In an interview with Beirut-based journalist Laith Marouf, American activist Calla Walsh, co-founder of Unity of Fields (formerly the U.S. branch of Palestine Action, proscribed as a terrorist group by the U.K.), called the United States “the most violent genocidal empire that has ever existed in the history of the world.” She questioned why “there weren’t 100 more Elias Rodriguezes [who murdered two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington D.C.], why there weren’t 10 of us able to evacuate him and take out more Zionist diplomats.” Walsh noted that Iranian TV responded to the attack by claiming that “100 Yahya Sinwars were born in the United States.”

Citing an article by Beirut-based Canadian PFLP leader Khaled Barakat, she stated that Zionists have made the entire world a battlefield and that “resistance” anywhere is “justified and necessary.” Walsh added that participation in resistance does not require travel to Palestine and can be carried out in the U.S. as well. Calla Walsh: “We’re in the U.S., in the 21st century, in the most violent, genocidal empire that has ever existed in the history of the world.

“You know, on Iranian TV we hear newscasters saying that Yahya Sinwars are being born in the United States, and that this was a martyrdom operation. Khaled Barakat [Beirut-based Canadian PFLP leader] wrote an amazing article contextualizing Elias’s actions in the history of external operations in the Palestinian revolution. And that the Zionists and the imperialists have made the entire world a battlefield and therefore we have to be behind enemy lines everywhere.

“And that resistance anywhere in this world is justified and necessary. And you don’t have to go to Palestine to take part in resistance. If you live in the U.S., you can do it right there, and that’s exactly what Elias did.”

She has everything about as ass-backwards as one could get and this is instructive in miniature how the best of mankind must never take things for granted, that nothing is guaranteed, because ignorance lurks around every corner, generation in and generation out.

It is stupid, ignorant, and false calling the United States the most violent genocidal nation in the history of the world. She must know nothing about Adolph Hitler and Nazi Germany with over 6 million Jewish people put to death. She must know nothing about Joseph Stalin and the old Soviet Union with millions more sent to Siberia to worked to death and die. She must know nothing about Mao Tse Dung and communist china with millions more dead.

  5. What a dope, all of 21. She grew up in Cambridge, Mass. She attended Shady Hill School, Winsor School, and McGill — three schools with which I am familiar. They are much of a muchness At Shady Hill you don’t call teachers teachers. You call them “gradeheads.” Her father, who teaches writing at BU, was a friend and admirer of Saul Bellow, whose ghost must be writhing in agony at Calla Walsh’s call to murder Jews.

    Is there no law to punish someone who calls for ethnically-based mass murder? If there isn’t, then please, dear Congress, pass such a law and be quick about it.

    THAT, my dear, would be the Empire of Islam: with an estimated death toll running into the hundreds of millions, most of those murders being inflicted during a period of human history when the total human population on planet earth was a LOT smaller than it is today. The most recent Islam-inspired genocides were in Darfur in the Sudan and the Turkish Muslim genocide (aided and abetted by Muslims of other ethnicities, eg Arabs) of the Christian Armenians, most of whom were wiped out, starting in the late 19th century with the worst orgies of sadistic mass-murder, rapes, forcible seizure and ‘conversion’ of minor children, etc, between 1915 and 1917. (The Turkish Muslim mass murders of indigenous Bulgarian Christians, during the 19th century, were also horrendous, resulting in mountains of corpses, burned churches, etc., and were accompanied by sadistic gang-rape/torture-murders of women and girls, very similar to what were carried out in the assault on southern Israel on 7 October 2023).

    But all the way back to the 7th century allahu-akbaring Muslims have been murdering people wholesale on three continents – Europe, Asia, Africa – and destroying cultures and whole civilisations. The death toll in India, attacked and invaded by Muslims in the 8th century, and cruelly ruled and oppressed, until the 18th? – millions upon millions. Similarly in Africa: scores of millions murdered, millions enslaved… somebody describe to this idiot girl the descriptions of young black african men seized and castrated by ARAB MUSLIM slave-raiders – by the slashing off of all external genitalia; most did not survive the procedure; those that did became the black eunuchs in the harems.

    This vicious child would not even exist, had the victories at Tours, at Malta, at Lepanto, and at Vienna in 1683, not occurred… There would have been no ‘enlightenment’, NONE of the scientific advances of the past 400 years or so. She is spitting on the civilisation to which she owes her existence, and admiring the vicious thugs that, if they had prevailed completely, would have stifled all art, all music, all rational thought.

    Somebody drop her off in West Papua where its indigenous non-Malay non-Muslim peoples are being oppressed and abused by Indonesian Muslim imperialists. Or maybe the Nuba Mountains in the Sudan, where the indigenous non-Muslim tribespeople are being steadily wiped out by MUSLIM imperialists. Or perhaps drop her in a Christian village in middle-belt Nigeria; where she can watch and applaud the ‘resistance’ to ‘imperialism’ as the Muslims charge in to mass-murder defenceless *indigenous Nigerian* Christians…

Orthodox Islam divides the whole of humanity, the whole of the planet, into two halves: Dar al Islam (where Muslim Arabist imperialists already reign supreme, having crushed or completely erased a slew of civilisations, cultures and languages – Egypt was never Arabic, it was Coptic; Muslims suppressed the Coptic language by violent cruelty) and.. Dar Al Harb, the ‘region of war’, that must be warred against until every person currently non-Islamic has been converted to Islam, or is dead, or reduced to exploited and despised near-slave dhimmi non-persons.     Is she *really* just ignorant? If she was naively nattering on about a peaceful two-state solution I might well accept that–but she is happily talking about *murdering diplomats*, so I think this is a lot uglier than that.

  14. The left wants so badly to find a cause but most all of the good right and just causes have already been addressed in the West. With the difficulty in finding a good right and just cause they have been reduced to supporting the blood lust cause. Back in the day you would hear the cause people say things like, Make Love, Not War, Give Peace a Chance, All You Need is Love, I Am a Man, etc etc. That has all changed in to kill kill kill!

We would not know nearly so much about the threat of Muslims and their sympathizers were it not for members of MEMRI attending events, filming and recording them–no doubt often at considerable personal risk–and then translating them where necessary; from Arabic, Farsi, Somali, and other Islamic languages.
