Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist who dislikes capitalism and hates the Jewish state, and is the mayor-elect of New York City, asked for a meeting with Donald Trump. At that point, Trump should have politely declined to invite him, and suggested instead that in the next few months, after Mamdani assumes office, they could meet in New York, perhaps at the Trump Towers. By inviting him to the White House, and then having their meeting in the Oval Office televised, Trump has boosted Mamdani’s national visibility, his perceived importance, and his political clout.
Things got worse when Mamdani was shown standing over Trump in the Oval Office, where he proceeded to lecture Trump, accusing Israel of committing “genocide” and the United States of “funding genocide.” Trump said nothing to this double calumny, apparently unable to defend either the Jewish state or his own country. More on this meeting, which for Mamdani was not at all a “trip to Canossa,” but, rather, as if he had come “to ride in triumph through Persepolis,” can be found here: “Mamdani accuses US of funding genocide by Israel during warm meeting with Trump,” by Luke Tress and Jacob Magid, Times of Israel, November 21, 2025:
US President Donald Trump says that he and visiting New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani did not discuss during their White House meeting the latter’s pledge to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he came to the Big Apple.
Standing next to Trump in the Oval Office after their private meeting, Mamdani tells reporters that when he spoke to New Yorkers who supported both Trump and him, the two main reasons given were a desire to “end forever wars” and an “end to the taxpayer dollars we had funding violations of human rights” along with the rising cost of living in the city.
Trump says he has no problem with sharing voters with Mamdani.
Asked about the Middle East, Trump reiterates that the US is pushing for the “total disarmament of Hamas.”
He also says Hezbollah remains a “problem,” but that the US is working with Lebanon to address it.
A reporter claims Mamdani has accused the US of committing a genocide in Gaza. The mayor-elect clarifies that he has “spoken about the Israeli government committing genocide and I’ve spoken about our government funding it.”
“I shared with the president in our meeting about the concern that many New Yorkers have of wanting their tax dollars to go toward the benefit of New Yorkers and their ability to afford basic dignity,” Mamdani says in response to a question. “There’s a desperate need not only for the following of human rights but also the following through on the promises we’ve made New Yorkers.”
“I appreciate all efforts toward peace,” he adds. We’re tired of seeing our tax dollars fund endless wars, and I also believe that we have to follow through on the international human rights, and I know that still today those are being violated, and that continues to be work that has to be done, no matter where we’re speaking of.”
Trump does not comment on the matter, beyond noting that he and Mamdani feel “very strongly about peace in the Middle East.”…
Trump is asked about New York Rep. Elise Stefanik’s accusation that Mamdani is a jihadist, and whether Trump agrees with that characterization.
“No, I don’t, but she’s out there campaigning and you say things sometimes during a campaign,” Trump responds. “I met with a man who’s a very rational person.”
As the meeting wraps up, Mamdani is asked about a caustic protest outside a New York City synagogue this week.
“I care very deeply about Jewish safety and I look very forward to rooting out antisemitism across the five boroughs and every New Yorker who calls the city home,” he says….
Remember, this is the man who refuses to condemn the murderous antisemitic call to “globalize the Intifada.”
“I met with a man who is a very rational person,” Trump says of Mamdani. “I’ll be cheering for him.”
“We’ve just had a great meeting, a really good, very productive meeting. One thing in common, we want this city of ours that we love to do very well. And I wanted to congratulate the mayor,” Trump tells reporters.
Trump enthused on the “great meeting” he had had with Mamdani, who had accused Trump to his face of “funding genocide.” “I met with a man who is a very rational person.” That is certainly true, Mamdani is very rational and very calculating, unlike the mercurial seat-of-the-pants Donald Trump.
And Trump summed up what he called “a great meeting” as a “really good, very productive meeting. I’ll be cheering for him.” He’ll be cheering for this implacable enemy of Israel, this malevolent creature who just accused Trump’s administration of “funding genocide,” this hater of capitalism.
What should Trump have done? He should first of all have had Mamdani not standing over him, but given him a chair while Trump was seated in a higher chair just in front of the fireplace. The optics matter. When Mamdani accused Israel of “genocide” — “I’ve spoken about the Israeli government committing genocide and about our government funding it” — Trump should have immediately responded that “No, Zohran, you’ve got it all wrong. The Israelis have been doing their best to minimize civilian casualties. Surely, Zohran, you know that the IDF has dropped millions of leaflets, sent millions of text messages, and made millions of robocalls to warn civilians away from areas, and neighborhoods, about to be targeted. They have not been committing genocide. And as for your claim that our government has been “funding genocide,” that too is simply false.”
But instead, Trump remained silent.
A disgraceful performance by Trump, and a victory for the smooth-talking jihadist, Zohran Mamdani.

