Article V protection and military training to the state sponsors of Islamic terror.
What do you get if you back an Islamic terrorist group that launches a regional war?
If you’re Qatar, you get Article V protection, normally allotted only to NATO allies, that declares the United States has to respond to any attack on the Islamic terror state which harbored the mastermind of 9/11.
On top of that Qatar, a tiny slave state with a small military, gets to sign a high-profile agreement to have its pilots trained on a US Air Force base right here.
Turkey, fresh off putting its Al Qaeda terrorist in charge of Syria, just signed a nuclear cooperation agreement with the United States. Considering its role in Islamic terrorism, that doesn’t seem as if it will end well either.
The timing of these obvious payoffs connects it to the Hamas ‘peace deal’ that the Islamic terror group is already violating.
Hamas has made it clear that it will not disarm. As I predicted, it’s rebranding its terrorists as ‘police officers’ and beginning a purge of anyone in Gaza it accuses of cooperating with Israel.
200 US troops are on the way to the region. Reportedly they’ll be ‘monitoring’ the ceasefire from inside Israel without entering Gaza. But either way, we’re getting more and more involved, and providing military benefits to Islamic terrorist states for getting the terrorists to sign on the dotted line of a ceasefire they keep saying they won’t abide by.
Hamas keeps insisting that it will go on to fight and destroy Israel. If so, what is all this even for? And why are we providing benefits to Qatar which promised it could get us a deal in exchange for everything it’s getting before Hamas even keeps its part of the deal?
Qatar played us with the Taliban in Afghanistan. Now it’s playing us all over again.

Sorry, should have included ‘it’s’ (Qatar) ‘its pilots trained on a US Air Force base right here.’,yes, insanity they are allowing this

I wonder who in the Trump Administration knows a lot about Islam and its “goals.” Maybe JD Vance? Maybe nobody? Not sure.
Peacelover says
+ yeah,I’ve wondered the same Often.

With Trump saying things like ‘Dawn of a new Mideast’ really makes you wonder.

Just the fact that he says “peace” as if one can have “peace” with muzzies says a heck of a lot .
and I hate ai attempting to finish my sentences for me. Perhaps ai is partly responsible for the whole messed up world and the hurtle toward destruction.
PMK says
A lot of them probably know, but they will turn a blind eye to reality, all for the sake of a deal. It’s short term gain rather than long term pain. Facing up to the truth about Islam is impossible, even for the people that should know better. Trump referred to it today, in Israel, as one of the three ‘Abrahamic religions’. That’s their story and their sticking to it.

I like many things about Vance, but he does not seem to know much about Islam–even though he and his family have been targeted by Jihadists:

So, how is this Constitutionally legal? Article 2, Section 2, Clause 2 reads: “He (meaning the U.S. President) shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senate present concur;”
So when did the Senate vote on this? Is it not a TREATY? If not, than what is it. NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Origination) is a TREATY.
Sorry Mr President, but you over stepped your authority if this article is true! Yes I voted for you 5 times.
An Article V (5) type of TREATY will mean our military will be protecting a nation that has in the recent past (just last month) harbored TERRORIST within their nation and in their governmental halls. They had Hamass leadership members in their halls of government speaking with the leaders of Qatar..
So, if Qatar decides to attack Israel with the F15’s we provided, and pilots we trained, will our military have to defend Qatar from a counter attack by Israel?
This is not good. Call you Senators at 1 (202) 224-3121. That number will connect you with the U.S. Capital operator. Be kind to them they work for a living like you do. Ask for your Senators by name or State. A Intern will answer. By kind to the Intern. They don’t know anything, they are there to take messages only. Express your feeling without getting upset. Righteous anger is good. But the tung is the hardest thing to control. Just ask them if this agreement is a TREATY or not. And if they say no, than ask then why not?
And just because your Senator is a Democrat does not mean that they don’t work for you as well.
Jerry says
Is this a TREATY with Qatar? If so, when did the U.S. Senate vote to give this “TREATY” and give it a 2/3rds concurrence? As per our U.S. Constitution Article 2, Section 2, Clause 2 requirements?
If it is not a TREATY like Article V (5) with NATO? Than how can President dedicate our troops to defend Qatar without it being a TREATY?
What happens if Qatar uses the 15s we sold them to attack Israel with U.S. trained pilots. And Israel than counter attacks? Will our troops be required to fight Israel on behalf of Qatar?
PMK says
The US is building a facility for training the Qatar pilots. The arrangement is not unusual. Pentagon officials noted that similar facilities have been set up for other allies for decades, and the Idaho base already hosts a fighter squadron from Singapore.

Excellent article, Mr. Greenfield.
And +💯 to all the above comments.

