Virginia: Imam says ‘the world is a better place without’ Charlie Kirk, tears of his followers ‘make me smile’

In his September 12, 2025 Friday sermon at Masjid William Salaam in Norfolk, VA, Imam Ismail Saleem reflected on the assassination of Charlie Kirk, calling empathy for his family and friends a “problem.” He said that those who empathize do so because “they are not good people themselves.” Saleem asked whether anyone would want Kirk’s children to continue his legacy when they grow up, and he added: “The world is a better place without him,” saying it makes him smile that Kirk is “getting what he deserves right now.” He continued to say that their tears and anger make him smile.

Ismail Saleem: “You see, the problem today is with empathy. The problem that we see currently, in these last couple of days, is that the empathy for the family and friends of the racist person [Charlie Kirk].

“Does anyone hope that this man’s children grow up to be like him or continue his legacy and his work? Some people empathize because they are not good people themselves.

“He died disrespecting black people, so I don’t care about him at all. The world is a better place without him. He is getting what he deserves right now, and it makes me smile. Their tears make me smile. Their anger makes me smile, because they weren’t crying when they see Palestinian children dying every single day when they lose their parents.

“So why would I cry? Let them see how we feel. See how it feels for people to not care about you at all. If they want to help, tell their friends and family to stop being racist, then we’ll stop being indifferent to whatever happens to them.”

    How does that idiot feel about what this imam is saying? Probably agrees with him since she compared Mr. Kirk to the murderer of the young and lovely Ukrainian woman who was stabbed to death.

  3. A bitter irony in all this is that Charlie Kirk was far more tolerant, actually infinitely more tolerant, of opposing ideas than this horrible excuse for a human being.

    Islam and modern Western Leftism both have totalitarianism written all over them. Charlie Kirk had nothing to do with totalitarianism. Indeed, he was a champion of freedom which neither Islam nor Leftism is. So no wonder so many Leftists and Muslims have cheered Kirk’s death.

    I mean, the ‘prophet of allah’ had no idea if he was going to hell or paradise, even though he pushed islam.

  8. This Muslims reaction is exactly what you would expect. The death of a decent person would, of course, make the evil Muslims happy and make them smile Islam is always on the side of evil. It praises evil scum such as Hamas and loves to see good, civilised human beings killed. Letting Muslims into any non Muslim country is the worst move ever. He just did not agree with DEI policy which may put unqualified back people to certain positions tha may endanger people live like a pilot job. He also disagreed with paying back the black for the suffering of the blacks a long time ago because he was not responsible for what happened back then.
    If these are called disrespecting black people, then the Arabs are more deserved to be called disrespecting the blacks because they are the ones who discriminate blacks on life and they were also the ones who traded and enslaved black people.

      “It was narrated that Jabir Sair: “A slave came and gave his pledge to the Messenger of Allah to emigrate, and the Prophet did not realize that he was a slave. Then his master came looking for him. The Prophet said; ‘Sell him to me.’ So he bought him for two black slaves, then he did not accept until he had asked; ‘Is he a slave?”

      My guess is no or if he does will claim “it was taken out of context.”

In his interview w/ Ridvan Aydemir (Apostate Prophet) earlier this year, they discussed islam and Ridvan cleared Charlie of a lot of “misconceptions” about islam, starting from Aisha’s age and how imams rationalize it. Earlier when Megyn Kelly was guest hosting Charlie’s show, during the breaks, Charlie had a conversation w/ someone on how both the Left as well as muslims love to appropriate Christ for their own ends, and he noted the irony that Christians are neither interested in appropriating Muhammad nor Karl Marx

    We do have people here from Robert Spencer, Raymond Ibrahim, David Wood, Daniel Greenfield, Hugh Fitzgerald, Ridvan Aydemir,… who are completely literate about islam. Only problem: few outside the jihad-watchers’ circles have heard of them. Only famous American (don’t know about Mark Steyn’s exact status – whether he’s still a Canadian citizen or a naturalized American, living as he does in New Hampshire) has been openly outspoken about islam, and we rarely see nor hear from him these days. Charlie Kirk was the only mainstream voice in the broader conservative movement who was beginning to see this (if he didn’t already) and speak out about it, and now he’s out of the picture. Of the others, Tucker Carlson seems to think that islam is a Qatari sub-sect of Christianity, Steve Bannon says nothing & still equates today’s Iranians w/ the ancient Persians, I have heard nothing from Don Jr (maybe better not to jeopartize Trump properties in GCC countries), I don’t hear much from Victor Davis Hanson, even though he was a former mentor of Raymond Ibrahim.

    I’d like not to think so, but looks like from a standpoint of educating the general GOP voter base about the dangers of islam, Charlie’s assassination has really set us back

Especially since they condone the warfare tactics of Hamas which include using children as gun fodder; preschools as bomb storage units and hospitals as war headquarters. They also believe killing their own children ensures martyrdom….and even in the UK when protesting they put the babies in the front of the parade to literally hide behind children and babies. This means if the police or IDF want to deal with terrorism they must go through innocent babies. It’s disgusting. Not only that but these twisted Palestinian supporters did not care about innocent israli babies being burned in ovens or mutilated…and certainly did not.care; or even joined in the glee of watching their mothers and sisters get raped in front of them; or their fathers tortured and beheaded bc they would not quote the Quran. Deluded or not, he’ll take your life without a second thought because (1) you’re not Islam and (2) you’re not black. ‘My’ religion advises me to ‘hate evil’ and ‘be not of this world’. Hate and ignorance took Charlie’s life and this ‘walking devil’ will applaud his passing. What or who is that imam, He’s a prayer leader in a mosque to a false pagan god , Likewise, he’s member of a false religion that is not much more than a death cult.

    It wouldn’t be of any surprise if he’s also very favorable to that dangerous insidious and subversive movement that is known as the “Red/Green Alliance.”