Some folks think Trumo was being clever. I for one agree 100% with this article and The Times if Israel. Trump acted like a simp. His behavior is what I thought would be more indicative of Harris than Trump. Zoran has Donnie’s number: Flattery will get you everywhere with Trump. But at what cost? This time unlike with Putin the stakes are too high. The Trojan horse has already landed.
Karen Dowden says
I agree with you. This was not a meeting for tact, as many seem to think. Trump has to stop wanting to appear nice to blatant enemies. I am very disappointed.
Deano says
Time will tell on the affects of this meeting as usual. I think the servant was always required to stand before the king so Trump sitting and Mamdani standing could be seen as subservient or domineering depending on your POV. But one is but a mayor, even of the largest city of the US and the other the leader of the free world. I have little doubt in my mind who the top dog is here. Mamdani has much more to worry about now with his base as he treated Trump with respect unlike Zelensky who Trump properly reminded had “no cards” to play in the war with Russia. Too many on the left and right don’t give Trump enough credit for his understanding of the world and human nature.
Mindy says
I agree with you. Trump has a serious weakness, it’s a lack of discernment and it has caused this nation and himself grief on more then one occasion.

How many times have the jewish people been sold out? Let me count the ways. I am appalled by this news. The siege of a synagogue and the fact that a mob was allowed to terrorize, bully and force their hateful agenda on other human beings who are jewish was implicitly condoned by this Mamdani, his false moral equivalence, and by his silence and praise of this jihadist our President as well is simply reprehensible. It has to be about the arab$$$$.
Jim says
My respect of the President is not what it was three weeks ago.
Brent Horton says
I disagree. The President is trying his very best here to use Diplomacy with a Monster. President Trump just gave this Islamic Communist an entire coil of rope. Wil Bumdami hang himself with that very same rope? Probably, but that’s just it. The President gave him every confidence, every chance to do great things for NYC.
Failure will lay where it belongs, and this is the actions of strategy, and genius.
gravenimage says
Caving to Muslim antisemites who advocate Jihad terror–including 9/11–is not “genius” in any way I can see.
Brent says
I stand by my ” coil of rope ” Friend. The President held out his arms in co-operation and diplomacy for all the Global Liberals to see. Scamdani, just like Sadink Khanjob, the Mayor of Islamic London, will try to turn NYC into an Islamist, Socialist, ____-hole. I estimate six months, to one year. There is a difference though; In America, we have a President who will drop the hammer! In the UK? They have a Prime Minister who drops to his knees.
Just watch Friend…………………….
OLD GUY says
I for one pray and hope your thoughts on this are correct. I just hope he doesn’t wait too long before he drops the hammer.
Brent Horton says
I couldn’t agree more Friend.
Don Ameeche says
Agree with you 100% ravenimge !!
Brent Horton says
It amazes me on how many on this forum, don’t see the oak in the forest. We all know what Scamdami is, what he stands for, and what he will do to NYC. None of us know what the President said to this Commie Tool behind closed doors either. Do we? So, consider this;
You publicly treat the Commie Jihadist with nothing but respect, and endless overtures of support, in front of the Global MSM. Pass an entire coil of rope to same said Commie, and gift-wrap it. Do any of you on here actually think Zoron the Moron will do right by NYC? Have you not looked at his supporters? Who funded him? Who backs him? And who praises him?
Did you see what I saw, when Scumdani was standing next to the President? Did you notice the lack of confidence? Did you notice how uncomfortable he was? Did you notice the look on his face, like he just peeked inside the Gates of Hell?
Sit back, relax, and get ready for the big HAMMER. I give the Commie six months to a year………………..
Karen Dowden says
No I do not agree. He should have done as this article says. In a ‘sarcastic’ manner. He should have laid it on harsh and direct!
Wellington says
Not sure High Fitzgerald is correct here. Trump “elevated” Mamdani to being the face of the Democratic Party, for all America to see what has happened to this party. Besides, Trump can turn on the guy when he feels the need to. Could prove shrewd in the long run. Time will tell.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
I agree. Also, by letting Mamdani just rattle things off unchallenged, he showed the entire country what he is, and also made him the default face of the Democrat Party. That may not harm them in deep blue states (I think it’s high time we swap the “red” and “blue” monikers of Republicans and Dems: everywhere else in the world, the Leftist parties are red and the Rightist ones blue), but even in purple states, Dems would have to disavow Mamdani if they wanna be elected
I do think, however, that Trump should have told him that Mamdani doesn’t have the jurisdiction to arrest foreign leaders in New York, and that that’s a Federal call. Neither Netanyahu nor Putin – both of whom Mamdani has threatened to arrest – can be arrested there, since none of these countries are signatories to the ICC
Wellington says
One other thing, Infidel, that I think Trump accomplished and that is that Mamdani meeting with Trump most certainly irritated at least part of Mamdani’s base which want absolutely nothing to do with Trump, hating him as they do. So, Trump sowed division here I believe with very little effort.
BTW, I agree with you about the red/blue dynamic. Never made sense to me the way it is here in America.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Yep, I overlooked that

