Anti-Israel protesters in Berlin demand “unhindered access to humanitarian aid” for the people of Gaza. But that is exactly what the Israelis also want. They established, with American help, the Gazan Humanitarian Foundation, which ensures the delivery of massive amounts of humanitarian aid that can no longer be stolen by Hamas for its own members and for sale, at exorbitant prices, to Gazan civilians. Since mid-May the GNF has delivered 175 million meals to Gazans. It is Israel that is preventing Hamas operatives from stealing that aid, as it used to do.
It would be instructive to know what percentage of the protesters were Muslims, flexing their political muscles. 20,000? 40,000? Just how “German” was this protest? “Germany’s largest ever pro-Gaza protest: Up to 100,000 take to Berlin to call for end to ‘genocide,'” by Mathilda Heller, Jerusalem Post, September 29, 2025:
Left Party leader Ines Schwerdtner said, “What we have experienced today is impressive: More than 100,000 citizens have come to Berlin to show solidarity with Palestine – peacefully and vigorously.”
She expressed “solidarity with the people – in Palestine as well as in Israel – who oppose the extreme right-wing government.”
Schwerdtner repeats the claim that there were 100,000 protesters, a claim that the police have rejected And she vilifies the “extreme right-wing government” of Israel, but has not a word to say about Hamas as a terror group, determined to wipe out the Jewish state and expel or kill all of its Jewish inhabitants. Are those “right-wingers” — Bezalel Smotrich, and Itamar Ben-Gvir — really worse than the mass murderers of Hamas?
German Jewish musician Michael Barenbom also spoke. He claimed Israel’s “genocidal intent has been visible to the whole world,” and accused Germany of “having made the genocide possible in the first place through the continued support of Israel.”
This is preposterous. What “genocidal intent” by Israel “has been visible to the whole world”? Michael Barenboim is the far-left son of pianist Daniel Barenboim, who with the late Edward Said, the Palestinian-American academic propagandist for “Palestine,” founded the West-Eastern Divan, an orchestra with musicians from Israel and from all over the Middle East. The Divan is not just about music, but, impliedly, shows an example of “peaceful co-existence” that could be attained if only those stubborn Israelis would drop their objections to that “two-state solution.”
Clearly, there is work to be done in Germany if nearly two-thirds of Germans believe Israel is committing “genocide” in Gaza. Israeli spokesmen, and Israel’s German supporters, must go on the offensive, and repeatedly denounce this absurd charge, and not let it pass without comment anywhere. They must describe the effort — the leaflets, text messages, and robocalls — that the IDF makes to minimize civilian casualties, something that too many Israeli spokesmen unaccountably leave out of their responses. They need to point out that of the 66,000 Gazans that have been killed so far, according to Hamas, 26,000 of them were, according to the IDF, Hamas combatants, and another 19,200 Gazans died from non-combat related causes — accidents, diseases — over the 24 months of war, calculated on the basis of 800 such deaths a month in Gaza that were before the war began. That means the total civilian deaths in Gaza from the war amount to 20,800. That is far less than 1% of the population of 2.2 million in Gaza. Does that constitute “genocide”? The question has to be asked every time someone — Piers Morgan, Christiane Amanpour, Fareed Zakaria, and so many others — blithely refers to the “genocide in Gaza.”
Finally, these Berlin protesters chanting about “genocide” in Gaza should be informed that it is Hamas, not the IDF, that is trying to increase the number of civilian casualties. Hamas embeds its combatants and weapons among civilians, holding them as human hostages whose presence will often cause the IDF to call off an attack. No matter how infuriating it is to have to state what should be obvious, and how tiresome it is to have to answer the calumny about “genocide” with the truth, and in detail, about the numbers of combatants and non-combatants killed in Gaza, the task must be performed with grim determination, over and over again.

It should never be forgotten that Hamas started this current war of October 7th. 2023 when it had its Muslim terrorists invade Israel and engage in many of the most horrendous Islamic atrocities against the peaceful and unarmed Israeli citizens. The ones who should really have of war crime of genocide warrants out against them, for the genocide are the jihadist chiefs of Hamas and their Muslim terrorists murderous stooges The reason why this is so is twofold.

In The Netherlands there are a lot of people believing the lie that Israel is committing genocide in The Gaza Strip and in Judea Samaria , and that Israel is an apartheids-state . There have been two very large “Red Line” demonstrations organized by among others : Amnesty International ! , the 18th of may and the 15th of june . There were 100.000>150.000 participants in The Hague . Amnesty International organized a third Red Line Demonstration taking place in Amsterdam for tomorrow . The Dutch public state television called for action….. I hope the weather will be horrible , lots of rain , and storm..

But… EVERYONE says there is genocide by Israel in Gaza. Aside from going there, how can we convince people this is not correct? Christian churches are especially vulnerable to these lies because they do want to help innocent people caught in the middle of all this, no matter who they are. But they get the same “news” everyone else does, that only, always blames Israel. Never anything from the other side.
