On the contrary, he said, both organizations have consistently declared that disarmament was never discussed during negotiations. He stated that their weapons will not be surrendered before the establishment of a Palestinian state. Al-Hindi said that the negotiations were conducted between the Americans and the Israelis, and that the mediators merely relayed information to Hamas and the resistance factions. He added that former U.S. President Donald Trump has been “negotiating with himself,” and that he does not understand the region’s history, beliefs, or culture. According to Al-Hindi, Trump does not care about the Palestinians, “all he cares about are deals and investments; some people are like that.”
Muhammad Al-Hindi: “Hamas and the resistance have not agreed to disarm. On the contrary, they declared before, during, and after the negotiations, that this issue had not been discussed at all, and that these weapons belong to the Palestinian people, and they will not be surrendered before there is a Palestinian state, and before the Palestinians can determine their fate by themselves. This issue will be discussed among the Palestinians themselves.

When I read Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan that were published in the media, I had a strange feeling that besides the release of the hostages all the other deals would never work and it seems that that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
Trump has no clue on the islamic ideology of Hamas and the PIJ…… it’s even written in Hamas’s Charter and Covenant.

Actually, Trump seems to understand their ideology better than most in D.C., but his method is to state how you’re going to do wonderful things, then if you fail to live up to that, you lose face. It’s a good technique most of the time. Hamas won’t care, but it puts the onus of living up to the agreement on Hamas, so they are the ones who will look bad when they break it. And that is to Israel’s benefit.
And remember that Trump already said that if Hamas doesn’t hold up their end, Israel will have free reign to do what they must. I don’t think he’d have said that if he beiieved Hamas could be trusted.
I think the real intent was to get the living hostages back, so that when (not if) Hamas resumed their wicked ways, Israel would be free of the need to preserve the hostages’ lives.

It seems to me that you are correct. Political deals have a lot of posture in them. It is sort of like positioning yourself in basketball. When misfortune falls on Gaza and Hamas, DJT can just tell the rest of the world to respect the wishes of the Gazans.
In the meantime, Hamas and the Families continue to chew on each other.

Claiming a “Peace Deal” was premature, not understanding Hamas was a monumental mistake/error, during a time of the Israeli war. If the hostages were released, Hamas got the better of the deal, maybe that’s all they wanted.
Now, it’s back to the war and a Trump/US involvement. Whatever the case, I believe Hamas MUST be wiped out to obtain lasting peace. However, as long as devout Arab Muslims, are allowed to remain, terrorism remains, a new terrorist organization can quickly develop. Can a terrorist organization like Hamas ever be disarmed?

You cannot eliminate islam. You cannot eliminate any religion. They die out over time when their adherents either find a new faith or dump religion entirely.
There’s NEVER been peace in the modern state of Israel and there never will be.
It’s not in the interest of the US to involve ourselves in Israel’s war with Hamas. You can make argument for aiding Israel in striking Iran or the Houthis for instance, as both pose actual threats to US national security. Hamas is Israel’s problem.

Made another mistake by making this so called peace deal, right away it failed when the first attack after signing was done and still nothing was done to truly end it.

Well, a few hours ago, Hamas attacked the IDF in Gaza, blatantly violating the ceasefire. The IDF has counterattacked. Trump’s dream of an “eternal peace” is farcical. Hamas will never disarm, and the jihad against Israel will never end. Will Trump now allow Israel to go full bore and finish off Hamas once and for all, with help, perhaps, from potential ad hoc allies – Muslim clans opposed to Hamas’s dominance? Frankly, I doubt it.
