While the Socialist prime minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, condemns Israel for defending itself against Hamas, the people he is supposed to protect — the Spanish — are increasingly infuriated by the long waits they must endure for doctors’ visits and for surgical procedures, because Spanish health services are overwhelmed with the rise in illegal migrants, overwhelmingly Muslim, who require medical treatment and for inexplicable reasons, too often go to the head of the line. Spain’s public healthcare system is treating a growing number of undocumented migrants and displaced foreigners, despite Spaniards enduring increasingly longer waiting times for appointments and operations.
Figures released by Madrid’s Ministry of Health show that the Spanish capital alone has registered a 44 percent jump in patients without residency papers in the last year, while the Canary Islands have agreed to take in sick and wounded minors from Gaza at the request of the central government, despite its own residents having to wait an average of 122 days for surgery appointments.
A huge year-to-year increase — 44% — in illegals (“without residency papers” is a way to soften the description) just in the capital, Madrid, who have received medical treatment, must means that more of Spanish will have their own doctors’ appointments and surgical procedures subject to still more delay.
According to data published by El Confidencial, the Madrid Health Service (Sermas) provided medical care to 190,000 people in an irregular situation over the past year, compared with 134,000 the year before. The figure represents an increase of 60,000 patients in 12 months, as the region’s total population grew by about half a million….
All medical services in Spain have been cut so that more money can be spent on defense. Trump’s demand that other NATO members spend at least 5% of their GDP on defense was not applied to Spain, which only has to devote 2.1% of its GDP to defense. But this is still a considerable rise from what Spain had been spending in 2024 — a mere 1.28% of GDP. That extra amount is coming entirely out of the government spending on health care. Now Spain has cut that health care spending by 1.5 billion euros.
Meanwhile, the Canary Islands government — led in tandem by the Canary Coalition (CC) and the People’s Party (PP) — has announced it will immediately provide medical care to sick and injured children from Gaza, after receiving a request from Madrid. Spokesman Alfonso Cabello said the regional authorities were among the first to volunteer assistance. The transfer will be organized on a Defense Ministry aircraft, with the Ministry of Inclusion responsible for accommodation and social support once the children arrive….
Why is Spain — that is, the Canary Islands region — taking on the burden of treating “sick and injured children of Gaza”? Spain is hardly a rich country. But Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar are awash in trillions of unmerited dollars. Furthermore, the medical personnel in those countries all speak Arabic, and understand, because they share, the Arabic mentality, so taking care of Gazan children would not be difficult. Doesn’t it makes sense for the Spanish healthcare system, which is already so overtaxed that patients wait months for surgeries, to be used only by the Spanish?
How infuriating it must be for the Spanish people to see illegal migrants being treated by Spanish doctors, and cared for in Spanish hospitals, when the indigenous people of Spain have so much trouble receiving timely care themselves. And how maddening it must be to see the left-wing government of Pedro Sánchez, eager to show yet again that Gaza, subject to that so-called Israeli “genocide,” is foremost in its thoughts, by offering to treat Gazan children wounded in the war, in Spain, when it makes much more sense to let the fabulously rich Arab oil states care for fellow Arabs?

Muslims are the ones who get the head of the line. Listen to this. I asked a hospital administrator why this is happening. She give me some reasons but this one I will not forget. Her excuses was: well this Muslim he speaks Pashtun or Arabic, and there is an extra translator here for him, so since he needs a translator and the interpreter is here and is free, we can take him immediately…..
Yes… also the migrants Muslim are jumping the lines because here in Spain, to see a specialist, it works differently, you must be on a list. These Muslims go through a whole other system, that one is streamlined. And have ties to other many many things.
At my job, Muslims bring their family from other country here. MANY infirm , elderly and sick migrants are coming via family uniforms program. They want free care.
Some Muslims come and retire here and get disability but never worked one day in his life. He maybe here two years. Then he Takes the disability monthly payment and goes back home to Pakistan!!!!!! And he livestreams to make fun of us. And how he want to rapppe us…
