US blocks Abbas, Palestinian officials from attending UN General Assembly, denies visas

The US State Department said that along with  Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, “the US has denied visas to 80 other officials from the PA,” and provided the reason in a statement:

In a statement, the department reiterated longstanding US and Israeli allegations that the PA and PLO had failed to repudiate terrorism while pushing for“unilateral recognition” of a Palestinian state.

They haven’t failed only to repudiate terrorism, but have also encouraged jihad terror in a quest to obliterate Israel from the (Jordan) River to the (Mediterranean) Sea.

America, along with every other Western nation, should not be encouraging the jihad against Israel. Kudos to the Trump administration, which realizes the ambition of jihadists, despite the latter’s proficiency in waging a successful propaganda war.

The US will not allow Palestinian officials and diplomats, including Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, to attend next month’s United Nations General Assembly in New York.

A State Department official said Abbas and about 80 other Palestinians would be affected by the decision to deny and revoke visas from members of the PA and the umbrella Palestine Liberation Organization.

In a statement, the department reiterated longstanding US and Israeli allegations that the PA and PLO had failed to repudiate terrorism while pushing for “unilateral recognition” of a Palestinian state.

Palestinian officials reject such allegations and say that decades of US-mediated talks have failed to end Israeli occupation and secure an independent Palestinian state.…

  2. The PA is just terrorist light as opposed to Hamas. It’s essentially a distinction without a difference though way too many in a Western Civilization that is declining precipitously by the year, let alone by the decade, will take no note of this—but then this is the reason why the West is descending at a rapid pace. Ignorance is deadly often times, you know.

    Islam is evil, always has been, and the West is presently stupid, though most certainly historically hasn’t been. But is now. Not a good combo, to wit, something always evil plus something that was once something but is no longer something.

    Looks pretty bleak for mankind at present, especially when adding in other negatives like a permanently dysfunctional Latin America, a permanently dysfunctional Africa, a Russia which never learns and a China which has remained immensely stupid throughout its history in the “liberty category.”

    Are you and anyone else aware that the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) has special status at the UN and is also an OBSERVER on various issues, including human rights, sustainable development and peace and security. There is much, much more on what the OIC can do in both the UN and EU, but it’s too much to post here. Much of this information came from the OIC website and AI

    In addition, The OIC has had a formal dialogue with the EU since 2001. The EU also provides financial support to the OIC for various projects and initiatives.

    THIS group and many others need to be looked at or investigated. They have an office in DC and they sound dangerous. They’re also flooded with money, but some is from “Member Islamic States” but where’s the rest coming from.

    Please look into it. Someone must!

  7. Great decision from the US, after months of pandering to islamic entities – Hamas, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, et al. The only advantage of having the UN in NYC – we can block Palis from attending

    As Nigel Farage, who I increasingly disdain, noted, Belgium is not a real country. Probably just a tad more real than “Palestine”

  8. The Palis as a non-nation, never had a right to attend the UN as observers or otherwise. Abbas’s pay-for-slay policy, where captured/killed terrorists’ families get a stipend from the PA should disqualify him from ever entering the US. Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are barred from entering England for their speech. If you ask me, that is a blessing and not a curse! Likewise, Abbas should see this US prohibition as a blessing. It is one less thing for him to do in his old age.

    Head of a nascent terror state, you don’t qualify.
    Especially when you have repeatedly rejected nationhood.

    The U.N. appears to be an expensive subterfuge.
    It gives cover, prestige and special status to terrorists.

    So pleased to see the United States revoke visas for terrorists. It’s beyond overdue.
