Paying little heed to the hostile goings-on at the U.N., the IDF in Gaza City continues manfully to dismantle Hamas — killing its combatants, seizing or destroying its weapons, blowing up its tunnels and tunnel shafts, and destroying high-rise buildings containing the terror group’s military infrastructure. It also killed one of most important Hamas terrorists, a Nukhba company commander, in an airstrike. The Israel Air Force killed Nukhba company commander Hasan Mahmoud Hasan Hussein in a strike in Gaza City on Sunday.
The IDF stated that Hussein also took part in abducting Israeli citizens on October 7, 2023, and the massacre of several Israeli civilians when he threw a grenade into a bomb shelter in Re’im, near Route 232.
As part of his role in the Bureij Battalion, he reportedly directed, led, and executed several terrorist attacks against IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip. Hussein acted alongside Muhammad Abu Atiwi. The two invaded Israel together on October 7, the IDF noted. Atiwi was killed in October 2024.
Separately, the IDF struck a high-rise building in Gaza City on Sunday, the military announced in an earlier statement.
The military reported that the building contained Hamas military infrastructure that was used to assist terror operations against IDF troops in the area.
“Prior to the strike, steps were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians as much as possible, including advanced warnings to the population, the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence,” the IDF stated. It added that Gaza’s terrorists regularly violate international law and exploit civilian structures to use the enclave’s civilian population as a human shield.
Later, the military announced that in the past weeks, troops of the 188th Armored Brigade and the 828th Brigade operating in Gaza City had killed dozens of terrorists, dismantled tunnel shafts and underground tunnel routes, and located concealed weapons in civilian areas….
Macron, Starmer, Carney, Albanese and their ilk can offer Hamas a reward by recognizing a non-existent Palestinian state, but the IDF in Gaza City marches on, paying them no never mind. It has managed so far to persuade 800,000 of the one million people in the city to leave for a safe zone at Al-Mawasi in the south — a feat that Western commentators thought would be impossible, suggesting that “at most,” a hundred or two hundred thousand people might be persuaded to leave Gaza City. The IDF has been destroying weapons depots, blowing up tunnels and destroying tunnel shafts, bombing high-rise buildings that Hamas had been using as command-and-control centers, and to gather intelligence on IDF solders as they maneuver on the ground. It has just reported killing a senior Nukhba commander. Hamas is on its last legs in its last redoubt.

If you’re going to fight a war, go hard or stay home.
Fighting half arsed in wars led to the situation in Korea, the communist takeover of Vietnam, the disaster that was Afghanistan, etc.
You have a victory target and you go until you reach that target, you don’t fight “not to lose”.
That tactic doesn’t work in the warfare surrogates that are organised team sports, it doesn’t work in real wars either.
Too many time the Israelis have pulled back under pressure from the “international community” when they have been on the brink of defining wins, it looks like this time they’ve taken those lessons to heart and are going for that full blown victory.
