The hypocrisy is staggering and the inversion of reality total. As longtime Jihad Watch readers are well aware, there really is a Muslim genocide of Christians in Nigeria: see abundant documentation here. There was and is no genocide in Gaza, but such claims helped advance the jihad against Israel. According to a hadith, Muhammad said, “War is deceit.” (Bukhari 4.52.268).
“No, Bill Maher, there is no ‘Christian genocide’ in Nigeria: From Boko Haram to herder–farmer clashes, Nigeria’s crises are complex. Simplistic genocide claims fuel propaganda.” By Gimba Kakanda, Al Jazeera, October 2, 2025:
In recent days, coordinated attacks on Nigeria’s nationhood have swept across social media, blogs and television outlets, alleging a so-called “Christian genocide”. These attacks, driven by foreign actors, mischaracterise Nigeria’s domestic conflicts, ignore its complexities and manipulate longstanding ethnic and resource-based tensions to advance sectarian agendas.
One of the figures driving this propaganda is American comedian and television host Bill Maher, who used his show to deliver a sensationalised account alleging the systematic slaughter of Christians in Nigeria. “I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches. These are the Islamists, Boko Haram,” he said. “This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.” His sources are largely fabricated claims and manipulated images from unverified outlets. These distorted narratives drew applause from his audience, while Fox News, true to form, amplified them….

al jeerza is a hamas mouthpiece…a terror mouthpiece made up of lying muzzies.(and yes I misspelled the name of the lying rag, but I don’t care) who sent some of their *journalists* aka hamas terrorists…to gaza;
Too many actual sources which report on the happenings in Nigeria and other African states, have told of the slaughter, kidnapping, rapes, and destruction and theft of property for them all to be lying about it.
And this lying rag wants the world to believe that the Christians are causing as much of a problem as the muzzies who are murdering them.
Maher may be wrong about a lot of things, but he’s right on this.

I have never understood how the media outlet that was at the center of Osama bin Laden’s post 9/11 messages, (which DHS asked to be censored b’cos he could have been sending coded messages to sleeper cells in the US,) ever gained any credibility in the West, let alone in this country. It would be like Brits listening to Nazi broadcasts during the Battle of Britain. Heck, even Qatar’s neighbors can’t stand al Jazeera: while that outlet freely criticizes the rulers in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Manama and Muscat, they make it a point not to criticize the al Thanis, nor any muslim brotherhood supported entity, such as Hamas or Turkey
Only thing: al Jazeera doesn’t sound much different from
MSNBCMSNOW, CNN, BBC, et al. The latter is just English translations of the former, or the former is just Arabic translations of the lattersomehistory says
One has to wonder how obl would be treated now if still alive and spewing his threats. Perhaps he would be invited to NYC to see one of his own take over the mayor’s office.

” …al jeerza is a hamas mouthpiece”
it is a Qatari mouthpiece…their emir, Tamim bin Hamad “was educated at the UK’s Sherborne School (International College) in Dorset,[3]
and at Harrow School, where he sat his A-Levels in 1997.[3]
[1] He then attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, graduating in 1998.[1]”
He has 3 wives, and 13 children…
so much for a British education- he is a committed muslim jihadist

It is both, Ploome.

Mass murder of Christians in Africa by Muslims is not just happening in Nigeria, as JW readers know. Christians are also being slaughtered by Allah’s minions in other African countries, including Congo, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Mali, Kenya – and the list goes on.
somehistory says
It’s easier to name those nations where Christians are not being slaughtered by muzzies. A much shorter list.
Alkflaeda says
Countries where Christians are not being slaughtered by Muslims yet – it isn’t that they are more generously disposed towards any of us, only that opportunity has not arisen.

Al Jazeera, which pushed Gaza genocide lie, now denounces ‘simplistic genocide claims’ in Nigeria
…………………………………………
Al Jazeera is lying, And the claim that this is “farmer/herder conflict is also a lie. Is that why Boko Haram is attacking Christian schools and killing the boys and kidnapping and raping the girls–because they want mire grazing land? Try again…
And note that ll the attacks are by Muslims attacking Christians. Odd, that…

