In recent years the Irish political establishment has consisted of people filled with an anti-Israel animus. The prime minister (Taoiseach) is Micheál Martin. At the UN in September he accused Israel of “genocide” and claimed that its actions were an “abandonment of all norms” of international law. He has accused Israel of deliberately starving citizens in Gaza, at a time when the Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation had already delivered more than 200 million meals to Gazans before ceasing operation. Simon Harris, the former prime minister and now foreign minister and deputy prime minister, joins him in his anti-Israel animus. Harris has, like Martin, accused Israel of “genocide” and called on the EU to consider breaking ties with the Jewish state. Harris has also called for sanctions against “West Bank settlers.” As foreign minister, he was the moving force behind Ireland’s recognition of a “state of Palestine.”
Now Catherine Connolly has just been elected as the president of Ireland. And she is even more anti-Israel than Martin and Harris, being unwilling to condemn Hamas for the atrocities it carried out on October 7, 2023. More on Connolly can be found here: “New Irish president Catherine Connolly draws backlash over past anti-Israel remarks,” by Mathilda Heller, Jerusalem Post, October 26, 2025:
The election of far-left, anti-establishment candidate Catherine Connolly as Irish president has split the country, not least its Jewish community.
Connolly, who won in a landslide on Saturday, has called Israel a “terrorist state” and a “rogue state” on several occasions, and has also said that “history didn’t begin on October 7.”…
According to Connolly, Israel is not just guilty of a “genocide” in Gaza; it has always been in its very essence a “terrorist state.” Neither Martin nor Harris went that far in their condemnation of Israel. She also says that “history did not begin on October 7,” meaning that with is attacks on that day Hamas was merely resisting Israeli oppression and land theft that had been going on since 1948. She has refused to condemn Harris outright for its tortures, rapes, mutilations, and murders carried out on October 7, and instead of recognizing its reign of terror in Gaza, she has claimed that Hamas is “part of the fabric of the Palestinian people,” and therefore, she argues, the group ought to take part in the future governance of Gaza, something that the U.S., Israel, the Arab states, the Palestinian Authority, and most Gazans are dead set against.
Thus does Ireland go down the antisemitic rabbit-hole, with Catherine Connolly now the leader of that nauseating pack.

And the White countries go full steam ahead with genociding themselves.Hard to believe the White voters want their demise by voting for such scum.

Ireland surges in the European Islamopandering derby.
Rick Gordon says
Stupidity and ignorance are difficult to overcome – especially in politicians. I worry about the Irish government’s anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli rants and policies on Americans of Irish descent. Will they speak out against the Irish screed or will they quietly acquiesce.

Many Irish people are against her sort. Yet those vile people keep being voted in.
Paul Burns says
Many have likened her campaign to a cult. She has the speaking tone and mannerisms of a Catholic nun of old, but she is the High Priestess of Woke, Abortion, Jew hate, Anti-Capitalism, Jihad, Open Borders, Marxism, Resentment, Chaos and Disorder.

Maybe she went to an old fashioned convent school, and rebelled against it.

Oddly enough, what’s left of Ulster’s conservative Protestant and Unionist sentiment tends to be pro-Israel; the IRA has always tended to be pro-“Palestinian”, and maybe that translates into the Fiann Faill and other nationalist sentiments in the rest of the island. Heavens knows that the IRA has been friends with every enemy of decency and civilization from Adolf Hitler through Yuri Andropov through Muammar Qaddafi.
carpediadem says
This not just about the IRA. Trinity College and Trocaire, to name just two heavily Catholic organisations, have propagandised heavily against Israel and support “Palestinian orgs, not to mention the standard islamic organisations.
They form networks with each other.
Paul Burns says
Yes, there is an element of knee-jerk tribalism to how the Loyalists in Ulster support Israel. I am from the Nationalist ethnicity, but the Loyalists are right to support Israel. Any decent person would. The IRA/Sinn Féin allied with the PLO, Gaddafi, Soviets, Hitler… any enemies of civilisation they could find to work with them Pure scum they are.

Remember, Ireland sent condolences to Germany over the death of Hitler.

Yes, evidently Mr O’Hitler didn’t get enough done, on the Judenhass front, for those people, so they were sorry to see him go.
I am waiting for that delightful moment when Ireland gets exactly what is deserves: that is, a heaping helping of Sharia Law, brought to them by those Muslim leprechauns they are importing with such love and gusto. Ah, yes… a pot of dhimmitude at the end of that rainbow.
O, did I mention… F*CK IRELAND!

Also, IRA used to work w/ the PLO during the Cold War. Not to surprising that Ireland has pro-Pali leaders

They also snuggled up to the KGB and Stasi, too. Those are reasons why, God forgive me, a part of me silently cheered every time one of those filthy bogtrotters starved himself to death in Long Kesh.
During the First Gulf War, Sodom Insane reached out to them offering $40K for every Western diplomat assassinated, and $10K for every Western diplomatic dependent so wasted. However, the IRA was prudent enough to realize their taking him up on the offer wouldn’t play well in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia (favorite fund-raising grounds).

Uncle Kepha abominates the memory of Adolf Hitler, and believes that, barring some unknown last-minute repentance (rather hard when one blows one’s own brains out), Hitler burns in the depths of Hell.
However, having had a short and inglorious diplomatic career, I can undertand why Mr. De Valera’s government followed tyopical neutralist diplomatic boilerplate in sending the Third Reich a condolence note.

Being a confessional Presbyterian by religion (although very little British Isles ancestry), I put up with much, but, when our kind gets riled, we get very, very dangerous (witness the other side of the Northern Irish troubles).
The Protestant Boys are loyal and true
Stout hearted in battle and stout-handed too
The Protestant Boys are true to the last
And faithful and peaceful when danger has passed
And Oh! they bear
And proudly wear
The colours that floated o’er many a fray
Where cannons were flashing
And sabres were clashing
The Protestant Boys still carried the day.
Although, looking at “Mainstream” Presbyterianism, I doubt they could be counted on to live up to such lyrics.

She is going to fight climate change by bringing in hordes of migrants that come from low carbon footprint countries. But don’t worry, that will have no effect on Ireland. She will fight climate change but ask her to change a flat tire and she would be lost. I call her types the stupid old women for islam (and every other bat shit crazy idea). She focuses on Israel as she supports bringing habitual rapists in to her country. I guess she hates Irish females as much as she hates Israel. Ireland saw125,300 immigrants in the year to April 2025, down from 149,200 the year before. This is the fourth year in a row where more than 100,000 people have arrived in Ireland. What a disaster for the Irish. It makes one wonder if those Irish jokes had a legitimate point.
Tim gallagher says
In a democracy the people get the type of of government they deserve. This election of a bunch of far left fuckwits in a landslide sounds very similar to result in Australia early this year. Then there’s Starmer and his fools in the UK. What the fuck is wrong with people. The Muslim invasion will go on with idiots like these lefties voted into power.

Just appalling stuff–but this sadly does not surprise. I wish it did.

Apparently I misspoke when I credited Baron Lionel de Rothschild with raising only £250,000 for Irish potato famine relief. I stand corrected by an article published by Aish the real amount was closer to £600,000. Ireland’s anti-Israel stance just reeks of ingratitude.

Now Ireland may fall to Islam. I believe now that, as the strength of Islam increase in the West, there will be civil wars and possibly a world war.
