Arab Muslims, other Muslims, and Germans (no figures on the ethnic breakdown have been given) marched together in Berlin to protest against the nonexistent “genocide” that the IDF is supposedly carrying out in Gaza. Between 60,000 and 100,000 protesters took to the streets of Berlin in what is believed to be the largest ever pro-Gaza demonstration in Germany to date.
Among other things, the protesters on Saturday called for an end to the “genocide,” a stop to German arms supplies to Israel, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza. The demonstration ended in a solidarity event at the Victory Column, named “All Eyes on Gaza – Stop the Genocide,” which featured political speeches and musical contributions.
According to TAZ, protester rules were read out in Arabic and German before speeches were given at the Victory Column. Protesters were told it was forbidden to burn flags, propagate the destruction of Israel, spread hateful messages against ethnic groups, or display symbols, flags, or stickers of Hezbollah, the PFLP, and Islamist organizations.
Left Party leader Ines Schwerdtner said, “What we have experienced today is impressive: More than 100,000 citizens have come to Berlin to show solidarity with Palestine, peacefully and vigorously.”…
How is it that nearly two-thirds of Germans believe that Israel is guilty of genocide”? It is the fault of the meretricious media that endlessly presents pictures of Gazans forlornly walking through the rubble, or shows a grief-stricken mother lying across the body of a child swaddled in her winding sheet. It is the politicians who are fearful of Muslim and left-wing voters, so do not dare to state the truth: that there is no“genocide” in Gaza. It is the far-left that has embraced the jihadists of Hamas, exulting in their freedom to at long last express their hatred of the Jewish state and wanting to show that the Germans have gotten over their complex about the Holocaust, and what better way to demonstrate that than by damning the Jewish state?
“Genocide, genocide, genocide.” That grotesque charge only began to be made in the last few months; earlier in the Gaza War the charge of the anti-Israel brigade was “apartheid,” which then became “ethnic cleansing,” and now, in the last few months, the charge of “genocide” is made on every conceivable occasion, repeated mindlessly by those who have no idea what the definition of “genocide” is, but knowing it is the very worst thing that can be said about a country. Listen, for example, to the Arab spokesmen interviewed on the Western media, and they will blithely describe the need to “stop the genocide in Gaza.” The interviewers simply let the calumny pass without comment, thereby reinforcing the audience’s belief that Israel is indeed guilty of “genocide.” “Genocide” requires intent, and for two years the IDF has made a tremendous effort to minimize civilian deaths, mainly by dropping millions of leaflets, sent millions of text messages, and made millions of robocalls, warning civilians to leave certain neighborhoods and buildings that are about to be targeted. If Israel wanted to commit genocide, why would it expend so much effort in warning civilians away from danger?
The protesters also want the German government to halt all arms sales to Israel. And ideally, the entire Western world would join such an embargo. That, of course, would leave Israel hopelessly vulnerable, at the very moment when it is being forced to fight a seven-front war for its survival.. This is exactly what the Berlin protesters want: an end to the Jewish state, and its replacement by a 23rd Arab one. It is these protesters who, if their demands were met, would be contributing to a second “genocide” of the Jewish people.
