Women are objectified in Islam. This is enshrined in the Sharia. The Qur’an is explicit in how women are to be dressed: fully covered with only eyes showing; and even the eyes are partially veiled under the netted blue fabric of female Islamic coverings in Afghanistan:
And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only what is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment except to their own husbands or fathers or husbands’ fathers, or their sons or their husbands’ sons, or their brothers or their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack desire, or children who know nothing of women’s nakedness. And do not let them stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn to Allah together, O believers, so that you may succeed. (Quran 24:31)
If a woman does not cover, she is fair game to be assaulted….
O prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their veils close around them. That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not molested. Allah is always forgiving, merciful. (Quran 33:59).
Although Elina Valtonen “called Iranian state television’s decision to blur her legs during a broadcast of her UN meeting with Iran’s foreign minister a ‘sad’ reflection of women’s treatment in the country,” the Shia state of Iran is merely providing a public example of true Islamic doctrine. It is easier for politicians to identify the truth about a country such as Iran than to identify the truth about what makes that country what it is.

“Iran state TV slammed for censoring Finnish FM’s legs during UN meeting,” Iran International, September 28, 2025:
Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen called Iranian state television’s decision to blur her legs during a broadcast of her UN meeting with Iran’s foreign minister a “sad” reflection of women’s treatment in the country.
“My Swedish colleague sent me the video on Friday. My first reaction was that it was amusing. But I immediately added, ‘sad too’,” Valtonen told Helsingin Sanomat, Finland’s largest daily newspaper.
She added that she does not change her clothing based on who she is meeting and avoids events that require covering the face or hair.
Valtonen said she raises women’s rights in every meeting with Iranian officials, including this week’s talks.
Iranian state television blurred Valtonen’s legs in a news broadcast of her meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Sweden’s Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard’s legs were also blurred in the same broadcast. The footage was widely shared on social media, including by Iranian women’s rights activist and journalist Masih Alinejad.

Well, Iran’s men would be tempted more because they haven’t been socialized in the presence of normally-clad, non-family members. They would also be inclined to think of women as baby-makers and sexual objects due to the Quran-assigned inferior status of women.
Men normally think that the unknown female is more interesting than the mothers and sisters they grow up with when in reality mom and sister are, or will be, someone else’s fantasy(in Islam land, property?).
Many of us remember the girls from another high school, nn miles away, were more interesting than those of our own school and their boys thought similarly of our girls.
If anything, Islam’s visual separation of the sexes would lead to more sex slaves taken from conquests. The groomers in the UK should have made that obvious.
The hilarious part of Iran blurring out the foreign minister’s legs is not because of “temptation” rather, it was fear of criticism or punishment for displaying something outside of Islam’s rules. The censors probably viewed the original video a few times more than necessary.

Iran TV just saved the rape of many of their young and old women. Seeing a woman’s legs or hair creates such uncontrollable desire in muslim men that they can’t control themselves. And beings they are the perfect men it is the women fault they are so weak when it come to the WOMEN.

For me, this underlines the difference between either Judaism or Christianity, and Islam – because the God of the Bible (who is not identical with Allah) helps people to behave themselves, rather than blaming the victim if a sexual assault occurs.
