Canada: University of Toronto, Mississauga hold ‘honouring our martyrs’ event for Oct. 7 anniversary

When any society that supposedly upholds the rule of law tolerates such depravity, it is doomed. Canada has a shameful record of soaring antisemitism, and it isn’t getting any better. It’s getting worse.

Dangerous pro-jihad elements are polluting Canadian institutions, as well as its streets, and are a threat to public safety. Yet they are getting little pushback from normal society. Instead, Canada has launched an anti-“Islamophobia” campaign to commemorate Islamic history month.

Hamas victims’ families and Canadian Jewish groups are condemning anti-Israel protesters’ plans for events commemorating the “martyrs of Palestine” on Tuesday, the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks.

“When you think they can’t sink any lower, they do,” said Raquel Look, a Montreal woman whose son, Alexandre, was murdered on Oct. 7, 2023, after attending the Nova Music Festival in Re’im, southern Israel.

Alexandre, a 33-year-old Canadian who lived and worked in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, was in Israel on vacation when he was killed, said his mom.

“I had to wait three weeks for Alex’s body to come home, and it was a hell I don’t wish upon anyone,” she said.

Social media posts indicate there are events planned at several Canadian universities, including Concordia, McGill and the University of Toronto, that would appear to glorify the October 7 attacks.

On Tuesday morning, Concordia released a statement that said “all in-person classes and activities on the Sir George Williams Campus, including labs,” were cancelled due to “potentially obstructive protests.”“Faculty and staff who normally work on the SGW Campus are asked to work remotely, if possible,” it said….

  1. Yes, with every day, there comes a new *low* to which evil people have descended; and they show just how evil they are.

    History if chock-full of examples of society accepting such evils and then destruction was upon them.
    Canada will one day…perhaps very soon…become another such example.

    • “The Oct. 7, 2025 edition of the paper, under the front page article titled “Hamas: A Brief History,” says that the publication marks “two years since the people of Gaza tore down the fences of their modern concentration camp.”

      The “Columbia Intifada” emerged as a student-produced paper distributed by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJC), though the university quickly condemned it late last year, saying the paper’s message to promote or glorify violence violates Columbia University policy.”

      • Tore down the fences, concentration camp?!? No mention of parading naked corpses of rape victims through the camp’s streets to the cheers of barbarians so like themselves? Somehow attaining freedom requires this intermediate step? Outrageous.

        • The response by these *students* shows just how much darkness surrounds them, their minds, their hearts.
          There is an overused term, “having a field day.” satan is certainly having his.

  4. I would keep a very close eye on those student doctors stating that, “according to the UN and WHO” that a genocide is taking place in Gaza.

    At some point, they will have Jews as patients.

    • The heroes of these students raped and sodomized babies. Heroes are people that young people emulate. These student should have to explain to their government why they should not be a list of sexually depraved people. But of course, logic left Canada long ago, so these students won’t have to answer for what they aspire to do.

      • I’ll bet there is a lot of money coming into this school from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Islam is buying the minds of our youth through these schools.

  5. Leftists and Islam’s Muslims corrupt and bankrupt a country from within as islamization grows with Islamic Law to help destroy Non-Muslims. Under Islam, Non-Muslims are criminals to be impoverished and annihilated(Quran 9:5, 29, 111, etc.).

    Allah’s Islam, a CRIMINAL-TERRORIST-GANG ENTERPRISE and a MURDEROUS-DEMONIC CULT OF BELIEVERS, Terrorist Muslim Soldiers for Allah, continually fund, promote, and practice ideological subversion, propaganda, bigotry, discrimination, deceit, industrial-scale slavery, human trafficking, intimidation, supremacy, segregation, hatred, incitement to violence, criminality, genocide, victimhood, censorship, and terrorism as taught in Islamic Law, Sharia, and in Islam’s Quran(Quran 5:14,35; 8:60; 9:41, 88, etc.).

    As taught by Allah, Muslims are terrorists for Allah with their MONEY and their LIVES. Allah in Qur’an 49:15 states, “Surely the believers[Muslims] are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed jihad with their MONEY and their LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.” Allah in Quran 4:101 says, “…Surely the infidels(Non-Muslims) were your clear enemies.”

    MUSLIM BELIEVERS are a greater TERROR than Allah. Allah in Qur’an 59:13 says, “You[Muslims] are a greater terror in their chests than Allah. This is because they[Jews & Christians] are people who do not understand.” Islam must be banned as illegal, and we have the legal right to defend ourselves from Muslim violence. As a result, Non-Muslims are marked for death by Islam and its Muslims.

  6. Maybe they think that the Jews massacred that day or subsequently in captivity are “martyrs”?

    Actually, in Arabic, the term they use is “shahid”, which is someone who dies fighting a jihad. “Martyr” is not a clean translation of “shahid”: that term should simply be re-used in English, since it’s such a unique concept. Like jihad, jiziya, dhimmi,……