It’s worse. Trump or even pam Bondi could have and still could deport mamdani back to Uganda for fraud in the naturalization process. Trump can at any time honor the legal extradition request by the Hungarian govt to send nazi war criminal Soros for trial in Budapest. Trump could have pardoned Julian assange whose work played a role in trumps 2016 election win.
By examination of hundreds of events, I conclude that trump made a deal with the devil, sold his soul. No more 1001 excuses that trump just doesn’t know.
At the least, trump is a bought agent of Qatar. He was promoting mamdani like that fine young head chopper jolani trump knows he is fueling in Nov 2026 midterm elections a massive Islamic sweep into political office of more mamdani types.
America has trump like Israel has ehud Barak, both Islamic agents..whatever trump was, this is not the wam trump now.
I pray trump goes away soon as possible but with Vance it could even get worse.
James Lincoln says
Stive,
If you don’t like Trump / Vance, then who would you prefer to run the country?
Brent Horton says
I would add this to our Friend’s valid point James. President Trump didn’t have his ” Pillars of Hercules ” during his first term. The President had ” rats ” under the floorboards, and ” bats ” in the Belfry though, and they all betrayed him.
In order to achieve those goals however, you need to build an ” Airtight Case “. I guarantee that is ongoing.
The ” Swamp ” is real, and it is Global. Just look at the Quagmire North of the Border, called Canada.

When the dam snake got married, he could have done so in NYC and the various vendors…flowers, food, etc. there would have profited.
It slithered into the Oval in order to accuse, but he is also after Trump for money to *fund* free bus rides, which will take riders out of the subway system (along with the money they spent on riding) and for his grocery stores so the many….80 thousand muzzies…can buy cheap, and the other *free* things he promised.
While there to beg for more taxpayer money, he did what all muzzies do…. he lied about Israel.
Can one say that Trump didn’t *dignify* the lies with responses?
The snake got a lot of exposure by a visit with the president. Perhaps more of the public can now see just what a thug, a slug, a snake will soon be running NYC on behalf of islime.

Those tree words, in part of this article’s title “Smooth –talking Mamdani.”
Zohran Mamdani sure is a truly gifted speaker, the problem is that he uses his oratory skills for beguilement, and deception it’s very understandable that his spoken balderdash can fool the shallow and simple- minded politically correct people of the left, but that the very intelligent. President Trump can be swayed by Mamdani in any way is rather odd.
For example, President Trump should have seen through Mamdani lying words, let’s hope really, he did when Mamdani “I care very deeply about Jewish safety and I look very forward to rooting out antisemitism across the five boroughs and every New Yorker who calls the city home,”
For earlier that future New York City mayor had said that “Israel should not exist.” Likewise, he that wanted to “Globalize the Intifada “To this very day he has not denounced or retracted that statement.
There’s a saying which is “Give the Devil his due.” Therefore, is one thing may, truly, be said about Zohran Mamdani, which is that he is very good with words when he engages in Taqiyya.

The former United States President, William Howard Taft had in a speech, rightly and wisely, declared, “Anti-Semitism is a noxious weed, that should be cut out. It has no place in America.”
Likewise, there should be no place in the White House with President Trump or the Office of mayor in New York City mush less in America for Zohran Mamdani.
Walter Sieruk says
Another Keyboarding mistake on my part .The above should have ended with the words “much less in America…”
In addition, President Trump really should know better then to take any peaceful empty disingenuous words of Zohran Mamdani.,at face value .
President Trump must need to remember that a liar Zohran Mamdani. is. To put it in another way, ,if Mamdani. would tell Donald Trump that’ It’s raining outside.”,the President then should out of the window before believing him.

It would have been fun to watch Trump squash Mamdani like the bug he is. We’ve seen him handle opponents and it is fun to watch. I don’t think this is the situation for that tactic.
My tendency is to view this as you do. When you have more power than your opponent you can appear magnanimous, maybe even harmless. Appear like a reasonable, well meaning President who just wants what’s best for everyone involved.
It angers the Left, disappoints the MSM, and Mamdani’s base can’t be pleased.
Wish the little guy well, let him talk and say all his stupid statements. After all, we’re all Americans here.
What matters is what Federal actions Trump takes once Mamdani is in office and his policies are pursued.