If reported correctly, with no other concessions by the Arab signatories, Steve Witkoff is a fool. What price do the Arab nations pay if the peace agreement is violated by Hamas? I don’t see any teeth in this agreement. Why no financial penalties for those breaking the agreement, paid out of a deposit by the Arab nations?

Back in 2015 and 2016 Idaho State University devised what they thought would be a great money-making scheme by entering into an agreement with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to accept as students the sons of some of their elite families. Now all kinds of mischief came out of this hare-brained scheme. Many of the “students” had hired non-Arab nationals to take the test of English is a foreign language in order to be eligible to enroll. Once here the students engaged in all kinds of academic fraud, including plagiarism, stealing keys to midterm and final exams as well as intimidation of faculty. Greedy landlords raised the price of their rents for these students and thereby made apartment rents too expensive for local Idaho students who withdrew from Idaho Idaho State university and went to other universities where rents would be cheap. then there was a great deal of conflict on campus because administration would not back up their faculty when instances of academic fraud became evident. Eventually, most of these students left Idaho State university claiming that they were subjects of unfair, discrimination, and those administrators who had cooked up the scheme ended up losing their jobs. And now Pete Hegseth, and the Qatari minister of defense agreed to start a similar program for Qatari Air Force pilots at Mountain Homo Air Force Base. In short in order to appease Qatar, our defense department is forcing Mountain Home Air Force Base to set up a program for training their pilots. Most of these pilots will be from the sons of the elite ruling classes of this jihadist slave-state. My late father was a United States Air Force instructor pilot and also Korean War veteran fighter pilot. At one time he had to train Iraqi Air Force pilots in the mid-1950s before they had their military coup that ended that training program. According to my father, these young men of elite families were spoiled, arrogant, and basically made poor students. By contrast when he had to teach Turkish Air Force pilots, he found that they were humble, hard-working, and much easier to teach. I think the main difference is that in the case of the Turkish military, they had adopted a professional army system that promoted their officers, not on the basis of family background, but more on the basis of merit and hard work. I think this entire scheme is more or less diplomatic pandering of Qatar and that it will fail as miserably as did the Idaho State university scheme.
If i recall correctly a Saudi junior officer at aome training program in one of our Southern military bases committed a terrorist act against his American trainers some years back.

Thanks for that grim story, SKA.
I’m sure there are similar stories. Ludicrously, CAIR has accused liberal UC Berkeley–my alma mater–of being “hostile” for sporadically attempting to protect Jewish students:

This whole peace deal reeks of Islamic deception, while President Trump plays the idiot American, heavily influenced by Muslims of the worst kind. The Qatar airport in Idaho, shows what an Islamic idiot President Trump is, which doesn’t say much for America’s future. Washington is being engulfed by terrorist Muslims and NO ONE has a clue.
Will we become another UK in the making? Who’s going to represent “We the People”?
Peacelover says
+ I never thought of Trump as an idiot although I do not like when he exaggerates and makes outlandish remarks and/or brags but I do agree with you about the Islamic deception thing and the questioning of the airport. Yeah,I noticed you said ‘Islamic idiot'{like the majority}.

It seems Rubio is more knowledgeable. But we don’t really know the sticks and carrots behind the scenes. In the Israeli Knesset, Trump did talk about civilization and those who want to be part of the new Middle East.
How those Muslim Brotherhood countries (Qatar and Turkey) comply remains to be seen.
Islam is known for short term agreement and long term deception.

What “New Middle East”? The Middle East is not becoming less Jihadist. Syria has just been taken over by Jihad terrorists, and Israel is still largely standing alone.

Our policy on Qatar is downright inane. I’d love for a country like Israel or maybe even India to attack Qatar, and challenge this “Article V” clause of protection. Qatar is doing during Trump what Pakistan used to do under Bush: play both sides of the war. While I’m happy for the hostages, it was disgusting to watch Trump at Sharm el Sheikh heaping lavish praise on both the al Thanis and Erdogan, and say that he prefers these bad actors to the good ones. I do think it was notable that the leaders of some of the countries, like Saudi Arabia and Emirates were absent. Some have called out Netanyahu for skipping this under the pretext of the Shava Torah, but it was also reported that had he been present, Erdogan as well as the Iraqi leader would have skipped this one
Also, the presence of Pakistan’s Sharief was just one more opportunity for Trump to screw Modi over: it’s payback time for the completely inappropriate support Modi gave to Biden

Hopefullly, the IDF is keeping track of who is where when Hamas violates the agreement with an omnicider attack or worse. Once such a thing happens, finish what Hamas started. Fatah also needs to be eliminated. To Islam, war is only deceit.🤕🤕🤕🤕
