Barely a week after the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas began on October 11, the terror group fired on IDF forces in Rafah, killing two officers, Major Yaniv Kula and St.-Sgt. Itay Yavetz.
In response, the IDF launched retaliatory strikes on Hamas fighters, weapons depots, and tunnels, hitting nearly twenty targets inside Gaza. More on Hamas’ violation of the ceasefire, and the much more devastating response by the IDF, can be found here: “Israel strikes Gaza and halts aid, accusing Hamas of attacks in gravest test of truce so far,” Reuters, October 19, 2025:
Israel launched a series of strikes in Gaza on Sunday and said it was halting aid into the enclave in response to attacks on its forces, the military said, in the most serious test yet of this month’s U.S.-brokered ceasefire.
Residents in Gaza and local health authorities said Israeli airstrikes and tank fire across the enclave killed at least 18 people, including at least one woman.
The Israeli military said it struck Hamas targets including a tunnel, weapons depots and its militants.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered the military to respond forcefully to what he described as Hamas’ violations of the ceasefire. The military said militants in the southern area of Rafah had launched an anti-tank missile and fired on its soldiers.
The armed wing of Hamas said it remained committed to the ceasefire agreement, was unaware of clashes in Rafah, and had not been in contact with groups there since March.
At first Prime Minister Netanyahu said he was halting aid indefinitely, but then he changed his mind and announced that aid would be resumed as soon as Hamas halted its own fire. But his other non-military response, shutting down the Rafah Crossing between Gaza and Egypt, will continue “until further notice.” Presumably, it will reopen only when all 28 of the dead Israelis are returned by Hamas to Israel.
Hamas wants us to believe that it had nothing to do with the firing from Rafah on Israeli troops. It claims it hadn’t hear about any clashes in Rafah and “had not been in contact with groups there “since March.” How plausible is that? Hamas’ forces are distributed throughout the Strip. Some of those combatants are laying low, but Hamas knows exactly where all of its fighters are located in the Strip, from Gaza City to Rafah, which among them are still capable of launching strikes on the IDF forces, and who has been so battered by the IDF that it can no longer engage in combat.
An Israeli security official said that the transfer of aid into Gaza has been halted until further notice, following what he described as Hamas’ blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement….
One day after the transfer of aid to Gaza had been halted, Israel changed its mind — no doubt keenly aware of how stopping all aid to Gaza would blacken Israel’s international image still further — and renewed the deliveries of aid to the Strip.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said the “yellow line” to where Israeli forces had pulled back under the ceasefire agreement would be physically marked and that any violation of the ceasefire or attempt to cross the line would be met with fire….
Anyone, and not just identifiably Hamas members, who crosses the yellow line in Gaza will be considered to be a threat and the IDF will instantly open fire. This is a new IDF policy. In the past, it was willing to take some Hamas members alive. Not any more.
On Saturday, Israel said the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt, which had been expected to be reopened this week, would remain closed and that its reopening would depend on Hamas fulfilling its obligations under the ceasefire.
Egypt, whose ruler General el-Sisi hates and fears the Muslim Brotherhood and its local representative in Gaza, Hamas, is probably not too upset that in again closing the Rafah Crossing, Israel has made in impossible for Hamas members to sneak into Egypt, where they would represent a threat to the regime.
Israel says Hamas is being too slow in handing over bodies of deceased hostages. Hamas last week released all 20 living hostages it had been holding and in the following days has handed over 12 of the 28 deceased captives.
The fact that each night Hamas releases one or two of the dead hostages, after its officials claimed it could not possibly find any more of them beyond the initial four corpses it released, suggests that Israel is right when it claims that Hamas knows exactly where many more of the 28 corpses are located, and that the IDF demands be released forthwith, ending this tortuous stillicide of corpses.
The group says it has no interest in keeping the bodies of remaining hostages and that special equipment is needed to recover corpses buried under rubble.
No, as long as Hamas has retained some of the bodies, it has something that Israel wants and, Hamas is hoping, the terror group may exact a higher price for the last 20 or so corpses, including the release of still more prisoners by Israel.
Israel’s counterattack on Hamas has now taught the terror group a lesson: Israel is no longer going to let any attack pass without retaliation, and that retaliation will be twenty times as deadly as the initial attack by Hamas.
It should now be clear that Hamas has no intention of disarming, not only because it wants to use its weapons against the hated Israelis, but also to protect itself from the half-dozen large clans in Gaza who have a score to settle with Hamas. If Hamas were to disarm, it could expect an immediate attack by the clans that have long harbored hate for Hamas, as for almost two decades, the terror group has trampled on their power and murdered their members.
Here are some of the largest clans that have fought Hamas:
There is the Doghmush clan in eastern Gaza City, located primarily in the neighborhoods of Al-Sabra and Tel al-Hawa. The Doghmush is one of the largest and most powerful clans in the Strip. Hamas has just been fighting the Doghmush, executing in public eight of its members, and killing another 24 in firefights.
There is the Hellis clan, the third-largest in Gaza, politically affiliated with Fatah, and based in Gaza City’s Shejaiya suburb, where it operates in open defiance of Hamas.
The Al-Majayda clan is based in Khan Younis, where its member have already clashed with Hamas.
The Abu Shabab clan is a Bedouin group based in eastern Rafah in southern Gaza. Its leader is Yasser Abu Shabab, a prominent anti-Hamas leader.
The Abu Werda clan fought Hamas forces in October 2025 near the Port of Gaza.
There are another half-dozen clans that haven’t been actively fighting Hamas, but if there were a collective uprising by the clans in Gaza against Hamas, they would join the other clans rather than sit on the sidelines.
Hamas will not willingly disarm. Terrific pressure needs to be exerted to force Hamas to give up its arms. It’s not Israel that most worries it. The IDF has agreed not to attack Hamas if it disarms and its leaders leave Gaza. It’s the clans. They are waiting for their chance to finally put paid to their terrorist tormentors. That’s why, right now, Hamas has been carrying out attacks on several clans, in order to weaken them as much as possible, just in case the terror group is forced by American and Arab threats to disarm.

