Of all the comments British politicians have made on the murders of Jews at a synagogue in Manchester, the best to my mind is that of the Tory leader Kemi Badenoch. You can find her statement here: “Kemi Badenoch says ‘we need to dial down the rhetoric’ after synagogue attack,” by Sophie Wingate, Independent, October 2, 2025:
Kemi Badenoch has called for rhetoric to be dialled down as she suggested attacks on the Jewish community like in Manchester are on the rise because of a disproportionate focus on Israel in the debate about foreign conflicts.
The Tory leader condemned the “disgusting and vile” car and knife assault outside a synagogue in Crumpsall, Greater Manchester, on Thursday.
She hit out at those who say Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and accused the Government of “far too much tolerance” of pro-Palestinian chants seen by many Jews as calls for violence against them and against Israel.
Ms Badenoch told the PA news agency: “I think the calls to globalise the Intifada have been disgraceful.
“We’ve seen people using those words on placards around Westminster.
“That’s what globalising the Intifada looks like. It means killing Jewish people.
“And I think there’s been far too much tolerance of a lot of rhetoric at many levels.
“People talking about a genocide in Israel, something that is not the case. This is the sort of action that comes when people feel justified in their actions.
“We do need to dial down the rhetoric.
“There is a very difficult situation in the Middle East. October 7 was an awful massacre. Many Palestinians are suffering because of the war.
“We want to see an end to that war and hostages brought home.”…
Kemi Badenoch has made the connection between these murders and the Israel-bashing over the war in Gaza more clearly than any of the other UK politicians. Since October 7, when Hamas’s atrocities took place and Israel entered a war it did not expect and did not want, much of the world has turned on Israel, which has been wrongly accused of “genocide.” Anti-Israel animus, now so widespread, creates an atmosphere where it seems acceptable to harm Jews. The blackening of Israel’s name has consequences.

Europe still has Jews? You would think that WW II would have taught the Jews a harsh lesson. It has been almost 2000 years since the betrayal of Jesus but still the Jews are excoriated. If they were smart, they would abandon Europe because they will never be tolerated there.Only Israel and the USA have shown tolerance for the Jews. The UK needs to rein in the Muslims there; they are the ones over the line.😠

One question: has Badenoch ever said a word about the genocide of Nigerian Christians by muslims? Or does she think that mentioning that country would undermine her English cred?
gravenimage says
Yes, she has, Infidel:
During a recent interview, Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch drew attention to the killing of Christians in Nigeria, stating it was an example of a foreign conflict that receives less global coverage than the Israeli-Palestinian war.

Good for her.

If you are looking to Africans for solutions you will be waiting until the end of time.

Yes.
They sure can’t sort out their own problems.
tgusa says
The UK didn’t have this problem when it was exclusively populated by indigenous British. The reason for this change is unclear /s.

As Andrew Wilkow points out, you can’t keep bringing an unlimited number of people from there to here w/o “here” becoming “there”
That said, Badenoch is more sensible than most of the English leaders of her own party. If none of the ethnic leaders in the party – Badenoch, Braverman, Priti Patel, et al were there, just those English leaders would have made that party even more Left

British by scam only. Sod off Kemi. Your traitor party over 14 years imported millions of the problems.
Eddie says
Kemi can say what she likes. I am not impressed.
Meaningless words like all politicians spout.
I am sick of hearing what foreigners are saying and the slant they put out on Britain and our way of life which was demonstrably better before they arrived.
Folk like her walk into my country with no background connection to it, been here five minutes and suddenly can tell us what to think and do. I resent this.
Don’t need them, don’t want them and it has nothing to due with skin pigmentation.
We were until recently a people with a settled ethnicity for over twelve hundred years.
She is an intelligent woman who should use that intelligence and political experience to bring desperately needed change in her native Nigeria.
Not long ago she said she identified herself as being of her specific
Nigerian tribe. The wind has changed in the UK . She now says she is British.
Of course I have a bad attitude and should be more tolerant.
But I won’t apologise for it. In Britain we have had enough of multicultural spin and for many of us our patience has run out.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Yeah, she could at least become the Prime Minister of Nigeria and reverse the genocide of Christians there. Maybe even grant Biafra its independence
