses with AIPAC], a lobby group, to register as a foreign agent.

However, there is no evidence the group had anything to do with Kennedy’s assassination.

Far from being an enemy of Israel, as Owens claims, Kennedy was a firm supporter of the Jewish state. He was the first American president to approve the sale of advanced, defensive American weapons to Israel, lifting the arms embargo enforced by previous administrations. This included the sale of Hawk anti-aircraft missiles in 1962, a major step in solidifying U.S. security support. As both a Senator and President, Kennedy publicly and repeatedly affirmed the U.S. commitment to Israel’s security and existence, calling it a “moral and national commitment.” He described friendship for Israel as a “national commitment” that stood beyond partisan politics. Does Owens know any of that? And if she did, would it matter, or would she continue to insist that Jews killed Kennedy because she claims, he wanted AIPAC “to register as a foreign agent”?

The lady’s a lunatic. A viciously antisemitic lunatic. Pay her no never mind, or if you feel you must, do so only to mock her. And let us all hope that the white-coated brigade will eventually come to her house and take Candace Owens to the Laughing Academy, where she so clearly belongs, for a good long stay.

      • She isn’t a pastor. I’m not sure she is even a committed Christian. I agree that women shouldn’t be pastors because that was what our Lord ordained. But a women at least in the USA CAN have a podcast. Candace doesn’t have any spiritual depth that I can discern. And I disagree with just about everything Candace believes about Israel and the Jews. Also I no longer listen to Tucker because he has turned into an antisemitic nut too. He doesn’t have any spiritual depth either. Just remember, boys and girls, Jesus Christ was a Jew. St. John the Baptist was a Jew. The holy virgin was a Jew. St. Joseph was a Jew. All of the apostles were Jews. The early church fathers were mostly Jews. Does any Christian think that God would have used the Jews whom he referred to as his “chosen people” if he hated them and they were as bad as Candace and Tucker claim they are? I want to know who has gotten to these two.

          Anyone claiming to be Christian, but not following Christ to the best of their ability, is not truly Christian. If they *hate* the Jews because they are Jews, they are not following Christ, Who cried for His brothers when describing what was to come upon Jerusalem..

  5. Well, there’s something the matter with her. Of this I have no doubt, only what the matter is being open to question (and yes, I do grasp it could be a purely pecuniary one but I suspect it’s more than this, i.e., general nuttiness).

    • Candice is a black woman and it appears now she hates white people. Perhaps the evil black people got to her and told her you speak for us, At one time I thought she wanted what was best for everyone in our country but she changed her mind and thinks the black people should have everything.

      • Well, I’m not sure it’s a racial matter with her (and at least she should know that Israel brought in many Ethiopian blacks who have a long legacy of being Jewish and made them Israeli citizens—but perhaps she doesn’t know this) but I am pretty damn sure there is a dearth of knowledge going on somewhere with her and which is mixed up with other fallacious stuff. Besides, I think she’s married to a whit man so the “racial element” is almost certainly not the sticking point here.

        At the very least, Candace Owens has demonstrated quite clearly that she should not be considered a lucid and accurate thinker—for whatever reason or reasons. In other words, she is dismissible, one among so many who first appear sapient and informed but are anything but in the final analysis.

        • In studying criminology, one learns that Jews have been especially helpful to Blacks due to both groups having been victims of discrimination and hate. Sadly, many Blacks have been unappreciative and showed hatred for Jews.

        She is married to a White English man, and has at least 3 or 4 kids with her White husband. So please provide a link for us to prove that what you claim is not a complete fantasy.. ..

      • I thought that the rift b/w her and Fuentes over essentially the same audience was hilarious. On a larger scale, I do think it tragic that a lot of mainstream conservative organizations, including TPUSA, have been infiltrated by antisemites, and bitten off a significant percentage of the conservative electorate. In fact, I daresay that could have been one of the reasons Tuesday was a drubbing for Republicans

I guess, somebody who has been raised and brainwashed as a letist (or muslim) will be quite difficult to change his/her way of thinking and view after claiming he/she has converted to a conservative (or Christian). The way of thinking is very different. Especially for someone who converts for convenient, trying to find a better way of life, so he/she does not think the old way is wrong, only the new way is better.
    Owens is an example. Another example I found a muslim who converts to Christianity, but he keeps lying and defending Islam the same way Islamists do, i.e. lying and slandering.

  8. Well, as a female, i could say a lot to this. I am not a fan of the idea that “women are better than men,” Case in point, “if i feel.it, it’s true”, is a quite female thought fallacy. Candace Owens wreaks of this fallacy, she displays NO FACTS, just feelings and inuendos. I bet her base is mostly females who live and thrive on the same fallacies. As for Tucker Carlson, he is. $50 million opportunist. If you look back at his public journey, that is all he has ever been, he is a psychopath.out for his own pocket, not caring who he steps on along the way. It is a challenge not to wish these both would disappear. Their desire to destroy Israel, is destroying our society in the process, but who gives a crap, it’s all about gathering wealth to survive with your security team as your shield nowadays.

It’s not a laughing matter: throughout the last two thousand plus years folks have lied about Jews being involved in conspiracies usually against Christians, such as Jews poisoning the water or baking the blood of Christian children to make matzoh. These lies, called blood libels, often led to riots, lynch mobs and pogroms murdering innocent Jews. Similarly this is happening today, where lies about Jews, and lies about Israel and Zionists are likewise resulting in attacks on Jews. Candace knows that her lies and attacks on Jews incite violence against Jews and is therefore an accessory to those criminal attacks which have even led to murder. I view Candace Owens as a willing accomplice to murder.

  10. I think Candace Owens is definitely mentally ill and maybe evil, i.e. mad and bad, not just mad.
    I haven’t had a lot to do with very mentally ill people but she reminds me those I have had dealings with.
    She has followers and her views will reinforce existing antisemitic opinions.
    Have she and Tucker Carlson been bought or just support ideas that reinforce their existing views?

  11. Ms. Owens certainly appears to have a few screws loose. When she was with Turning Point, I admired her greatly, but over the years that enthusiasm has diminished and finally disappeared. Yes, there are some of her positions with which I agree, but the radical comments she now utters seem driven by an overwhelming need to remain in the limelight. Anti-Semitism is a behavior with which I draw a clear line. To dislike a particular Jew is one thing. To condemn an entire race of remarkable achievers is intolerable.

      Not so much the popes, but Catholic rulers down the ages – Holy Roman Empire, Spain, France, England (before the Reformation, under King Edward I), and so on. It was Protestant Europe, like Holland, that became more tolerant of Jews
