  4. It’s a good thing to know that some members to have some “backbone” by being strong enough to want to , as that sign reads, “Ban Sharia Law” in America.

    For the United States has something far better than Sharia. This nation has the US Constitution, which is superior to Sharia that has its origin ancient pagan law.’

    If a Muslim living in the US wants to live under the bondage of Sharia ,then he can go to Saudi Arabia or Iran to live out the rest of his life.

  5. What a welcome headline, and not a minute too soon. I just encountered a group of muslims where they had no legal right to be, in a location that would have been unthinkable just a very short time ago and confronted them. I don’t think they have any willingness to accept that there’s anything in our law that binds them.

      • Thanks to both. When I encounter them in questionable circumstances, I always have a video reel running in the back of my mind of the violence I’ve seen them so quickly bring to the fore when confronted.

  7. Agree with the other comments here. Time for all of our leaders in government to step up and stand against Islam. I also believe the Qatar air force base is a bad idea. This would increase Islamic presence in U.S.

    • I’d rather have a Qatari base than endowed chairs of colleges sprinkled all over our country, influencing what our children are learning in the universities.

    • Agreed. No Qatari bases on US soil. We should all be very, very unrelentingly loud in objecting. If anyone knows of a credible org filing a lawsuit to stop this, please post so I can donate. I intend to continue letting Trump, Vance, and Hegseth hear about it.

  8. Sharia Law is already banned in the USA. Look at the First Amendment of the US Constitution. All that this is is political posturing.

    • The First Amendment *should* be enough. But Sharia *will* creep in if not explicitly barred. That you seem to be enraged that anyone is “postering” by actually taking a stand against brutal Sharia law is very odd.

    • It’s not! By recognizing islam as a legitimate religion, we implicitly recognize sharia law. It needs to be explicitly banned in writing

      Political posturing? In some states like Virginia and Michigan, the GOP is busy doing outreach to muslims, so these congressmen speaking out against islam are actually opposing the direction of the party. Being anti-islam should be a part of the GOP’s platform – but ain’t!

      • We need to stop using the bogus term sharia law.

        Sharia, the straight path, the embodiment of ISLAMIC law, includes wiping one’s butt with the left hand. If that even could be banned, or made illegal (which it can’t be), who will police that?

        Our elected representatives must reinforce, publicly and in writing, what is already known and obvious: acting out any and all religious practices which run afoul of U.S. law is a prosecutable offense.

        Call it sharia. Call it Islamic law. But let’s stop calling it sharia law.

    • Nice thought, but not reality; not banned. Freedom of religion as traditionally pursued in the US has already allowed muslims to take oaths of office on a book that calls for slaughter of unbelievers as well as many other appalling and illegal practices. We have a massive body of unconstitutional laws and regulations as it stands now. An explicit ban of islamic practices outside our law would simplify the legal process of dealing with islam immensely.

    Whole enclaves of considerable ever growing size now exist in UK towns & cities, where sharia patrols are active & where British police nmo longer have influence/authority. Sharia is the law.

  11. We can ban sharia law but the truth is most if not all of sharia law is already illegal in the USA. The muslims have no idea who they are dealing with when it comes to Americans, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, all the rules and regulations added since 1776, and the USA.

  15. We tried to pass three anti-Sharia and two anti-FGM bills in Maine over the past 15 years. They all failed. Tuberville might have a better chance in a Trump administration, but with all the Islamic apologists in Congress, I’m not optimistic he will be successful.

      May I encourage you to keep trying. Keep the issues alive. Fatigue and letting
      issues go silent only normalizes them. Even in the face of knowing you will lose.
      the point is to keep the issues at the forefront.

      In California there were 3 successful recalls of woke D A’s that took multiple,
      uphill battles, that I knew would never work – until they did. I couldn’t sign
      the petitions due to residency requirements, but I followed the organizations
      and was able to contribute funds.
      Some of the best money I ever spent.

  16. Regarding Sharia, it should be made known that the actual origin of Sharia. It had been revealed in a Time –Life book with the title MESOPOTAMIA: THE MIGHTY KINGS copyright 1995 ” For that future history book about the ancient pagan world of Mesopotamia informs the reader that “many Islamic laws resemble the Babylon and Assyrian forebears.” .page 150.

    Therefore Sharia is of pagan origin and therefore has no value or worth.

    Also, it’s very important for Americans to be aware of to those stealth jihad- minded Muslims politicians who are running for government office in the USA who attempt to have Sharia law enacted in this country. The United States had something that is far better than Sharia law. It’s the US Constitution. This is America, not Saudi Arabia or Iran.

    As the former US President, Theodore Roosevelt, had well-spoken when he declared in a speech “There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is only room here for only hundred percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”
