The criticism Gill faces is coming from leftists and Islamic supremacists. Yet unless the West is willing to surrender to the red-green axis, the truth must be told: church bells are very different from the supremacist, loud, in-your-face Islamic call to prayer, which proclaims that “there is no God but Allah” and that “Allah is the greatest” (Allahu akbar):

Infidel, I can truthfully say that I personally do not have a ‘favorable view’ of any certain group so that I can’t find fault in individuals of said group. I’m White, American, and attempt to follow Christ. But, there are Whites, Americans and some who claim to be Christian I would not befriend, nor would I defend their actions and attitudes.
Anyone anywhere is free to feel the same. Of course, I didn’t write the rules. So, others might condemn her for her feelings.
And the U.K. probably doesn’t want hasan, either.

You got to wonder what Mehdi Hasan is actually implying here. This seems less like a factual statement than an outright blanket condemnation of all non-muslim people of Indian descent, including Indian Christians, Hindus, Jains, Parsis, Sikhs and Buddhists, and such. Simply based on the fact that their parents or grandparents once held Indian nationality.
A strange kind of knee-jerk muslim reaction, if you ask me. Is this guy rooting for countries like Pakistan or Bangladesh ? Non-muslims are continuously under siege there.
This has a whiff of anti-non-muslim racism all over it.