IS THERE CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE IN NIGERIA?
Aljazeera feature an opinion piece from a contributor Gimba Kakanda a Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Research and Analytics in the Office of the Vice President who try to refute the claim of Bill Maher an American comedian and television host who uses his show to deliver sensationalized account alleging the systematic slaughter of Christians in Nigeria. “I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches. These are the Islamists, Boko Haram,” he said. “This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.” The question is whether Bill Maher is right or wrong but then how is genociide defined or understood. According to the United nation genocide convention, genocide is defined as (a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. Is there any doubt that the atrocities of terrorist does not meet these conditions? There have been clear and abundant reports on targeted christian community where there are incidents of beheadings, community razed and it people completely annihilated. The terrorist have on several occasions admitted to it and seeks to islamize the nation. The fact that the terrorist admits to it and their actions stems from a tenet or belief system that is based on human superiority, hegemony and supremacy ideology genocide cannot be ruled out. Genocidal actions stems from deep rooted hatred, supremacy, superiority, prejudice, racism, bigotry and this no doubt is the pattern found in the actions of these terrorist. Most people like Gimba Kakanda are always saying that these terrorist are not representative of islam and they are labeled as extremist. What these people fail to admit is that these terrorist are expansionist vision of islamism which is rooted in Islam. These terrorist are trying expand and implement what already exist in islam and in regions whose government is run by the tenet of islam. These are societies where the government and resources is monopolised by the people of these faith or beliefs and you don’t have people of other faith and beliefs living and participating side by side in a true democratic system. There is systematic discrimination, human supremacy and superiority against other people with different faith and beliefs. As long as these terrorist holds a view that sees other people with different faith and beliefs as less of human tend there is tendency of genocide as the extremist will try to dispossessed them of their resources and power.This is the kind of society that these terrorist want and the kind of beliefs they have. These is the kind of society that the Nazi wanted and why there seek to expand.These is the kind of society that the ottoman empire wanted and that what led to the genocide in Europe.The northern Nigeria like other countries like Afghanistan, Iran Qatar and so on is a reflection of the aspirations of these extremist in Nigeria at the national level so if someone says there is no genocide in Nigeria from the actions of these extremist is not to understand the political stance of islamism and it ideology that these extremist holds towards which they seek to expands. Let be clear that a society that exists with these set of values mentioned above will likely committ genocide because they do not believe in equality and human rights of others irrespective of their beliefs.The Armenian genocide and the Nazi holocaust are reflection of a society that hold these kind of beliefs and values. Gimba Kakanda categorically said “that these terrorist are despised by both Muslims and Christians. Boko Haram, along with ISWAP and bandit groups, treat anyone who opposes them as an enemy, regardless of faith. They have bombed mosques, assassinated Muslim leaders and killed Christians, demonstrating their indiscriminate violence. To characterize this as a strictly anti-Christian campaign is propaganda”. What Gimba Kakanda is trying to portray as an apologetic of islamism is that as long as these terrorist targeted both religions therefore their act is indiscriminate and these does not meet the definition of genocide. Of course these terrorist will target other people who do not seem to carry out the acts of which they both believe in.
Of course there have been report of Nazis killing other Nazis for not following through on the actual concept of Nazism. Nazi killing another Nazi cannot count as genocide. Gimba Kakanda you might think you have a point but Bill Maher is not wrong, there is genocide against the christians in Nigeria. On his comparisons to the media accusations of genocide in Gaza. The genocide in Gaza as the media has claimed cannot be seen in the same light as the genocide going on in Nigeria or compared to the Armenian genocide or the holocaust. The so called genocide in Gaza is as result of military strategy against Hamas. Whoever classifies these acts as genocide has little understanding of war and the strategies to win.

Maher has obviously embarrassed the Nigerian government – but why ever did they choose al Jazeera as an outlet for their attempted defence? Surely the people they most wanted to convince would have been reading other media. Unless they picked al Jazeera because another outlet might publish rebuttals of Kakanda’s claims, which al Jazeera probably wouldn’t.
It would seem that there is a list of words which may be applied only where Muslims are the alleged victims, genocide and apartheid being amongst them. We can’t have anyone deflecting the world’s attention from Gaza, after all. And doubtless suspecting any Muslim of taqiyya is also Islamophobic.

“Islamist extremists have taken this country to the brink” (The Washington Post)
“BAMAKO, Mali — After years spent accumulating arms and influence in rural parts of this West African nation, al-Qaeda-aligned militants have shown their power now extends to the heart of the state — imposing a fuel blockade that has paralyzed the Malian capital and threatens its military government.”
“Scores of humanitarian and commercial flights have been canceled or rescheduled. International embassies and nonprofits are stockpiling supplies and planning for worst-case scenarios. In Bamako, which has largely been spared the effects of the violence and instability gripping much of the rest of the country, frustrated residents spend hours searching for gas. Cars and motorcycles jostle for space in long lines snaking from the few open stations. Blackouts are spreading.
“The emergency is here, and the situation is very, very critical,” said Bamako resident Aboubacrine Ag Ali, 62, in an interview last week. He has been mostly stuck at home for weeks, unable to afford taxi fares that he said have doubled since early September, when a spokesman for the Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin militant group, or JNIM, declared it would block nearly all fuel imports into Mali.
The United States recently stepped up intelligence sharing with the junta, hoping to stanch the militants’ momentum. But they are only getting stronger.
“They are everywhere,” ag Ali said of the insurgents. “Everywhere.”
Experts put JNIM’s fighting force across the Sahel around 6,000, a seemingly small figure in a nation of nearly 25 million. But the group has managed to solidify its rule, and win popular support, across vast swaths of Mali and neighboring Burkina Faso and now menaces coastal nations like Benin, Togo and Ghana. The group’s crippling fuel blockade, according to Malian and Western officials as well as analysts, is an expansion of its strategic economic warfare — and its most significant show of strength to date.
JNIM initially said the blockade was a response to government efforts to restrict fuel sales in areas it controls. In a statement Friday, the insurgents declared the siege would continue until the junta fell or agreed to apply “Islamic sharia law” nationwide. All women traveling outside Bamako, whether on public transport or in private cars, must wear the hijab, the statement decreed.”