Hamas will continue to engage in further jihadist violence and murder of the Jewish citizens of the State of Israel. This is because those disingenuous liars who the terrorist chefs swill not honor the terms of what “peace agreement” because they have no honor. The people who actually believed that that signature of the heads of Hamas on the “peace deal’ were very credulous to the most unwary extent as accepting the word of the top dogs as meaning anything shows that they lack the basic understand on the insidious lying vicious nature Hamas well as other likeminded jihad terror/murder entities.
Furthermore, person has to be hopefully unrealistic and even naively gullible to really believe that this Trump “peace deal” will create a genuine lasting peace in the Middle East. For the disingenuous and outright liars who are the chiefs of Hamas will only stay peaceful until they restore their weapons supplies in massive amounts , and then launch further murderous jihad attacks into Israel.
Moreover, some people call this hoax of a “deal” the “Trump peace plan.” It’s really more in keeping with reality to call it the “Trump armistice plan “or simply the “Trump truce deal.”
The reason why this is so because any kind of “deal “ with Hamas is , in essence,” making a “deal with the devil.” For the Muslims terrorists chiefs of Hamas can’t be trusted to keep they word or promise in anything that they say on sign in print. To put it in another way, the top dogs of Hamas are such liars that their signing their names on written peace agreement document isn’t worth the paper its printed on.
For they will only keep the terms of that “agreement” only as long as it would suite them and no longer. They will engage in the insidious the Islamic dogma called Taqiyya .This is the Islamic doctrine the deception is a good thing to do as long as it’s done for the advancement of Islam along with its violent and death inflicting jihad.
They will that so called “peace deal’ to stall for time while that Islamic regime of Iran resupplies Hamas with deadly weapons so that it will again launch jihad attacks into the State of Israel attempting to murder the citizens of Israel.

