The UK and other Western governments have put all their hopes in the “moderate Muslims” who supposedly form the vast majority of Muslims and will have no problem integrating into secular Western society. Umayr Mulla’s suspension and apology should make them think very carefully about the wisdom of their assumptions, but it won’t.

UK-based Imam Umayr Mulla was suspended from Masjid Khazra in Nottingham after stating he “had no issue with Israel,” and recognized Israelis’ history in the Middle East while appearing in an interview in Jerusalem with British anti-immigration campaigner Tommy Robinson last week.
“I have no issue with Israel, as long as people are living in peace, I believe both sides should have their own countries,” Mulla said. “The Palestinians should have their own safe space, where they can live freely without oppression or injustice. I think this is the solution for peace in the Middle East.”
Masjid Khazra released a statement apologizing for the imam’s “personal views that are deeply offensive and are wholly inconsistent with the values of our institute.”
“Our institute is founded on a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. We appreciate and respect all parts of the Muslim community and the wider community we serve, and we are dedicated to maintaining a respectful and supportive environment for pupils, staff, and families,” the mosque wrote.
In the interview, Mulla stated that Israel’s Muslim population wants to live without oppression or injustice, stating that historically, all religions lived in peace when Muslims ruled the region.
“As long as [non-Muslims] paid the Jizya tax, which is like a protection money. It’s no different from the taxes we pay in Britain,” Mulla said, adding that this wasn’t a form of oppression against non-Muslims….
Following his suspension, Mulla released a statement of apology, saying he “regret deeply the hurt my remarks have caused to the Kashmiri and Pakistani communities, to Palestinians, to my employers, family, friends, and to anyone beyond who was offended directly and indirectly.”
“My reference to any community was totally unacceptable. I retract it unequivocally and sincerely ask for forgiveness from those I have wronged. I am committed to learning from this,” he wrote.

He said the Jizya wasn’t oppressive, and he said all lived peacefully under Islam rule- both false and in major ways. For this he’s vilified by Islam and his mosque and then, he apologizes to them. He seems a gentle enough fellow, though incorrect about the cruelties of Islam upon others.

Just goes to show that freedom of speech under Islam is dangerous. Thats why the so called moderate muslims never speak out about the evil committed in Islam’s name. Or is it because they don’t see it as evil but as a duty of their so called religion.

The man clearly had real problems answering questions as a “moderate” Muslim while at the same time trying to portray Isalm as reasonable or rational.
He is then called to account by his “community” and must apologise.
This a perfect microcosm of the “moderate” Muslim claim.

My youngest son was beaten up by Muslim students and some other white students, white girls beat him as well for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time and not understanding what this all is.
It was a pro Hamas rally. A Hamas rally yes, that was happening at the school, he just didn’t look like he fit in as he passed by trying to get to a sports field. The white girls, they questioned him aggressively and then they waved the Muslims down to assault him. The cowardly girls only began hitting him once the Palestinians hounded him.
The school is run by Muslims and it was dismissed as “mutual combat”. And my ex wife was told “we should know what the ethical standards are here” , in other words, you must support Hamas at the school or you’re a racist genocider.
They all lied together and claimed my son went into a massive crowd like that to make people Israel statements, which is so not my kid. We know the demographics here and how they stick together, he’s got no chance. The school admin bought it hook line and sinker because they want to skew it to the other side.
Moral of the story, if your town gets 10 percent Muslims, sell your house. The good news for you is, Muslims have cash, and your home won’t plummet like when other groups move in.
