Abdul El-Sayed, an Arab Muslim leftist of Egyptian descent, is a Bernie Sanders affiliated leftist, a former Soros fellow, and keeps calling himself a doctor despite not being licensed to practice medicine. El-Sayed, now running for the Senate in Michigan, is demanding gun control for Americans.

It’s great that we get these condescending lectures from Rep. Ilhan Omar of Somalia or El-Sayed, from countries that are catastrophically broken, but acting as if they possess some morally superior wisdom.
Maybe Abdul El-Sayed can start by convincing his fellow Egyptian Muslims to stop shooting each other at weddings. Then he can come back and talk to us about ‘gun control’ and which Americans should be allowed to have guns and which shouldn’t.

Somehow, whenever the topic of gun rights come up, most people not just on the Left but in the Center assert that it’s only valid for hunting licenses. Actually, that’s a more cynical use of guns today, in an era that most of our meats are raised, not hunted (how often does one see deer or wild boars in restaurant menus?) People could have successfully defended themselves and their homes, and persecution, be it for political or religious purposes, would have been unheard of
Our “sacred cow”, as you sarcastically put it, has been amended several times in history. For something as major as this, they require either 2/3 majority in both houses, or a Constitutional Convention by 2/3rds of all states, or at least 34 states

Self-defense, self-preservation, are at the heart of the Second Amendment. Thomas Jefferson and the other guys back then, were fully aware that without a means of self-protection, the government could overrule the average citizen and take away all freedoms.
There are a lot of people in government positions….and each one has protection to some degree from the citizens who might wish to harm them. Also, from the non-citizens who might.
There are more citizens than politicians and if each one has just one gun, the pols are outnumbered.
That is by design. A man’s home is to be his castle. A woman’s too.
This muzzie from egypt should not be in the government as he wants to disallow what the Constitution guarantees to every citizen. He should lose and be told to return to his native nation and make MI and other U.S. citizens that much safer. He could take along his muzzie brethren. All of them.