That hoax of a negotiated “peace deal” is foolishness and folly because it’s based on the false precept that the jihadist heads of Hamas can be trusted, maybe, to keep their word with the promises on the “peace agreement that they signed.

That “peace deal” is Hamas farce and an Islamic hoax. To explain it this way, there’s an old saying which is “It’s wise to have no dialogue with the Devil” that saying is based on the Bible’s story of Eve having conversion with Satan who was talking through a serpent , which ended in disaster.
Likewise, those negotiations for “peace a agreement “ with the jihadist chiefs of Hamas who are the sons of Satan will only end up treachery ,more Islamic terrorism disaster and death.
That so called “peace agreement” with those jihadist chiefs of the murderous jihad entity Hamas would agree for would be a hoax. Meaning nothing but a false and fake truce.
The reason why this is so is because such a “ceasefire” would really be agreed to in order to allow Hamas to restore its loses by using that for Iran to resupply it with deadly weapons provided to it by Iran.
Those jihadists would only keep the terms of a ceasefire only as long as it would site them and no longer .Then those Muslim terrorists of Hamas will then break the “truce” and then launch more jihad missile attacks murdering the peaceful civilians of the State of Israel.
Such false hopes for peace which are based on the foundation of lies are nothing new when it comes to Israel. For example, the Bible in Psalm 55:20, 21. Reads “Such men do violence to those at peace with them and break their promised word; their speech is smoother the butter but their thoughts are of war.” [N.E.B.]

What does the Jews in Israel think about the fact that armies from Egypt Turkey Azerbaidzhan and Al are going to be placed into Gazza to keep the peace? I bet they would tell you that this is worse than having good old Hamas in there. Look, israel needs to take full control of Gaza or they (israel) is finished. This is the most frightening and worst deal that this young country as ever faced, and personally I think it will be the end of them if it’s allowed to continue.

How could Trump not have known the point of your comment when he agreed to this “peace”deal? And Trump’s public admiration for Turkey’s Erdogan is bewildering.

For Israel, Azerbaijan, which is their ally against Iran, is the only real ally, given Israel’s misguided support for them against Armenia. Turkey is definitely an adversary, and Egypt, although armed to the teeth, doesn’t have any adversaries for land warfare. Libya, which was a thread in the 80s – Haftar, who Sisi supports, controls Cyrenaica and much of the Fezzan, and Sudan is in a civil war w/ neither side a threat to Cairo. So it’s questionable what sort of actual support Israel would get from Egypt

There are people who are actually blind because of eye injury, disease or structure.
Then, there are people who are mentally blind. Some because they *want* to be.
It was never going to be ‘peace’ because muzzies don’t want peace and they won’t work for it. They may promise, but their promises are like those where people cross their fingers behind their backs when promising, with the intent to not honor their own words.
Anyone who can’t see what hamas has been doing, and will continue to do, is mentally blind. The question is, do they want to be?

Yeah, it was only a matter of time. But now, Israel should perk up and finish the job of destroying Hamas, including massacring all the prisoners that they released. Stop listening to Trump, Witkoff, Kushner, Rubio, et al
Oh, and announce that annexing Judea, Samaria and Gaza is back on the agenda, in fact being brought to the frontburner
Patrick says
So where the hell is Trump, catering to Muslims on the home front. Per Witkoff and Kushner, all they conveyed was “let us kiss your ass” to Hamas. Trump is holding hands with Islamic terrorists. 🖕

While we know that the peace deal was one sided. Hamas never intended to stop its attacks on Israel. Since Hamas already broke the peace deal, Israel should clear Gaza and take full control of the area. And that should be done with the full support of America.

Hamas’ goal is to have more Gazans killed, so it’s no surprise that they will want to engage Israeli troops to have them return fire. They also want to keep the protests in Western countries alive.
